Physically, this router has a relatively small profile, and unlike many other routers on the market the antenna were built-in. The lights along the front are pretty meaningless, and can be turned off (or on!) with the handy button on the front. The design is minimalist and looks good enough that most people won't feel like they need to hide it. Setup was pretty easy. Plug the router into the wall with the attached power cord, and your modem to the router with the attached ethernet cable to the port labeled "10G Internet". A QR code included in the box links you to the download page for the Tether app. After setting up an account in the app, the process to add your new router relatively quick, though it does require/encourage you to scan the QR code on the back of the router. Configuring the router is also pretty easy through the app, allowing normal configuration setting for 2.4 Ghz, 5 Ghz, and 6 GHz, as well as EasyMesh to connect with other mesh-compatible routers. There are also parental controls that are somewhat basic unless you subscribe to a premium package. If you're not looking for granular control, the options included will probably be fine. Signal strength is excellent, though the speeds for the 2.4 GHz network are a bit slower than I would like. Overall, this is a good router with some good features. With newer WiFi 7 features and a good physical design, this is a solid option for home use, even if it is a bit pricy.

Great, fast speed. Way better than the old 6 wifi router I had before.

Although the specs and appearance look perfect, the BE network has poor stability (or even works properly?). Both my S25U and Pixel9P cannot find the BE channel, which makes the "Wi-Fi 7" feature a complete joke on such an expensive router. It's been almost two years since TP-Link released its first Wi-Fi 7 router, but apparently, they still haven't fixed the BE/MLO stability issue on Wi-Fi 7 devices, which makes me sad.

Honestly, I was skeptical as I had been loyal to my nighthawk router for years, over 7 years in fact. It was time to upgrade, but to what? This. This is what I decided on and ultimately is the best decision I have made in a while! It is super fast, like extremely fast especially with my Fiber network. The 6G is definitely ahead of its time, as only a few of my devices support it (iPhone 16, iPad Pro, PC, etc.) but it is much better than 5G from what I can tell. I do still use 5G of course as that is what is supported by most devices, and even that seems very much improved. The App is where things are really special. Apps I used before felt last minute and thrown together, but this is very user friendly, and has all the settings I could need as an IT professional without having to go through the usual router-sign-in process. I can quickly toggle QoS, manage which devices are prioritized for the best coverage, and monitor the traffic all in one spot! Plus I can easily troubleshoot any issues, and resolve them quickly. This thing is a beast! Overall, I am extremely happy with this router. It has everything I need and enough ports to connect all the lines to my other rooms. I feel like this is as close to professional home management you can get, without having to spend thousands on business-grade equipment. 11/10!

I don't have any devices that support Wi-Fi 7. YET. It's definitely in my near future, and this router is ready for the challenge. It has many features for advanced networking and firewalls. I really like the ability to set up not only my internal network for family, but I can provide a separate connection for guests to give them internet access without me worrying about them snooping around other parts of my network. There's also the option to turn an iOT network so your thermostat, Alexa, and other internet devices don't have access to your stuff, but they can access the internet to do their work for you. I recently had fiber internet installed in my home, and this router can handle the 2 Gb/s speeds. My internal network is currently only a 1 Gb/s network, but I have 1 device with a faster NIC. I plugged it in directly to the router and was getting the advertised speed from my ISP both down AND up! One feature I couldn't find and was surprised was the ability to have a cold standby option for a secondary internet connection. This feature is often available on routers in this price range, but I couldn't find it in the menus. Since fiber is brand new to my neighborhood, I expect some outages and have actually kept my cable subscription for a bit since I work from home and the internet is my lifeline. Not a huge issue to unplug one and plug-in another, but it would be nice if the router did this automatically and switched back to the faster connection when it was available again. Overall I'm happy with this router and it has most of the features I'm looking for and I'm ready for my future WiFi 7 devices and when I finally upgrade my internal wired network.
