Updated 9/13/21: I contacted customer support about the problems I’ve been having with the unit giving me error messages. I received a super fast response and then within a couple of days after looking into the problem customer service shipped me a new controller unit very promptly. I installed it, and no longer am getting those same error messages, and the desk is lifting smoothly and evenly. I really appreciated the great service and have updated to 5 stars because they stood behind the product and getting a replacement part was zero hassle Updated on 8/11/21 - I would still recommend this desk leg motor kit, and my main review still applies but I am downgrading my review to 3.5 stars, due to the many times I have had "errors" on the controller and had to reset this unit. Pretty much every other day the desk gets into an "uneven desktop" or "uneven leg height" situation and I have to reset the controller. My desk is clear of obstructions, and I am just using 2 presets: one for seated height and another for standing. But, the last three errors I received were E24 which the manual says means the "Motor Sensor Wire Damaged." The wires are clear of obstructions and velcroed to the frame, so if a wire is damaged it came that way - - perhaps why I have never been able to get the display to switch from cm to inches. Original Review from July 2021: Finally had a chance to assemble this weekend and it was very easy. Just followed the video and had it put together and attached to my desk top in about 30 minutes. It is working well and is strong and quiet. It lifts my 39” x 60” x 3/4” oak laminate desk top easily and quickly. I have a dual monitor arm & monitors, and pull out keyboard tray mounted and it is no problem. It did wobble a bit when extended to full height when using my keyboard - but that was max height and I wouldn’t really ever work with it that high (I am six feet tall). At a realistic working height it seems fairly stable, though I have avoided putting a full cup of coffee on it because it doesn’t feel rock solid. My only complaint is the control unit is not switching from metric to inches, and some other functions such as setting minimum height aren’t working and I have reset the controller a couple of times. I am following written instructions but haven’t had a chance to see if there is a video with updates. Will call customer service if I can’t figure it out. Memory presets are working fine, and the problem hasn’t prevented me from using it.

This stand-up desk frame is awesome and super strong. I installed it on 6 foot by 36" solid wood table I've had for years. I have a 30" monitor, two 24" monitors, a laptop, a full size desktop PC, and a wide variety of typical office worker junk ontop of it. It lifts everything up smoothly and solidly. When it is in a high position it does have a very small small wobble to it if you try to shake it. I think it is perfectly normal when extended that high. At the low bottom positions it feels rock solid. The control is very nice. Digital touch screen. It goes to sleep until touched. Once woken up, you can select from 3 different custom heights by pressing "1", "2", or "3", or you could just hit the up or down arrows to manually select a spot. It doesn't require another button push like some of the older models did. Assembling it was straight forward and all of the screw holes were properly aligned and set. I didn't encounter any stripped screws or poorly drilled holes like I read about on some other frames I was considering. My favorite feature is that this one actually goes low enough to properly lower the keyboard to a level position with my cheap office chair. So many of the other frames I looked at didn't have a low enough low position to achieve proper ergonomics for the sitting position. Standing up is nice for a change-up periodically throughout the day, but I still spend most of my day sitting at the computer.

This is a great way to build your own standing desk if you already have a desk top. I already had an Ikea Glass Top that was sitting on some metal stands but my posture was horrible and I really wanted the electric standing desk without having to buy the whole desk with a top. The black frame is more dark gray and overall this desk looks and functions incredible. Seems to handle my 32" monitor, 27" iMac, Laptop, couple books and such with ease. Goes from sitting position to standing in probably 10-20 seconds. The sitting height is just a little high but I can adjust my office chair and then it's fine so no big deal. Assembly was easy, took about 45min-1hr but probably under 30min if you had two people. Fun to assemble though. Then I used some 5lb 3M mounting tape to stick the desk controller under my desk top. I looked at a couple other companies for a frame but found others on Amazon really enjoyed this one and I fully agree and it's the best price I could find. When in standing position the desk feels pretty sturdy, I'm sure most standing desks will wobble a little at the higher end of there height range but unless you're aggressively typing, you don't notice it too much. For those on the fence and still sitting at a normal desk, I highly recommend a standing desk as it's so nice to have both with the touch of a button. When I get tired I sit, when I've been sitting for a while I just press the saved height buttons and stand. I have ordered a comfort mat for my feet as your feet will get sore just standing on carpet and very sore on hardwood so a cushion floor mat is needed.

Click to play video The desk was a birthday gift for our kid, and he is still happy over the moon. The sit-stand desks are remarkably beneficial for kids who are active and need to change their position often. It's also an excellent workplace for someone who spends workdays in front of the screens. The metal frame is well made, durable, heavy. My husband assembled it without problems The oversized top is from the liquidation corner in Ikea. We've got the frame through Amazon Warehouse deals, and the price was fantastic. Here are some benefits of using the sit-stand desk: The ability to change position boosts productivity It helps to improve mood and attain more energy Lower blood sugar levels Reduces risks of weight gain and obesity Lower risk of heart diseases Reduces back pain

Easy to install on the butcher block top I was already using as a desk from IKEA. Just removed my old legs and attached this. Instructions were easy to follow and works great. Very quiet and smooth rising and lowering. Great to have the presets on there too so you just push one button and it goes to the spot you already know is comfortable.

This is a well manufactured desk frame. It was shipped in a carefully and thoughtfully packaged box. My box had some minor rips/dents from transport, but due to the Styrofoam and packaging inside, nothing was harmed. It was very easy to put together using the included instructions, as well as the YouTube assembly video you can locate online if you search for the model name. I used my existing desk's table top, as most standing desks I could locate did not have much style or drawers included. This was an economical way to repurpose my existing desk rather than investing $1000+ on an adjustable height option with drawers. The steel has a nice finish, and all components seem heavy duty and well engineered. The touch sensitive control pad is simple to program desired sit/stand heights into the memory settings. One con on the control pad should be noted, is that I found there is no child-lock feature and no on/off power switch. I realized this once my young daughter bellied up to the desk as she usually does to ask me for something, and she started to raise the desk! The control pad connects to the control unit by RJ-45 ethernet connector, so as a work-around this is simply unplugged and you can plug this in when you want to adjust the height of the desk. I will be purchasing an ethernet on/off switch (or, an A/B selector) which will allow me to turn the control pad off with a discretely hidden switch. You will see in my included photos, the RJ-45 connector unplugged from the control unit for safety in the interim. The control unit which secures to the underside of the desk can be mounted using their instructions to the telescoping bar, although this reduces some of the clearance underneath the desk. I instead opted to screw it directly onto the bottom of my desk. I also purchased two of Vivo's cable management trays to help organize the cabling which I highly recommend (DESK-AC06-1C). If you're moving your desk up/down, you'll need to ensure your cables are well organized and secured. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. It was easy to put together on my own and it has afforded me more knee room under my desk to use my under-desk elliptical, and when I want to - stand too!

I used these legs to make a 'live edge' desk for my wife, and they exceeded both of our expectations. I, for one, was very surprised by the weight and rigidity of the legs. The assembly was fairly straightforward, and attaching the legs to the underside of the desk was easy. In operation, these legs are smooth and virtually silent. My only minor reservation is that I'd have liked the legs to go slightly lower, but the full extension is worth it!

After 1 month of use I am very happy with this purchase. The desk frame is very good quality, strong and very stable at full height. The mechanism is quiet and smooth and the electronics work well. Much better than others I have seen at 2x the price. I like the fact this desk lowers more than most other desks in the same price range as I am using it with a fairly thick table top.
