This is a great little smart lock. My only issue with it was with the installation, as for whatever reason if the bolt does not go all the way you get a doorlock jammed error, and the remote functions of the door are halted until it gets "unjammed". Basically you need to make sure your the hole in the door frame has at least 1" depth or you will keep getting the door jammed error message and will be only able to open the door locally. Not only that but while the door is the jammed state you keep getting an annoying beep that will make you fix the thing really fast. With the bad stated, all other functions are really nice. You can add users remotely and provide them access with a code or through the app, which is very neat. Those users can be main users or temporary ones. The main users will have access 24/7, while with the temporary ones you can assign particular times at which they are allowed to open the door. Very nice. The title of this review makes a reference to the Schlage smart doorlock because I bought one of those a few years ago, and while it served me well, it doesn't come close to the features of this unit. For once, you cannot add users remotely. Actually, there are actually no users in my version of that doorlock. You simply provide codes and cannot eliminate access to those codes as you wish, which leaves that smart doorlock with way fewer use cases than this UltraLock. Connecting to the wifi dongle was fast and I made sure to create a Wifi network with 2.4Ghz only. I was once a network engineer (I actually wrote that I am a network engineer and went back and used the past tense because it's been a while since I was in that profession) but I am quite sure mostly any apt technology user will be able to install it. The physical installation is as easy as any other traditional, non-smart door lock. If you can manage to install a doorlock you will be able to install this one because it is the same. As for usability and functionality, The users haven’t had any complaints. My mother and sister bought units for them because they liked this so much. Some reviewers have mentioned issues with the fingerprint reader. Often I have to put my finger twice before it recognizes it. Nothing more. For me, it works perfectly as moving the finger a bit is nothing to me, because the doorlock lets you know immediately that it failed to recognize the fingerprint and you immediately are allowed to put the finger again for a second read that almost always final. Before I was able to setup my fingerprints at my mother's house I used the app to open the door and it was also a breeze. Work perfectly, no problems at all. The firgerprint is faster and more convenient obviously and will be the preferred option for those users with unrestricted access to the house. You can also set passcodes to users and there is a neat functionality that adds security and it is that you can type phantom numbers in the code and the doorlock picks the correct numbers and authorizes access. When I say phantom numbers is that if for instance your access code is 12345, you can type xxx12345yyy (with xxx and yyy being any 0 to 9 digits) and the doorlock will recognize the proper access code and will open. This is useful and a very good security practice as peakers and potential intruders will have a harder time figuring out your passcode, as would those potential intruders trying to figure out your codes based on the wear of the buttons (the most used numbers are likely to show more wear than those not used). What else? I think this it. As you can see, the product is not perfect but it is close, and it doesn’t warrant to deduct a star because it is way better than a 4 out of 5 stars product. If I could give the product a 4.8 stars rating, a solid 95. Highest recommendation as you will be able to let people in to your house from anywhere, and will also be able to stop allowing them to come in. This is golden to those with homes or apartments being rented for short term stays and those living alone who need to grant access to personnel for whatever reason. Only being able to add users and give them specific times to get in is just way too cool of a feature. Great job.

I purchased the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi to replace another model, ULTRALOQ Smart Door Lock, that I purchased in 2021. The ULTRALOQ Smart would not consistently “Auto Unlock” upon my return home. Many other reviewers reported the same issue after a software update. I was unable to reinstall/restart/redo set up etc in order for that feature to work. All of the other features of the ULTRALOQ Smart work as expected. I have reinstalled the ULTRALOQ Smart on a different door for continued use for code entry, auto lock, and remote functions etc. The install and set-up of the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi was simple as per the instructions. As I read numerous reviews, it seems that many issues with the functionality of the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi could be related to improper alignment of the lock/bolt & door jam, improper fingerprint storage, and attempts to use a 5g WiFi network (requires a 2.4g network as do many cameras and smart home devices). So far, the fingerprint reader has worked 100% to unlock the door. I stored two of my prints, and was careful to place my finger (clean and dry) at different angles as per the instructions to ensure that a large area of my fingerprint was stored. I tested and retested the use of my fingerprint (wet, dry, dirty) and did not experience any problems with the fingerprint unlock function. The Auto Unlock feature was my primary reason for purchase of this lock. It has worked each and every time. I do like the “green light ring” that indicates that the door is unlocked as I approach the door. The Auto Unlock feature must be enabled with the U Home app, requires 2.4g WiFi, and “always on” location services for the U Home app within your cell phone operating system settings. Another feature that I like is Auto Lock - I have set this lock to Auto Lock after 15 minutes on a door used most often for ‘in and out” activities to unload groceries, get the mail etc. The Auto Lock Timing for this lock can be set to Auto Lock after 10seconds to 30minutes within the U Home app. The timing range is expanded for this model (the range for the older locks is 10seconds to 5minutes). I have been pleased with U Home/ULTRALOQ for many years. I find the products reliable and easy to use. I’ll add an update if I experience any problems with the U-BOLT PRO with built in WiFi.

This is a pretty good smart lock. You can set it to lock the door when you leave automatically. It can also unlock the lock for you when it detects you have arrived home. This feature seems to work well for my wife but spotty for me. We also setup finger print and lock code access. That also all works pretty well. The issue we we have had was with the door lock sensor. After about two weeks this stopped working. I attempted to fix it a few times but did not get very far with it. I then figured out a week or two later it was a battery issue as the whole unit died. Once the batteries were replaced that worked again. Issue is it only had batteries in it for 3 or 4 weeks at max since install. It also has some good customization options. Installation was pretty easy, although I found it needed to be very careful when installing each screw as it did affect the locks ability to close. I had to get in there with a chisel and clear some material out to make sure the bolt closed freely. If yours has issue closing check with the door open to ensure it is not a fitment issue between the door/lock/frame. I did reach out to customer support with some of these problems and I found them very responsive and helpful.

Received the lock very quickly in Singapore. Installation took only about 20 minutes including taking out the old deadbolt. Set up with the app was also good. Had some minor issue woth app which was very resolved with the prompt help from Support services from the makers Ultraloq. Now have been using this for one week and so far so good. Overall, a very good smart lock.

I really wanted to like this lock! Delivery was on time as I had international shipping, lock looked good and materials used were impressive. Here are my problems 1) Initially I was trying to register to the app, couldn't receive the mobile phone verification OTP - contacted customer support and they helped me sort it out 2) Installed the lock, couldn't get it to setup on the app - tried all the trouble shooting 3) Master reset button wasn't working on the lock - this was a major step to allow me to connect the app to my lock 4) After spending sometime calling internationally the customer support in the US. They tried to give me different solutions to sort it out, but unfortunately nothing worked. They advised me that they could send me replacement to a US address, but since I live abroad, that was not possible. At the end, their suggestion was to return the lock on Amazon as it was defective. I ordered another lock and will install it before returning this one, seems that the company has great customer support (based on my experience and different reviews I read) but the product testing is lacking as I read several reviews of people receiving defective products.
