Love the glass chair mat! So far it us sturdy, chair glides as if on ice. Just be careful not to glide off the edges. Has not happened to me yet, but I could see where that might put undue street if a wheel rested right at the edge for a long time, with lots of weight.

Okay, I might be a little biased here, so bear with me. First off, this glass chair mat was AWESOME! It looked beautiful and quickly became my favorite thing in my office. However, within two months, it shattered when I somehow managed to flex it. While that’s expected with tempered glass, I didn’t feel like I flexed it much, but apparently, it was enough. Cleaning it up took about 30 minutes with a flat shovel. The mat was shipped well and packaged beautifully. It was crystal clear, and even though my Secretlabs chair’s skateboard wheels left marks on it, I didn’t mind. I’ve since switched to a plastic mat that suits my needs better. This mat might be more appropriate for use on low-pile carpet rather than medium to high-pile carpet. So, to be fair, it’s a great product—looks nice and is well-priced. Would I buy it again? Probably not. There are other products out there that fit the need without the risk and are just as competitively priced.

I have two and they have been great so far. One I bought in Jan 2025 and another I bought in Feb or March of 2025. Just a few moments ago I knocked a Mac charger off my desk onto it and it made a loud noise, but nothing broke, but it kind of sounded like shattered glass., so it is very durable. The one I am using was our older ones that I stole from my 18 yo. Hopefully this lasts longer than the plastic ones or the home made ones I tried with adhesive tiles on wood. This thing also seems really light, especially lighter than my homemade one.

This item is saving my hardwood floors from destruction. I tried plastic floor mats, and they become garbage in no time at all. This mat has stayed clear and beautiful over the last 6 months. Great buy. Will buy again if needed for another office desk.

This glass round chair mat was perfect for my at-home work station. With my home's medium/long pile carpet all the other chair mats were ineffective. This one finally did the trick and loved the fact it came in a circle. So far it has been working great. Only issue I have is that it does have a tendency to slide a few inches over time. The bottom is smooth so slides on carpet fairly easy even despite the weight. I wish the underside had something on it (teeth, textured surface, sticky tape, etc) to prevent it from sliding. Also the the glass mat has a flat square edge. Wish it had a beveled edge, possibly tapered so items could roller over it easier. Also feel like with a beveled edge less like to stub your toe.
