I was a fairly skeptical going in about the quality of this microscope as I had purchased on of the scopes that was hand and app controlled in the past and felt it to be a waste of money. I took the dive on this one because I was curious how the LCD side lights and other features would make a digital experience. I was really surprised ultimately by the quality of the unit when I plugged it in. The display is off high quality such that whatever is in focus in the microscope is crisp. Battery life is great. I used it for a good bit of time over two days and still had all 3 bars of battery. I got this to use with my father, a retired high-level scientist and he was similarly impressed. The accessories and controls add to the experience, particularly the side lights, which really help with precision and image quality in suboptimal situations. The pics I included show the corner of a vintage card I have, which will better allow me if I want to spend the $20 to get it professionally graded as well as the middle, so you can see how sharp the dots of color are. If you have a card or coin collection, this can save a good deal on assessment. I DO wish the manual was more substantial, as some users might want that off the bat to have the best out of the box experience. So, really, what I'm saying, is that if you are looking to shell out for a PC microscope in this price range, you shouldn't hesitate to put this guy on your short list

This is a review of the 7 inch screen "coin" microscope. It is a basic unit with add on's to finish the job. The lights on the base are not really useful as they are hard to aim and just add glare. The battery provides power for a very short time, so for a useful device a usb phone charger power supply and the 6 inch extension will be needed. The remote control is very useful using high magnification as space under the screen gets very crowded. Setting the unit height sets the base magnification, the camera adjustment sets the internal focus of the image. The settings adjustment allows much better images at the cost of less photos per memory card. Under full power, .2 millimeter fills the whole screen with a clear image. Widest angle allows images full screen of a coin the size of a silver dollar.

Pretty good microscope - better than many I have tried in the past. The major difference is that the image is sharp and clear, rather than the wide-angle "Fisheye" image I have seen on other digital microscopes. The instructions were poorly translated into English words that make little sense. There are not assembly or wiring directions, but it's pretty hard to mess up. The side of the box shows how the microscope sits in the upright, which is screwed into the base. What they don't show you is that a white silicone band was provided to make the microscope fit more snugly. Because of the missing instructions, I went to YouTube to look for a video. I found several, but none was particularly helpful on the assembly and wiring. So, the first wire is obviously for the remote control and it's a round plug that only has one place it can go. The other is a mini-USB connector, which is probably to use with a cellphone or to connect to a computer. The second cable was a standard USB-B to USB-mini, which allows you to charge the viewer with any USB charger (not included). This kit did include a USB memory stick with a driver to use on Windows computers. It also has a 32 GB mini card for storage. Mine had no calibration overlay as I have seen on other videos, but it's not needed. The on-screen setup is intuitive enough. The remote duplicates the keys already under the viewer. "M" is the Mode button. The OK button chooses an option in the menu, the "M" (mode) button goes back a step. There is an up and down arrow for the menu and not very many options, anyway (resolution, ISO, date and time, etc.). The main thing is it's a stable platform and the microscope has it's own array of leds. The two platform lights are on flexible extensions, but you have to use the USB cable to power the base stand lights. They have their own dimmer in the back of the stand. Great little microscope. You can take pictures directly from the viewer or download them to your computer. The field of view is about 1 cm at max distance, less if you are closer to the lens. Notice that the stand can be lowered to get closer and the focus ring is around the microscope lens itself. Pretty clever and a good value for what it is. Coins and hallmarks are particularly easy to make out.

Please read the little book this thing comes with, lots of good info. Picture quality is really good, good enough for me to solder. The light attached to the microscope has a dimmer along with a light hood to reduce glare. You can record images/video with this and the SD card it comes with on highest settings allows for 99,999 images. I attached two images of an SSD card, zoomed out and zoomed in for comparison. My only complaint is the two lights attached to the base plate are over kill and not needed, seems to be a missed opportunity to make this into clips or a set of extra hands. Otherwise I have been using this unit every day and the value is definitely worth it.

This little digital microscope is quite nice. I was going to buy a standard stereo microscope but I decided to try this unit first. I'm surprised that the image quality is quite good...nice sharp images. My young granddaughter will get one for her birthday. Like I said, this thing is nice. I don't think you can go wrong with this microscope. The only thing is the instructions could have been a little better but I figured it out.

Wer Besseres will, muss erheblich mehr Geld ausgeben.
