I have this for several fires now and will get right to the good and could be better. The good: *Looks great *built solid *nice cover *Definitely low smoke. It does smoke at startup and if you let it burn down and add several logs all at once. No one ever waves their hands anymore trying to get the smoke out of their eyes. It's just not there. My clothes and hair still have a little smoke smell when done, but I'm the one lighting the fire and adding wood. *Burns hot. We have been able to roast hotdogs and marshmallows with a good flame. No more waiting for the logs to burn down into coals and the flame to disappear. As long as you have some good coals under the fire, cooking is good with a flame. Actually need to keep it farther from the fire than you would think. The could be better: *Opening is not as big as my firewood. I had to cut all my logs in half. If they stick out of the top of the pit, you get smoke. I've not burnt the bag of wood that came with it. I prefer a long fire with logs. *Because the fire is down in the pit, the heat is not felt as easily when sitting nearby. The heat has to go up first. It's good for a summer fire, but when the temps were in the 50's we had to stand next to it to really feel the heat. *the recommend letting the fire just burn out naturally and the coal cool overnight. I.e. no water to put it out. If you do that, the fine powder is easy to clean up. If you put it out with water, it is a bit of a mess to clean up. And if you don't clean it up, the water will cause it to rust. So I recommend you let it die out naturally. There are very few sparks and pops with this fire.

Nice little firepit! You definitely need to keep logs under 14” so nothing is above the rim if u want smoke reduction. Wood packets work really well and provide a lot of heat but get a little expensive. I love it! I also really like the looks better than the stainless steel Solo stoves.

Before buying this, my wife had bought us an inexpensive fire pit during Covid lockdown, just to see how we liked it and how often we’d use it. Like with all such cheap (and small) fire pits, it didn’t hold up well to the intense heat of our fires and also didn’t hold up to the elements. This Tiki fire pit is a complete 180 from that other one, which is what I’d hope for something costing about 10x the price. This is a very sturdy, well built smokeless fire pit that works as advertised. I never use their pellet bags, just hardwood I buy from local places, with fallen branches for kindling and pine needles for tinder. You have to be careful to keep all those pieces two feet long or less, since they stick out the top of the pit when longer than that. But the precut hardwood is exactly that length and works great. I put a fist-size pile of pine needles in the middle, lay twigs on top in classic pyramid style, and it lights instantly and gives a good base fire in just a couple minutes. Then lay on heavier / thicker pieces until it’s ready for the hardwood. Be aware this fire pit is HEAVY! You definitely want to have someone help you get it into place if you can’t easily lift and move 50 pounds. But that weight translates into solid durability. I’ve had mine for just over a year now, and with the provided cover to protect it through winter it has no rust and no signs of wear after several large hot fires that we’ll have burning for 2-3 hours at a time. And it really does burn the wood nearly smokelessly. As long as the wood is dry, I see either no smoke or hardly any. But I still get that wonderful wood fire smell. Damp wood will definitely smoke more. Especially if you let any of it get above the upper vent holes on the inside of the pit wall. With regular wood use, I do recommend buying the screen cover to protect from sparks that can still pop out during burning. If you just use the pellet bags there’s no need.

Aside from the USPS being too lazy and incompetent to deliver it to my house, this is great. It's a good size, looks good, and really keeps the smoke away.

This is as good as a Solo but cheaper and more stylish. As long as you keep your wood stack below the top of the fire pit, it is mostly smokeless. I separately purchased and highly recommend the brass top. I would buy again if I needed another. It is good quality and heavy duty. I’ve had it for about six months now without any rust, but I do keep it in a covered gazebo so aside from the occasional rain that blows sideways it stays mostly dry. It did come with a cover.

So obviously it's not "smokeless" ...BUT does an amazing job of directing smoke upwards and away. My gripe with other firepits has always been too much smoke blowing your way when sitting around, depending what the breeze is doing, how much moisture is in the wood etc....plus it always follows me for some odd reason. No more with this firepit. It was very easy to set up, it's not very heavy, and provides excellent heat. Plus directs smoke away, due to the way it is constructed, means a little above your head if you are sitting around it. You will still get the smoke and also feel it if you are standing around it. Looks great too. Gives a great glow reflecting off the inner walls when the wood has changed into embers.

Great reading, I got this for class at school. It was interesting and provided great dialogue for my school paper.Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2025

This fire pit is great. It is virtually smokeless easy to light. Compact looks great and keeps you warm during the cool nights would definitely recommend.

Love love love this firepit. Lots of room inside for the firewood and it burns hot and smokeless. So glad we purchased this. Definitely recommend this product.
