This is very in-depth and has brought clarity to verses you read or have heard several times. I love the context it provides & examples suggested. This commentary has made Bible study fruitful and exciting. Highly recommend.

I have both the kindle and hardcover versions of the Tony Evans Bible Commentary. The commentary is detailed and easy to read and understand. This is a great companion to your Bible study routine to help break down scripture into bite size chunks. I just finished the Book of Job and it was very helpful to understand how suffering fits into God's kingdom and what God expects from us in the midst of suffering. I also have and recommend the Tony Evans Study Bible. I have the Kindle and hardcover versions of it as well.

I LOVE this commentary! I started reading through the Bible and when there are things I don’t understand or want an explanation on, Dr. Evans’ insight is outstanding. He increases my understanding and also shares nuggets or things that I was unaware of. There are also QR codes at the beginning of each chapter that provide an overview of the book. Dr. Evans did an excellent job with this commentary. It is helping me tremendously!

If you are looking for a Holy Spirit inspired commentary on the entire bible, easy to understand, yet deep, and relevant to today, this is it. Would be great for a new Christian or even one who is well learned (I've gone to bible school and I learned a lot from his commentary.) Tony Evans is the pastor of a huge church in Oak Cliff Texas, look him up on line. If he were local, that would be my new church! I have read other translations, commentaries that seem to either talk over your head or water things down. That is not at all what he does, he make it come alive and relevant to your own life. I liked it so much I bought another one for my adult son and will likely buy a few more for other family members.

I was really happy to see that Dr. Evans had a Bible Commentary out and snatched it up. I also have recently obtained his Study Bible. I have been a long time listener of his preaching/teaching sermons and still listen to them daily. This review is more about Dr. Evans than this commentary, as I am just now getting into it. Dr. Evans, in my opinion, is one of the very best, if not THE best preachers we have in these times. His analogies and examples while presenting a sermon really helps you to understand the Word of God and what it means for all. I would encourage anyone to listen to him and to learn more about The Kingdom Purpose that God has for us until we reach heaven. Blessings to all.

This is everything you need if you are in a learning journey with the Bible. It breaks the Bible down in lamest terms. Very easy to read and understand what you have read.

This commentary is written in a way that is extremely easy to understand while at the same time delivering deep insights into the bible. An absolute must-have. I am ordering further copies for friends and family

At a first glance I was a bit overwhelmed of how thick it was. Was planning to use in conjunction for my daily bible reading. And true enough, it didn’t disappoint me. Bible reading has even been more enlightening! Definite to recommend!
