I like the style of these cages. They hold standard water bottle just fine, and they look great. I bought a pair in hopes that they could stretch wide enough to accommodate a Stanley Classic French Press Travel Mug, which is great for carrying an ice cold 16 oz. canned beverage. The top opening does expand enough, but the taper to the bottom does not open, stretch or articulate enough to carry the thermos. I'm writing this review just in case someone else had the same question.

Elegant design! No tab- holds my kleen kanteen securely. No rattling. Totally worth the (high) price!

This product said it would fit a 32 oz Nalgene bottle but that's definitely not the case. The design is very cool and I would reccomend it for smaller (no more than 20 oz) bottles

Tension setting allows for a range in sizes (albeit slight)... but holds my camelback perfectly and matches the feel of my Linus.

These bottle cages are super cool and I'm actually glad I ordered the wrong size, as they look cooler on my 80's steel touring bike than the bigger ones would have. Velo does sell a similar bottle cage for Nalgene bottles, but this one is not that. Either way, I'm very happy with my purchase, and I will be ordering some retro water bottles to complete the look.

Love it! Easily holds the thinner 20oz and 24oz Hydroflasks -- they don't fall out over bumps but are still easy to grab while riding. Also works great with other bottles too. You can squeeze it tighter or bend it looser so it places just the right amount of tension on the bottle you're using. Have been using for over 6 months with out problem, and I just ordered a second because it works so well.

Foolishly - I purchased this thinking it was the model that fits the Nalgene size bottles. It's not, let's get that out of the way. This is your standard size cage. That said, I did get a chance to evaluate it briefly before returning. Overall, it looked and felt a bit cheap for what it was. The design looks promising at first glance, but it really wasn't confidence inspiring, and seemed like it would get bent out of shape with frequent use. With a standard cage, you are often pulling the bottle out and to the side. As such, normal cages have open sides. This cage, with the ring at the top, would not be suitable. However, it may be ideal for handle-bar mounts as it would fit a few particular sizes of coffee and soft drink containers much better than your standard cage.

This was too small to hold a nalgene.
