This is really easy to use. All you do is plug it into your computer and then whatever you need on the other end. We use this to plug in to our solar panel box to get a quick reading of the output. It connected quickly to our laptop and the cable was a nice length. The design makes it super easy to use. Overall, works great. The price for this is excellent and made our lives so much easier when the solar panels didnโ€™t connect via Bluetooth.

It just arrived. It comes with basic TP-Link package, I liked it. All I had to do is just insert the cables, I'm using CAT 5E ethernet cable, and it works perfectly. I used to get just 40-50 mbps on wifi, but suddenly I get upto 250mbps on ethernet. Although, the cable isn't as flexible as i expected, but i dont mind it. Will follow up after a month, so tell you if there's any problem. Right now it works perfectly. I'm very happy on my purchase.

I have several of these, both the cheaper sort that only has the networking jack and also the more expensive model that contains both a USB hub and the networking jack. Both models seem to work well for giving a device gigabit wired networking, and the model with the USB hub also works for giving you extra USB jacks. And as others have commented, this device is "plug and play" (i.e. just plug it in, and it works). And I have confirmed "gigabit speeds" out of this device, although I suspect you would get slower speeds if you used inferior networking cables/switches and/or your device had a slower USB port (but in both of those cases the slowdown would be the fault of something this adapter is connected to, vs the fault of the adapter itself). However, like all "plug and play" devices, this adapter does require the device you are using it with to have the needed drivers already installed/present. In the case of this adapter, that means your connected device must have "networking via USB" drivers already installed. So any device that doesn't have these needed drivers obviously won't work with this adapter! In my case I have confirmed that several (but not all) of my home "smart TVs" will work with this adapter, as will both of my chromebook laptops, and even my android smartphone (via a USB "on the go" cable). Again, all devices that this adapter works with are "plug and play", although the TVs also needed to be "restarted" (unplugged from house power, plugged back in and then turned on) to convince the TV to use this adapter vs using its builtin WiFi.

Mostly a good adapter, but I noticed slower than expected speeds and some HTTP file downloads get corrupted. I tracked down the problem and it's because TX offload doesn't work correctly on this network adapter. On Linux, I ran this command to bypass this offloading feature: ethtool -K <iface> tx off And everything worked great after that. So yes, it does work with Ubuntu 24 on the 6.8 kernel, but you might need to tweak the settings. Clearly there's an issue with some of the hardware acceleration features. I recommend you do a large file download over HTTP (not HTTPS!) and make sure you're not seeing data corruption.

Very awesome adapter with good speeds, no installation required, the cable itself on the adapter can bend but not that much, compatible with mac, windows, nintendo switch, ios (with an additional adapter)

Plugged into an older laptop, USB3, Windows 11, it installed an older Windows driver and worked very well. Running Windows Update yielded a 2024 ASIX driver which increased the speed by 32%. Recommended!

The product is really good and was delivered on time in perfect condition. Tested both in Mac (Macbook air) and windows (Lenovo Z50). Driver for LAN connection available on Tplink website, link and installing options described in manual provided with the product. Test Run: 1. On Mac with LAN driver from tplink installed, everything runs perfectly. All three 3.0 USB ports can be used at the same time plus LAN connection too. 2. On Windows, LAN connection worked perfectly only after installing the driver from Tplink website. My windows laptop 3.0 USB was not powerful enough to power this adapter for my external hard drive to detect, so only pendrives can be used simultaneously in all three 3.0 USB ports (I think depends on your laptop).

I like the 3 ports but sadly the MacBook Air does not receive any signal from the ethernet cable. Perhaps the distance between the USB end to the ethernet end is too far. I ended up buying the apple ethernet to USB adapter and that works perfectly.
