It did take me some time to figure out how to get it to connect. It was really easy once I figured it out. Simply turn off your modem and router. Connect your ethernet cables. (From your modem to the WAN port, and from one of the LAN ports to your computer) Turn power back on to your modem and router at the same time. (Power strip works great for this) My connected quickly once I did that. Now my laptop and desktop are online at the same time. Perfect! Eventually I might learn how to setup the VPN and use some other features this router offers. This little thing does a lot!

The box calls this a “router”, but when I hired 2 techs to come and install it, they said it was just a switch, and they couldn’t install it! I want to return it.

Instructions included are totally worthless. This is the third unit I have ordered from same manufacturer. First two returned because impossible to connect. Instructions included by TP Link are 100% incorrect. I went online to youTube and found correct instructions which work like a charm: Connect to power, then connect computer directly to unit via LAN ethernet and proceed. Very simple and easy.

Have been suffering Comcast regional outage or interruption at business for weeks. Searched chatgpt solutions, and got answer that load balancing is solution. GPT suggested this product, hallelujah... This did really solved my headache of dropped internet phone call, internet outage by balancing connection between Comcast and back up Att Internet. Thank you good product.

I received hardware version 1.6. which is outdated and won't allow me to use it as an Op0neVPN server. This is an old product, and since it was made there have been version 2.0 and 2.6.

I’m a networking guy. This should have been EZ. No where does it say I needed a cross over cable between cable modem and router. In fact, I haven’t needed a crossover cable in years due to auto-MDIX. Apparently this equipment doesn’t have it as an option. Hours of hassle and I almost returned it. Once figured out, it works fine.

Looks like I was sold a 3 year old product, silly me for not checking sooner.
