This was the first book that I purchased of these series of books and I absolutely love them. I read them to my husband at times and we discuss the facts. Other times he reads on his own or we will read together and discuss the findings. Its like a fun trivia game. These books are large and hold a lot of infformation. They are well written and are very fancy, books like you would find in a private library. They remind me of the old Readers Digest Books when they first came out, just a whole lot bigger. I will continue to read these and when I am done I plan on continuing on with buying any others that I can find. They are well worrth the small amount you pay for all the information you gleen from these books and with how beautiful they are.

The book shipped quickly, arrived without any damage and is an amazing buy for only ten dollars. I am sure the content is interesting (I didn’t read any of it since I was not keeping it) and would be good for personal use, but I did purchase this as a gift. I didn’t read the dimensions before hand (my fault) and I thought it might be larger, possibly something one might place on coffee table. It is rather generic in size and color, unimpressive to look at, not something that looked engaging enough to pick up and check out. Yes, I know, I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and I might have really missed out on something wonderful. I will keep it in mind for the future, but for now it’s a no go.

I got it for three dollars cheaper on Amazon because of a coupon. While I haven’t read the whole book, I’ve read bits and pieces. What I really enjoy about the book is that it covers a widespread of knowledge (everyone will find something they like) and it’s in small portions. I like the small digestible amount because I can pick it up and read for a little while and then do something else, since it does not require tons of time to read one section.

Got this as a fun holiday gift for a growing pre-teen who is just hungry to learn interesting things. Yes, we have the internet now, but a book is always great to hold and read. It's fun!
