Honestly, I am pretty happy with these. I have returned them due to a space issue on my desk, and have very little to complain about. First, the good parts. Construction feels great, customization is nice, the sheer volume of inputs available on these is something that will be sorely missed. With the variety of buttons, switches, and dials you can usually find something that feels appropriate or immersive to bind your controls to. Unless I was on foot in a game, I rarely found a need to take my hands off the controls. My only complaints would be: 1. I consider myself someone with fairly large hands, but I still found it a stretch to reach some of the controls on the top. Reaching for the further hats felt like I had to shift my hands to get my thumb to them. 2. The resistance on movement felt quite strong at first. Perhaps it's a difference that I need time to get used to but I would have liked to swap the springs to something a little lighter so I can get a wider range of movement close to center. If it was possible to swap components out the manual did not mention it, and no springs were provided. Normally I would pop it open and check myself but I knew I was returning them and wanted to keep them in the best condition I could. 3. The movement on these, perhaps due to the strong springs, is very odd. Releasing the sticks doesn't return to zero immediately. Instead they oscillate past center quite a few times before coming to rest. Even with these points in mind, I would wholly recommend this set for someone looking to upgrade out of a budget stick set. I am sad to see them go back and with some adjustment could likely have made them work well.

Top quality sticks but as you've probably seen from other reviews, VKB's are the better option. That said, these are the best sticks I've tried outside of VKB's. Be warned though, trying to configure these for Star Citizen is an absolute nightmare currently. Not sure what the heck is going on after following videos and tutorials, cannot for the life of me get it to load up without needing major changes to the mappings. Horrible time for the novice, inexperienced flight stick user like myself. Thrustmaster, collab with Cloud Imperium Games and get that sorted as I know many are looking at these for this game and currently it is an absolute train wreck of a setup. Unrelated to that, another reviewer mentioned it did not include USB's.... It in-fact does so just FYI for everyone, search the box thoroughly!

Got this today, so exciting. need to get some usb cables before i can properly test though. Pros: - amazon box looked fine - easy setup - great weight and added legs to help with tipping. - Doesn't feel like cheap plastic, everything is solid - buttons feel amazing - already pre-set for lh/rh with parts to convert each to the other way - spring response is awesome - box contents are very organized and packet perfectly Cons: - Did not come with any usb cables - box was smashed on a corner - outside mfg box was missing pieces, torn

As a Vine Voice, I recently had the opportunity to try out the Thrustmaster Sol-R2 HOSAS system, and let me tell you, it's been a real game changer. After spending some time with it, I'm ready to share my initial impressions and personal opinion. The first thing that struck me was the sheer number of inputs available. With two detachable ambidextrous grips and two bases, each featuring a central throttle, you're looking at a whopping 88 action buttons. Add to that the two triggers, two hat switches, a ministick, and a thumbwheel, and you've got an incredible amount of control at your fingertips. This makes the Sol-R2 ideally suited for complex space flight simulations where precision and accessibility are paramount. The difference the Sol-R2 has made to my gameplay is significant. Having dedicated controls for strafing, rotating, and managing ship systems has freed me from relying on keyboard shortcuts, allowing for a much more immersive and intuitive experience. I also really appreciate the attention to detail in the design. The ICONIC DESIGN is visually appealing, and the joystick's backlit features add a nice touch of flair, especially during late-night gaming sessions. Overall, my first impression of the Thrustmaster Sol-R2 HOSAS is overwhelmingly positive. The sheer number of inputs, combined with the comfortable design and noticeable improvement in gameplay, makes it a standout product. While I haven't had enough time to fully explore its long-term durability, early signs point to a well-built and robust system. Considering the price point, I genuinely believe the Thrustmaster Sol-R2 HOSAS is a worthwhile investment for any PC gamer serious about space flight or other simulation genres. It's a significant upgrade that provides enhanced control, immersion, and overall enjoyment. Highly recommended!

I've been using these for a little over a week now in Star Citizen. They have been great so far. It is almost overwhelming the amount of usable buttons. The sticks feel a lot more solid than the older T16000Ms, and with the hall effect sensors for X Y and Z axes, hopefully no more stick drift like the T16000Ms. I can't say how they stack up against other sticks on the market since I've only used the T16000Ms, but I'm enjoying them. On YouTube, TheNOOBIFIER1337 has a great in depth review.

they feel great but they have issue.. It keep changing # in SC on the Right Joystick so i have to redo my binding between every session or lshift is added so i still have to redo my binding. i dont know what is causing that and its quite frustrating to the point that im thinking about returning them and keep rolling my t16000...

I ordered these as an upgrade to my Thrust master T16000 joysticks. After an hour of use the right stick developed a really bad dr8ft on the z axis. To the point it is completely unusable. This has been an issue with thrust master sticks for years. And the reason I upgraded to these was because they allegedly fixed that issue. Obviously they did not. I'm gonna do what I should've done to begin with and spend the money on a quality set if VKBS
