Overall very satisfied with the AXE-5300 bundle which is a package of 3 Deco XE-75's with a very minor change to the top plate appearance. My understanding is it's a cosmetic change only for whatever reason and this 3 pack is then sold through different channels. As a result I'm blanketing my house with these 3 and a single XE-75 for about the same cost most of the competing products with these capabilities would provide 1 or 2 units for. PRO's: PRICE! - at $116/unit in the 3 pack bundle I don't think there's anything that comes close with a 6e capable tri-band. Performance - it's quick, with the 160Mhz 5 and 6 bands available I'm consistently getting excellent wireless connection speeds >1200Mbps for any newer devices. Ease of use - the configuration was quick and simple to provision a 4 node mesh (see CONS below) Wired backhaul - running all 4 through a $25 dedicated TPLink switch that they picked up and started using automatically so all 3 wifi bands are servicing clients exclusively with a reliable Gig-E backbone. CONS Ease of use - the software is simple, VERY simple. Not a lot of configuration options and the management tools are ok. Wifi Backhaul - a Wifi only configuration would be more challenging as you only have single 2x2 2.4, 5, and 6 Ghz bands to play with. Draining the single 5ghz would cut into performance for most clients significantly and 6Ghz is too limited in range and line of sight to be reliable in most applications. Get far enough away and a 2.4 backhaul is going to really cripple performance on any device. For the purpose, knowing the limitations, these are performing excellently for me so far especially at the price point. The software is a little frustrating if you're used to the capabilities of some of the competing alternatives but it's functional. Luckily I have my house pre-wired for Cat 5e and as a result I was able to place 4 of these to provide excellent coverage across 2 floors and the basement in many cases giving me 5-10x the wireless connection speeds I was seeing with a single older wifi 6 router. Went in knowing that the

Bought this set for our house after dealing with crappy Xfinity pods for a few years. The wifi coverage, quality and speed are fantastic. Was getting 300 MBit/s Speedtest scores in a room where I struggled to stay connected with the Xfinity pods. Setting up the second and third access points was effortless. Just plugged them in and they meshed to the network. The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is that their app and the setup instructions it provides are not good. The app tells you to power-cycle your cable modem, which is stupid and completely unnecessary. Then it couldn't get the first access point to accept the wifi network configuration, so it kept telling me to reset the access point and start over. In reality, all I needed to do was kill the Deco app and restart it. Everything was fine after that. The instructions can also be very confusing as to when they're talking about the wifi access point and when they're talking about the cable modem. Lastly, the network diagnostics provided by the Deco app (connected devices, etc.) are not great. Improve your app and this could be a 5-star product.

Had a rough time getting this set up. It just needed a bit of TLC from TP-Link support, which is 24 hours seven days a week. Jobert was very patient and solved the issue!!

So I did alot of research and comparisons before I purchase this system. I bought the 3 units for my house due to house configuration and alot of deadspots. Prior to this unit I had a Netgear RAX70 and a Netgear mesh extender. I had one WIFI name but still had too many drops and signal inconsistencies, that's why I chose a mesh system. I considered ORBI, but feel they are very overpriced. Also Netgear's tech support is poor to say the least and the nighthawk app is far inferior to the TP-Link DECO app. In my house I have 500MB service and get that in the farthest corners of my house. Also it switches quickly to satellites quickly without drops or buffering. Their app is how you setup your system. I give it a 4.5 star at setup and a 5 after setup is complete. I do wish the scanning and monitoring features are available without paying for an annual subscription. Lastly, the units look nice and are very light in weight when compared to netgear and other routers. Good job TP-Link.
