Works just like my old Barracuda that I had for years but got a crack in it. This one was half the price. So far so good. Only one thing the attachment for my hose at the pool is smaller than the one provided with this

Faster than a Haywood, large cleaning swath and it doesn't choke on debris. You can't beat the price either, mine is operating very well on a 1 HP pump on a 35 X 20 inground pool. It will connect to your Haywood hoses if you use the proper end hose in the kit. When it stops your filter is clogged, just clean and go.

Click to play video We just got this item on Oct. 20, 2022. It replaced my third or fourth Zodiac Baracuda G3, which is the model of cleaner I've used exclusively since our pool was constructed Jan. 2004. This VINGLI is slightly more than 1/3 of the price of a replacement Baracuda. Replacement for the currently defective Zodiac part actually cost more than the entire VINGLI cleaner system. The VINGLI box contained a number of items, including eight normal male/female hose segments that were noticeably shorter than the ones I had in place. I left these in the box. I attached the cleaner to the Baracuda's existing hoses. It worked well, as energetic as the G3 was on its best day. It did not work, however, when I turned on the solar heater. Within a couple days, it wasn't even working with the solar heater turned off. It would begin to work, whenever I turned the filter on, and then stop within a minute. I replaced the old hoses with the shorter hose segments that came with the cleaner. They are the same diameter as the original ones, but, for some reason, the cleaner now appears to work normally, with all 8 of these standard VINGLI hose segments attached, and it exhibits that original liveliness. I'll have to wait a few days to see if It is actually cleaning. It still DOES NOT work whenever the solar heater is in use. The solar heater is a valuable component in our pool system; it maintains our water temperature for months, and makes burning the gas heater only necessary for half a dozen times each season [spa use notwithstanding]. Using the solar heater increases the indicated pressure in the system by about 10 pounds, which might have some affect on the cleaner, but I don't know why. For now, the only solution will be to run the cleaner without the heater, and let it idle during hours of heating. This, however, will increase the total time that the filter is in use, and, consequently add to the cost of my electric bill and take hours off the lifetime of the filter pump. Without any other solution, I will be forced to accept this less than inadequate one. Never in the past, has the use of the solar heater had any affect on the operation of the Zodiac Barracuda G3 pool cleaner. I can't figure out why it should affect this cleaner. ***UPDATE 11/04/2022: I have been in touch with the manufacturer, through Amazon. VINGLI were anxious to resolve my issue, and I already received a replacement days ago. The replacement was obviously a used item, probably returned by a previous customer, and shows some defects. The collar that holds the foot is deformed, and the foot will not seat properly. The ring/wheel that snaps on to the cleaner is bent, it is not a flat circle like the original. Today, I tried running it, and it won't work at all. The original one still works fine with the solar turned off, so I guess I have no choice but to continue using it. My intent in contacting the manufacturer was to get technical advice about the solar heater issue so that it could be resolved, but their feeble response was to send one of their defective returned items to me. There is every possibility that I can make some kind of adjustment in my equipment to correct the problem, and I will continue to explore that possibility - just not with the assistance of VINGLI. At least, as of November 6, it appears to actually be cleaning my pool effectively! ****11/9/22 Update: My pool man was here today. He made an adjustment to one of the automated valves, and the cleaner worked with the solar heater running. But our test was only for a few minutes while the pool guy was here, and he readjusted the valve to its previous setting until next year's swimming season. Until then, I won't know if it will work for the hours per day that the heater needs to run during the 4+ months the pool is in use. For now, I'll increase my rating to 4 out of 5 stars. *****12/26/22 Update: The cleaner runs for a short time when I turn on the filter, and then it quits. However, it is set to run for a few hours overnight, during periods of near-freezing temperatures. In the morning, when I check it, the VINGLI is usually not running with the filter on. But, the pool is clean, indicating that it ran well enough during the hours of darkness get the job done.

I have used a Zodiac T5 Duo for 10 years and decided to try this Vingli at $ 90.00 vs $ 299 Zodiac. If you are satisfied with your current cleaner but are looking to save money but could still afford your current cleaner my recommendation would be to stick with the one you have that you know works for your system. See below for the reasons: 1 .The hoses are smaller in diameter and are hard to push together vs the easier twist lock system. 2. I have three diverter valves that I can use to direct water to the cleaner or the pool .With the Vingli cleaner I had to divert significantly more water than the Zodiac to the cleaner used away from my other pool outlets so that it would keep working and not stall out. 3. Since I have the three diverter valves to set the amount of water to the cleaner I don't need the regulator that comes with it that plugs into the hose and then the pool piping. But there is no way to hook it up without using the regulator and it leaks water requiring me to divert more water to the cleaner. 4. The skimmer part that touch's the pool on the pool on the bottom is a hard plastic. The Zodiac has rubber pads on it and I wonder about wear on my pool surface. Other than the above items it does work and so far, does a good job after I figured the water issue out to keep it from stalling. I've had it for two months I sent Vingli an email with my phone number included about it stalling out without a lot of water and if there was a way to directly hook it up with out the regulator ( I couldn't find a solution at the hardware store in plumbing) and they sent me back a generic email of items I could check for that I had already checked ( they don't have a phone number ). I'm going to use it until it wears out for now. Good luck whatever you decide .

The vacuum started working immediately and cleaned out the debris on the bottom of the pool. I am pleased with it especially after getting a quote of over $500.00 from my local pool supply store to get a new one!

I have been using a Kreepy Krawler in my pool for almost 30yrs. I replaced the Original Kreepy about 3 years ago with a Kreepy Kruiser. Had the body on the kruiser break under warranty, and about a year after that it broke again. It never really circulated around the pool with some help to move it to spots that needed cleaning. I kept it going for as long as I could with zip ties to keep it together, and decided on the Vingli after reading the reviews and seeing it had a decent Fakespot rating. I have it plugged into the side of the pool just like the Kreepys had been (not in the skimmer basket). While I have only had it about 2weeks, I can say that is it working really good and after a bad storm the other night- which turned the pool brown to where you could not see the bottom)- it managed to get all the dirt off the bottom. We did have to make sure large twigs and pieces of bark were picked up before we hooked it back up, but I was very impressed. Hopefully it will last a reasonable amount of time (1-2years) before any major part needs replacing. I highly recommend it.

Boyau un peu court pour ma piscine creusée de 16' X 32' mais comme j'avais 2 autres longueurs de boyau, ça fait très bien l'affaire, surtout a ce prix là.

This pool vacuum covers entire pool quickly and goes in corners and walls. Doesn’t get stuck on drain. Only ick, not enough lengths to cover entire pool. Luckily I had tubes from my old vacuum that fit so I added five lengths.
