Emily Compagno did a beautiful job telling so many amazing stories in this faith filled book. So well written the pages fly by and you are drawn into each service members story. Unbelievable stories of bravery, heroism and fear, that were greatly impacted by their faith in God. They say there are no atheists during war, but it is also nice to see how God has met each of these members where they were and helped them in their time of prayer. Very patriotic and faith filled, all inter woven into such well told stories. A perfect book at Christmas!

Amazing study of a glimpse of faith in our military. Will be included as one of the best illustrations of why our military men and women are owed an honor and care because they sacrificed, sometimes all, for us to live in freedom. The importance revealed in Emily's book shows bravery beyond an average American citizen has ever experienced, making their efforts a supreme calling to arms, God loves us. Having 2 uncles in each theater in WWII and one grand uncle who came back a thread of a man, I understand, admire and honor those who gave any or all in defense of our God given and righteous calling to be the policeman of the world. Emily is sure to be as honored for this book as the soldiers premiered in it, I expect more to come from her brilliant narratives carefully threaded between heroes for God. Many tears for the families affected, these stories will touch your heart. And divine persistence to those soldiers who are suffering in any way due to horrors of war, Thank You and God Bless.

The stories of brave heroes both men and women detailed in this chronological account of war time bravery was excellent ,riveting and brings hope to all those who served during terrible times. The horrific injuries and the courage of the soldiers and their loved ones was an amazing account of such difficult times. Well done Emily Compagno.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book with stories from so many who went through terrible times. You can see how strong their faith and total belief in God is.

This is a beautiful book that I will be giving to our active duty service member for Christmas. It is well-written and is very moving.

I purchased this book for my son who is currently serving in the Navy. I couldn’t resist so I read it first. I am honestly blown away by all of the stories/testimonials. The book is well written which makes it an easy read. Although all of the stories are based on faith in God in the face of war, faith and God was and continues to be at the center of every hero’s life after their service.
