This album sounds so good that I purchased 2 copies (one for me and one for my sister). The rock elements play well on a decent record/vinyl/LP setup

Today Judith and I spun No Doubt’s Tragic Kingdom. The date was Friday April 5, 1996 in Knoxville, Tenn. One of my friends had tickets to see Bush, Goo Goo Dolls (before name became huge they were really good) and an unknown to the south, No Doubt. I remember buying this CD months before the concert so I would be familiar with the songs. When the day finally arrived to go see them I drove from Chattanooga to my friends house off of exit 374 in Karns. My friend was never one to joke too much and when he did it was really dry. Well, we stopped at a fast-food restaurant and as we were finishing up he looked at all three of us and said “Oh crap, I forgot the tickets.” Now we were about 45 minutes away from his house and 30 minutes from show time. We were all pissed at him and then he started to crack up for he had the tickets in his front pocket. The show was cool. The show was at where the Ice Bears play. I remember talking to a girl who, she said was the owner’s daughter, and she snuck us onto the floor where I first ever crowd surfed and slammed danced in a huge mash pit. Yep, no chairs in the front back then. This was the tour that Gavin and Gwen got together. I bought a No Doubt shirt. I think I wore it maybe two times because the thing was so rough.

I've always loved this album. When this came out, I was into grungy, dark sounding music. I still love dismal dark music, but sometimes you need a break from that vibe. This is a very happy sounding record with incredible musicianship! The rhythm section of Adrian Young and Tony Kanal have never been given the credit they deserve. Tom DuMont's guitar work is awesome. His style is so different than the other members of the band, it makes for a great polarity. While the rhythm section is more ska and reggae based, Tom has a classic rock sound reminiscent of Alex Lifeson and Jimmy Page, however he is versatile enough to pull off most anything. He is one of the better guitar players of the last twenty years of rock and pop music. I don't need to speak of Gwen. Her many positive singing, style, and gorgeousness traits are well documented! If you don't have this record, buy it and listen to a mid nineties classic!

I used to hear the two radio cuts (Spider Webs and Don't Speak) and liked them both so I bought this album and it's a knock out. One of the few albums you can listen to start to finish in this modern world. There's an inside cut called "Hey You" that I'm surprised no DJ picked up on. It's an anthem for little girls who have grown up ("You're just like my Ken and Barbie Doll") and of course there is the ultimate GIRL anthem (aptly titled "Girl") "I'm Just A Girl...but they won't let me drive late at night!" This is her and her band at their best. She remarked that their producer didn't understand SKA, but my remark is: He understands how to make radio hits! Excellent album. A classic. It's their Sgt.Pepper.

I didn't know Gwen Stefani had such a rocking voice! I only knew her by the classic pop-rock ballad "Don't Speak". And later by the more electro-funk album, "Rock Steady". Well, in songs such as "Excuse Me Mr.", or "Just A Girl", she intensifies her voice, and distorts it (but not too heavily), like a total punk singer! The best thing is that, the band, managed to write powerful hooks and harmonic rythms for the songs. So, the album ends up being quite melodic but with a fast and cool rocking edge. And there is "Don't Speak", the great and classic power-ballad with a melancholic vibe, and a refrain which is a total anthem. But the album has more to offer: Spiderwebs, Excuse Me Mr, Just A Girl, Happy Now?, etc. Many great songs! The sound is very good. It is loud, but not harsh at all. The drums rock hard. The artwork from the CD is very cool. I think it is the same original Trauma CD from 1995. I like the imagery and the photos.

This is the one essential album from No Doubt if you only want to buy one for your collection, for those times where you feel like being nostalgic with a whole lot of songs you loved back in the 90's/early 00's. It's full of their radio hits, falling post-ska and before Gwen Stefani became a bit of a cartoon of herself. It still rocks, with a strong female voice (in sound and content). The vinyl reissue is just like the original, so I'm happy to have been able to get a version in this format. It was never mastered for vinyl originally, so you won't get that pleasure of hearing things you never heard due to compression in other formats- but you'll get the pleasure of hearing this album again. It really takes you back in time :)

Yeah, good band - great album even though you are probably just buying it to hear Don't Speak on repeat, which is more difficulty to doo with a record than an MP3. Pretty good album and great seller

Esse álbum do ND é incrível, porém o LP veio aberto, com o plástico violado inteiro do lado, como se já fosse usado. Pelo menos o disco estava intacto. Porém se compro aqui, quero produto novo e não já manuseado de segunda mão.

The vinyl sounds awesome, the album is so great! The shipping was really fast... my only "nut" would be the quality of printing of the sleeve, but you know, it gives it a vintage vibe matching the vintage album, so that's more than ok to me. Totally recommended!
