I love this sit/stand frame! I wanted something with four legs that fit my limited office space and this works perfectly. The four leg design really adds to the stability vs. the 2 middle legs designs I looked at. At all range of heights from lowest to fully raised this setup is sturdy. (To be certain, because I can't tolerate a shaky desk, I also purchaced the Vivo Universal Steel Clamp on bar. It works perfectly with this desk, adds total side-to-side stability -the desk simply does not move- and also provided me a place to strap some other under-desk gear. ) The motors are relatively quiet and the table raises and lowers at a reasonable speed. Some minor issues I ran into: I used this with a tabletop that's 59" x 24" because of space limits. In use, the 24" width of the tabletop doesn't overhang the desk far enough to allow *any* clamp on items. Other types of sit/stand frames have the support structure in the middle- this has the structure at the outer limits of a 24" desk span. I knew this going in, and have items like my monitor arm mounted via holes through the desktop, or just desk stand items like my lamp and microphone. Another issue this causes that may be the deal breaker for many with a smaller width desk: this left NO WAY to mount the height controller in a normal way. I solved this for myself by drilling holes for the controller into the underside of the metal frame.I would not blame most for not wanting to do that, but for me it was a non-issue. The controller itself is nice- expected up down controls and 3 presets- all work flawlessly and the initial setup was surprisingly simple. |A mod I did: I found the front of the desk a little "unfinished" looking as you can see the metal support structure. (You can see it in the product images). Probably no big deal if you have a proper desk overhang in the front. It doesn't look bad left as-is, but I wanted to cover it. I simply attached a 57" strip of white finger-joint just under the slight edge of tabletop overhanging in the front, and now the desk looks absolutely perfect! | It has no problem lifting my heavy 27" 4K monitor, Mac Mini, small PC and various hardware strapped neatly under the desk! I don't know how it is for larger desktops, but the adjustability of the frame to fit a space with perfect accuracy is welcomed, and for my 59 x 24" desk setup: rock stable!

I purchased the VIVO 4-Leg Dual Motor Electric Stand Up Desk Frame (White, DESK-E4W) to create a sturdy, adjustable desk setup for my workspace. Here’s a breakdown of my experience and customization: Assembly Process and Tabletop Setup For the tabletop, I used a 74" x 25 5/8" countertop with a white marble laminate finish, sourced from a popular Swedish furniture store. This single-piece, 1 1/8" thick countertop offered a nice aesthetic and durability. The VIVO frame’s fixed 22.8" depth meant there was a 1-5/8" margin on each side, while the adjustable length was set to 60", leaving a 7" overhang on both ends. To secure the frame to the countertop, I used 20x pieces each of the following hardware: - M5 x 20mm Flanged Button Head Socket Cap Screws - M5 x 14mm Interface Hex Socket Threaded Insert Nuts - M5x10mm Belleville Spring Disc Washers - M5 Steel Zinc Finish External Serrated Lock Washers Installation Details I marked and drilled 20x holes on the underside of the countertop using a 23/64" bit, ensuring each was 5/8" deep. After prepping each hole with a ball of epoxy putty, I inserted M5x14mm threaded inserts using an electric drill (M6 hex bit) on a low setting, being careful not to overtighten. The VIVO frame was then attached using M5x20mm flanged button head cap screws also with an electric drill (M4 hex bit), with both a Belleville spring disc washer (knurled side against the cap screw) and an external tooth star lock washer for added stability. This extra security was essential for me, given that I’ll be using vibrating desktop 3D printers and CNC machines on this desk. The assembly process is straightforward but does require some heavy lifting. The VIVO frame alone weighs 55 lbs, so having help is advisable. Once everything was set up, the frame’s built-in adjustable pads at the bottom of each leg allowed for easy leveling, creating a balanced and secure workstation. Performance The dual-motor lift system is a standout feature. It provides smooth, quiet adjustments with a height range from 28.8" to 47" at a rate of 0.8” per second. The three memory presets make it convenient to switch between my preferred sitting and standing heights quickly. I also appreciated the flexible mounting options for the control panel, ultimately positioning it beneath one of the countertop’s 7-inch overhangs. Stability and Build Quality This frame supports up to 220 lbs and lives up to its promise of sturdiness. The 4-leg design provides exceptional stability, and the solid steel construction gives it a high-quality, reliable feel. Even with heavy equipment on top, the desk doesn’t wobble or shake, which is impressive for an adjustable desk. Customer Support VIVO’s customer support deserves a mention. They were quick to answer my questions regarding hardware sizing, helping me ensure I had the correct fasteners before the frame even arrived. It’s comforting to know the headquarters and support team are located in the U.S.A. and responsive. Final Thoughts The VIVO 4-Leg Dual Motor Electric Stand Up Desk Frame is an outstanding option if you’re looking for a customizable, durable, and quiet standing desk frame. Assembly requires some planning and the right hardware, but the end result is well worth it. I highly recommend this frame for anyone needing a heavy-duty adjustable desk that’s versatile and easy to use.
