This is my second purchase of the Tovolo Microwave Splatter Cover as this is better than others that I have tried over the years. It is made from durable, BPA-free plastic and does great to keep your microwave clean by containing food splatters. Its vented design allows steam to escape is large enough to fit most plates and opens high enough to fit bowls, collapses down making it easy to store. We have also taken it out on picnics to use as a shield to keep flys off of our food. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I really didn’t expect anything special from this product. I mean, it’s a microwave cover, right? I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and functionality of it. It is solidly built and I like the way it telescopes, because it can be adjusted to fit over different dishes. Not that there is much to say about one of these, but this is probably the best one I have ever had.

I have been using microwaves covers for years, but the Tovolo Microwave Cover it next level -since its microwave safe. I’m so glad I picked it up! You just pop it over whatever you want to heat up and viola no mess. This one has a great height as well, so its been able to cover everything I want to put into the microwave. It fits most plates and bowls, and the silicone material feels durable but flexible. I am not worried at all about microplastics getting into my food. What I really like is that it has small vent holes, so the steam escapes and prevents anything from getting soggy, but it still keeps the mess contained. It’s also easy to clean—just toss it in the dishwasher, and it’s good as new. No more scrubbing away dried-on food splatters! Highly recommend it!

I previously owned a medium sized Tovolo splatter cover. The medium cover covers the food on the plate but sits on the edge of the plate. I thought I'd try the larger diameter, but I feel it's too large. Every plate I've tried, the large size covers completely and sits on the microwave turn table. The downsides are that it's so big it's difficult to get out of the microwave when covered in steam. Additionally, it's very big and difficult to fit in the dishwasher when expanded. Otherwise, the product functions as expected and advertised. Tovolo silicone doesn't smell even after the first use, unlike competitors. I've subsequently bought another medium sized cover.
