I just cannot get over how well this works. Very well thought out design. It’s vibrationally isolated on 3, possibly 4 levels so it’s quiet and doesn’t drive a lot of energy into the countertop. Simple operation. Huge power. Over-spec’ed and overbuilt. Thick power cable. I use a blender about daily and have gone through several others over the years. This is so remarkably superior. I also bought the stainless carafe and love it

The Vitamix 5200 Blender is an absolute powerhouse in the kitchen, exceeding all expectations for performance, versatility, and durability. This blender has revolutionized my cooking experience, making it effortless to create smoothies, soups, sauces, nut butters, and even ice cream with consistently smooth and delicious results. The powerful motor and sharp blades effortlessly pulverize even the toughest ingredients, leaving no chunks or gritty textures. The variable speed control allows for precise adjustments, ensuring the perfect consistency for every recipe. I particularly appreciate the ability to make hot soups directly in the blender, saving time and dishes. The 64-ounce container is perfect for family meals or batch cooking, and the self-cleaning feature makes cleanup a breeze. While the price may seem steep initially, the Vitamix 5200 is a worthwhile investment that will pay for itself in no time through the countless culinary creations and healthy meals it enables. The quality and durability of the Vitamix 5200 are undeniable. It's built to last, with a solid construction and high-quality materials that can withstand daily use. I've been using mine for years, and it still performs like new. Overall, the Vitamix 5200 is an exceptional blender that deserves all the praise it receives. It's a must-have appliance for anyone who values healthy eating, culinary creativity, and long-lasting quality. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen arsenal.

2nd Update: Initially was very ticked with customer service for taking so long to get to me. After placing a call and waiting on hold for 30 min I have to say it was worth the wait. They supplied a label for shipping all I had to do was deliver to my local 'Goin Postal' who packed and shipped it. It was mailed 7 Feb. They provided tracking and it was received by Vitamix on 11 Feb and returned to me repaired on 15 Feb. They replaced the pitcher with a new one and it looks like they replaced the sprocket on the base as well. So far so good, havent mixed anything 'thick' yet but was very impressed by the turnaround time and ease of returning the product under warranty with no cost to me other than the time involved. Update: 4 Feb 2025..Finally called Vitamix instead of messing around with the countless emails. Spent 30 minutes on hold before reaching a customer service rep. Had to go thru all the same things I went thru with the email correspondence but eventually got around to them sending me a return shipping label so that I could return it be checked out. I will update my review when resolved. I was told it would take about 10-14 days for turnaround. Mailed on 2/7/2025. Feb 2025: I bought my Vitamix in 2019 and it worked just fine with occasional use for smoothies, humus and soups. Recently it has started to grind in high speed. Understanding it has a 10 year warranty I contacted the company on Jan 19, 2025. It's now Feb 3 and I still dont have any resolution. I've been asked multiple times for information and each time I send info it takes another week for them to get back to me. Really disappointed in their customer service.

There's a reason this Vitamix gets such high ratings across the board at major sites. I was on the hunt and hit the RTINGS site to run product comparisons looking for something that would make smoothies daily, without doing further hearing damage to every human and animal in the house. Blendtec's products are effective but LOUD! This Vitamix 5200 replaced the Blendtec ES3 unit we had prior. 70% of its use was making smoothies and crushing ice, the rest was meal related, soups, hummus, butters, purees. What I'll say is this: The 5200 will knock out a smoothie at least 2x faster, if not 3x, and smoother consistency than Blendtec's product. It does this at what sounds like, to me, half the volume; I truly believe I probably have hearing damage from being in proximity to my Blendtec ES3 in the mornings after years of my better half making smoothies. With the 5200, it doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, and it'll get whatever you're putting in there as creamy as you can imagine with minimal effort. So far, several months in, this thing has been holding up great, and I look forward to many years of operation. It's already become a major source of food in the house, and it's easy enough the kids feel confident. The tall slender shape of the bowl seems to work well at promoting a good vortex and keeping fresh content from passing thru the blades. My only singular gripe is cleanup. It's not as easy as our Blendtec, but honestly, I'll forfeit the extra 15-20 seconds each cleaning for all the plusses this came with. One product we've picked up for the kitchen exceeded my highest expectations and I honestly - in hindsight - would've paid more money for. This is restaurant-quality equipment here. Highly recommend over any product Blendtec makes.

Blender sent without blades... for 600.00 I expect all the promised parts along with a manual. Waste of time!

Lemon Scent who sold this blender are a fantastic company, I was initially disappointed that this blender came with an American plug and chose to return it. But Lemon Scent bent over backwards to meet my needs, they will supply an adapter to use in a UK kitchen. I purchased a Vitamix blender many years ago and fell in love with this versatile machine. Easy to use and clean. Worth the investment for sure. Thank you Lemon Scent.

I am not - WAS not - much of a "blender guy", but the Vitamix 5200 changed that. And even though I am typing this all out in a product review, where that sort of sentiment belongs, it still sounds absurd to me. Who gets impressed by a *blender*? Me, apparently. Prior to this Vitamix the only blender I had ever used in my *entire life* was an ancient Osterizer from the 70s. The thing is literally older than I am, but beyond all reasonable expectations it still somehow works. Go Osterizer, I guess? This year I grew way too many hot peppers, decided to make a bunch of hot sauce with them, and suddenly the Osterizer showed its age. While it was fine blending a couple of smoothies a month for us, it struggled to blend up 12 litres of hot sauce in one night, so I figured maybe the time had come to get a "real" (I.E. manufactured in this century) blender. After some internet research I selected the Vitamix 5200 as being the most likely not to struggle through my new hot sauce hobby, only to find that I was basically swatting a fly with a nuke. That old Osterizer took about 2 hours of blending and cooling down to do 12 litres of my (admittedly very thick) hot sauce puree. The Vitamix 5200 did all 12 litres in less than 2 minutes. The Vitamix 5200 is *absurd*. And that has made it life-changing for us. It doesn't matter what you put in there. You can just shove the most fibrous of vegetables in there, right up to the brim, and *bvvvvvt*, instantly pureed. Shove a bunch of ice in there...instant slushy. Anything that is a solid that you no longer want to be a solid anymore this blender will handle. So we went from a household that might make a couple of smoothies every month to one that is now bulk-making sauces, soups, and so forth. We even just toss hole grains of various types (wheat, oatmeal, rye, flax, etc.) and turn them into our own multi-grain flower, then into pre-mixed dry bread ingredients. When we are "low spoons" - I.E. we just don't have the jam to cook properly - we can just pull out some of our pre-made sauce from the freezer, drop it on some noodles, et voila: actual food groups get consumed. As an ADHD household we have been familiar with the concept of "a critical threshold of ease of use" for some time, but we never expected to find that in a *blender*. Somehow, however, the thing is both just easy enough to use and powerful enough to handle whatever we throw at it with zero prep work that has managed to make the "pre-cooking your nutritious meals" parts of adulting just easy enough that we can actually do them on a regular basis. If you're looking for a top-of-the-line blender for your home, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything that would top it, I think. All those rave reviews on the internet were, for once, actually not lying.

I've had cheap blenders in the past few years, including Ninja and other "affordable" models, and they never lasted. They survive for a few months or a year before breaking, fracturing, or simply not giving the power I require for something like a standard silky smooth smoothies. No matter how much water to fruit or vegetable ratio I used, all of my smoothies turned up lumpy, unfinished, or goopy. The amount of money I have wasted on cheap brands compared to this high quality blender specifically the 5200 is upsetting. Very pleased with the power, but as one would always say, could be cheaper, but you can't really put a price on quality.
