I read this book because I liked the first one so much. I would say that this one was just as delightful. I was nervous because this one involves humans but the good natured kid characters continue Roz's saga. Similar to the first book, the author writes in a way that makes everything believable within a futuristic world. Characters are compassionate and well written. The adventure of escaping is a page turner.

My 10 year old read this book and immediately begged me to order the next one!

I was a little skeptical at first, but I just had to read this book and I AM HOOKED!!! I already read the third book after I read this one, and I can safely say that all three stories deserve bestselling rewards. Peter truly does have a way with how to write a story. I like how after a few long chapters there’s a few short ones too, giving me a little bit of relief that although there are many chapters, most are very short and I’m ok with that. 10/10 would recommend greatly!!

I am so not good at Reading reviews, but I will say I thoroughly enjoyed book one and was curious as to how booked two would do. I was upset when Roz had to leave the island at the end of book one and I wanted to not like book 2 at first. But I was quickly drawn in to the family she was with and how quickly she learned to do her job on the farm, all the while figuring out a way to escape. I’m looking forward to starting book 3.

My kids are enjoying this series! They started this as a summer read, and kept going.

A book really needs to get my son's attention, otherwise it will be a struggle to make him read. He really enjoyed the first and second book, he was happy to see the increase on his words count on AR, and while reading a book he liked. He asked me to take him to the movies to watch it, he was so excited! 😊 My son is on the Autism spectrum so he really doesn't like to go to the movies, he was glued to the screen because he enjoyed the 1st book so much. He said he can't wait for the second movie one to come out as he loved the second book as well. Definitely recommend it.

This series is perfect for my son who is 9. The chapters are very short so it’s easy enough to read 2 or 3 of them when he gets home from school daily. Not to mention the storyline is amazing and keeps his interest.

3rd day since we purchased this second edition of this series and we already half way through the book. My son is 6 and english is not his native language, but he absolutely loves it and understands everything. I'm ordering 3rd book now -- a daddy has to do what daddy has to do.
