Book came in great condition and has a lot of various prompts. I love how it asks questions from early childhood through adulthood, so the reader can learn so much about whom wrote in the book.

Everyone that I gave this to (ordered multiple versions as well as coming from split families) absolutely loved it - but this version specifically all came with lines on the front cover as if from an issue with the toner from the printer used. The other version (grandma’s) did not come with this, and had the image included them I wouldn’t have thought it was a print error at all.

This was a Christmas gift for my mother. She absolutely loved it! She keeps it by "her chair" and fills it out here and there. I love hearing about her childhood and other things about my family. It asks alot of great questions. It's something that'll be kept forever in my family. To be able to have some of Mom's memories written in a book by her...that will be cherished forever.

I got this for my mom for Christmas last year. (Got the dad version too.) There are a lot of pretty simple, straightforward questions, but also some very insightful questions with lots of room to write. Both my parents loved them. I highly recommend.

This book if great to share with your family. It tells your story when you are no longer here. They have books for children, husbands, fathers etc.

Love that me and my kid will be able to read about her life

The basic idea is good but for me, it didn't make any sense as it is not a guided journal for the past generation it's more a book where I write my story down more or less in solitude... which defeats the purpose in my opinion. Despite that, you can see plenty 'empty' pages to fill the book. Lastly, I bought the paperback and the pages are too fine so that you can see your writing partly on the next page and the whole book feels very flimsy. Nothing you pass down for generations... it's like a workbook, use it and dispose it.

This journal has great prompts and makes for some interesting thoughts, but, it’s a soft cover book which has already curled corners. The intention is to leave it for future generations so it’s not going to be hard wearing. I will have to cover mine with clear sticky plastic to preserve it and as a result, feels like it’s lost its value. I wish it came in a hardcover. I would have been happy to pay more.

This is the perfect book to fill out for your kids and leave them. I’d like to start filling it out secretly, give it to a family member for her when I pass! Or read it together! Lots of room for memories! Laughs!
