UPDATE Feb 21 2023 So I was able to chat with Amazon cuz it clearly says AMAZON gives you 90 guarantee for this item. And they are allowing return. There is a connection issue either internal to the male side or internal to the wire side. This is the wire connecting to the battery. But clearly won't successfully stay on. I didnt see others having this issue, I don't think, so maybe I was just unlucky with this one. I will try again. The coat is warm on its own, but I do want the heating feature. It was nice. :) UPDATE Feb 18 2023 I received this item on Jan 11, but didn't wear it until a day or two later. Well as of a few days ago, the heating is malfunctioning. Whenever I move or sit with the coat on the indicator lights flash blue, white, red and then it shuts off. This is just after a months use. Poor design in my opinion. I had tried plugging in the battery pack and putting the unit in with the connected end down so the connection wasn't being wiggled around and bent. Attempted to contact Amazon about the issue and am told Nope, outside the return window so now it appears I have a 150 piece of junk coat. VERY DISSAPOINTING. I was really hoping this was going to last at least a few years. When it did work, it was nice to be warm. But now......do not recommend. It would be nice if the company would reach out and try to make this right. This was a gift from my husband. He ordered me a large, but we decided, I should get the Xl so I have extra room for layering. I'm 5'2" and about 175#s. The sleeves are a good length and the body length of the coats goes to the top of my thighs, so my bottom is covered. I like that. The shoulder is a little bit big, but not a big deal. I could wear a base layer and a polar fleece under it if I wanted and still be very comfortable with no constriction. I love the high collar and the fiber fill is nice and fluffy, warm, without being over the top puffy. We live in far far northern Vermont and have 4 dogs that we walk daily, no matter the weather, in addition to going to work, events etc. , this coat will get lots of use. I've had this coat a few days now and have used the battery about 4 hours, without charging, and it finally died. I love this coat and am sorry I didn't discover it myself sooner! Last February I layered up with my name brand down coat and a insulated poncho over it to keep warm. I think I'll be in much better shape for the cold weather this year. The battery takes a few hours to charge, so thinking ahead and charging over night is a good idea. I like the fabric lined pockets that are warm and soft on their own, but also fact that the pockets are also warmed by the heating elements. The only things I'd add to this coat to make is PERFECT would be, another pocket, either inside or on the breast. I do love the warm lining in the included pockets, but I'd just like another spot to hold my phone, keys, lip balm etc. It would be great if it had a double zipper, so you could open the bottom while seated. Lastly, the hood has no way to tighten around your head/face. So thats kinda weird. I suppose I'll have to wear a beanie under when I am out in windy weather, which I fully expect to be. All in all, for the price and quality, I'm very happy. This will be my go to coat for the next 2 1/2 months, so, I'll update if there is anything else to add. Def seems worth it so far.

Runs a little on the small side but fits my husband perfectly. He was very impressed with how lightweight but still warm it is. The hood is detachable, which is a plus in our book. Very easy to use. Heats up in about 60 seconds or less.

This is my second Venustas jacket; this one has a hood, which i need in the frequent drizzle of the PNW. The waterproof finish and brilliant color are key since I walk in the dark rain. The heating elements really work, but I stay warm even without it since the jacket blocks wind and keeps cold out very well. I haven't washed this coat yet but my other came through without issues. I appreciate the size range; the sleeves are long enough for me at 1.88m tall, and that's rare without having to go to a big and tall store. I skittle purchase again. The only thing I would request is a better value for replacement batteries. The pocket for them zips so they're hard to lose, but if in going to be out in the snow hiking, etc. for more than 4 hours, I'd like to have a backup second one ready without paying the price for a second coat. High quality, great purchase I've been recommending to my friends.

I bought this jacket LAST winter. Wanted to see if it would last before I reviewed it. Here’s my review. Yes! It lasted and the battery pack is still going strong. The two heating zones are perfect. The jacket heats up fast and to be honest if I’m doing physical activity like walking the dog or shoveling snow, I turn the heat off. The jacket is well insulated and I find even just wearing a long sleeve t-shirt and I’m sweating in there! Cleans up easily with a damp cloth. It is NOT waterproof, so don’t wear it in a heavy rain. I have two things that do need improvement. First, the hood doesn’t have any way to cinch it closed. I managed to string a long shoelace through the hem around the hood, so it stays up over my head now. Second, the battery and cord easily disconnect causing the jacket not to heat up. I put Velcro tape on the battery pack to hold the cord in place. Also the placement of the battery, close to the front pocket is a bit awkward. All in all, a great sturdy warm jacket!

After 6 years of freezing at soccer games in the winter, I had enough. The Jacket is GREAT. I have not used it at max temp, yet. I use it at LOW, to keep the chill off, so I wasn't COLD, like I used to be. LOW also maximizes the run time of the battery. The inside of the pocket is heated, so I can warm up my cold hands. The front and back heaters are nice. I can choose which one or both to run. I normally run both at LOW. The heater on the neck was a nice surprise, it felt nice. regarding sizing. Contrary to a few reviews, do NOT get it large. The jacket has to fit close to you, so that the heating elements can get the heat to your body. Layers of clothing, like I used to wear under a jacket, will block the heat from your body. If in doubt, go to their web site, where they have a sizing recommendation for the various jackets. Power: At low power on both front and back heaters, I've used it for about 5 hours, and had more than 1/2 power left in the battery, based on the indicator lights on the battery. Size: The size to me is "normal." I ordered a XL based on reviews that the size runs large. But I should have order a L. The XL was too roomy, even with a fleece jacket under it.

I bought this coat for my daughters and wife for Christmas. They seem to be very happy with the overall fit , heating capabilities, and colors. The battery pack could be smaller, but I think they’d take the best lasting longer over it being smaller. It is very simple and easy to use. They like that it gives you warnings of battery life. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought my jacket in September but didn’t get a chance to actually use it until November. Canadian winter as expected was harsh. Right off the dot, the jacket was really helpful. It was very efficient and did a great job at keeping me warm on the job. I work outside so the jacket is well loved. I had issues with my battery after 2 months of use. Just like any other product, I guess there’s always that one off from a batch and unfortunately I got that one off. But fortunately for me, Venustas offered such a great customer service and was quick at sending a replacement of the battery. Their customer service is exceptional and they offer great warranty coverage. Been using the jacket for 5 months now and I’m enjoying every bit of it. I would recommend this jacket to everyone!

Jacket fit well , smaller fit than you would expect for a large. The battery only charged once to 37% but never worked when attached to the jacket. Tried charging it further but it never worked.
