There is nothing to match the quality of a vita mix blender I got the basics but it is just as powerful and awesome as the most expensive one it does everything you wanted to do makes smoothies as well as ice cream hot soups and sorbets I can also make dough grind nut butters make different kinds of milks from almond cashew to oats and even more and many more items that are not even mentioned this is a very powerful blender if you ever deciding to buy a blender and you don’t buy a Vitamix don’t say I didn’t warn you the others do not compare Save to get this basic blender Vitamix you will never regret your choice it is worth the money it is a great item that is also guaranteed for five years and you can also add a warranty to stretch the warranty even longer it is well worth the price this is a Vitamix that will last you a lifetime or you can choose One of the more expensive ones that will have all the bells and whistles but you will always get quality but I don’t think you’ll get a better quality than Vitamix I have wanted one of these blenders for more than 10 years and finally had enough money that I didn’t have any bills to pay and was able to buy this as a gift to myself give yourself the gift of health give yourself something that tells yourself you love yourself this blender will take care of you and give you the most healthiest foods you could ever have the Vitamix blender is the strongest blender even in choosing a blender all the others do not compare and they also have commercial Blenders. You can look up many recipes to make foods that are nutritional and organic it is an awesome blender your body will thank you for it there’s nothing like a healthy body and mind and spirit when you consume good food you consume good health

My husband uses it to make a smoothie every morning. I use it to make Mexican sauces with chilies and so forth. Easy to operate, works perfectly, looks nice in the kitchen, easy to clean. Much quieter than the Ninja we used to have. I was so happy when it broke down and we could throw it away. Would choose Vitamix again over all others.

I like this so much better than my last two Ninjas. Great variable & powerful speed, easy to use right out of the box (unlike the ridiculously complicated last Ninja I tried). Blends up frozen fruit, hard chocolate, and quick smoothies while super easy & fast to rinse clean, I love it!

I resisted buying a Vitamix for a long time. I thought it was an indulgence that I didn't need. when my very good old blender died, I replaced it with a newer model--almost worthless. it wouldn't even blend all of a banana in a smoothie. my daughter recommended a ninja, and I got one, but I hated it. the noise! that tower of blades! this vitamix, on the other hand, is the bomb. straight out of the box I used it to blend a batch of palak paneer into a sauce for topping veggie bowls. I couldn't get all the residue out of the bottom, so I threw in the last of the beans and an avocado, with some lime and spice, and hey presto, spicy avocado dip! it took no time at all to make a very smooth and creamy product with both these blends. my only question is, how do you scrape out the residue trapped in the bottom--not for cleaning, for avoiding waste--? and it is not nearly as loud as that refund Oster blender that now goes to Goodwill. I did not buy a larger more powerful model because I'm just cooking for me, but I did spring for the stainless steel blender container, and I love it! the amount of turmeric in my very first blend would have turned the plastic container yellow forever.

We mainly make smoothies, but I was interested in having something that could make nut milks, peanut butter, etc. I had an old Hamilton Beach brand blender which lasted along time, but wasn't particularly powerful. When it started to burn out I decided to get something a little nicer. I did a LOT of research. The Vitamix generally scored pretty high on all the tests, with some complaints of it being too loud, heavy, powerful??? and expensive. I decided to bite the bullet and buy one. It is loud for sure. It's heavy and big. It is super powerful. Some people complained that it's too powerful and that at high speed it creates an air pocket around the blades. Adding a little liquid usually solves that problem for me, the few times it happened. It happened once making hummus and I just used the little tamp down tool they give you to push stuff into the blades. You can just turn the power down a few steps too. I don't really see it as a problem. I'd rather have the extra power there. The fact that the blades aren't removeable makes cleaning a little harder, especially with the thick stuff, but you can usually just pour some soapy water in there and run the blades at high speed to clean them. I think my biggest complaint is that the pitcher doesn't feel very secure on the mount. Like my picture shows, you put the pitcher on the motor mount and when you turn the blades on and the torque kicks in, the whole pitcher twists on the mount. It doesn't feel totally secure. I don't think it would ever go flying off or anything. Once it twists and catches on the rubber footing underneath, it feels secure. It just seems like an odd thing that Vitamix would make a pitcher base that is a little larger than the mount it's sitting on. Unless there's some design reason for it. It just feel off. That being said, it's an amazing blender. I make smoothies with cashews, dry oats, chia seeds, etc, and with the old blender it was always a little gritty. This things blends everything 100%, no leftover bits of things in the smoothy. I made oatmilk and it was totally smooth, no bits to strain out. Maybe I could have gotten similar results with a cheaper blender? I don't regret spending the money. It feels super solid and well built.

I've used a few blenders in the past and eventually stopped using them because they are difficult to clean, have trouble blending basic stuff, and are just generally poorly built. I'd hear about Vitamix and immediately thought how much better could they possibly be? Well, due to some health issues(and my old blender giving off a terrible odor when it overheats) I decided to get one of the most affordable models and see for myself. I am completely sold on Vitamix now. The power available to blend pretty much anything to the very well thought out design and engineering that makes use and cleaning a pleasure. I am very happy with it. In fact, the superior analog controls of the cheaper model doesn't even have me thinking about buying a more expensive one. Unless you include the professional quiet model designed for cafes etc. Anyway, if you're in the market for one I highly recommend the one I purchased. It is rock-solid in terms of performance and design. I have no regrets.

I am a senior on a fixed income. I waited a very long time to get my Vitamin. So it arrives and I find i am too weak to get the lid on. Very bad design. The two parts of the lid with the lip hooks cannot be engaged on both sides. I won't operate with lid unsecured. How disappointing. Useless to me . I wish I never got it.

This is a decent blender that is very adjustable and powerful. Here's my issue: it's barely different than my $30 blender. I'm not the cook in the house so I haven't personally used it to chop or anything like that, but I make a lot of smoothies. Both blenders crush the frozen fruit in a few seconds, and both blenders have trouble mixing the smoothie when it's nearly half full (or higher). I have to use a spoon to stir it up a bit so it will get it all from the bottom to mix (in both blenders). I don't get the point of the poker, because it doesn't help at all. The pulse button doesn't do anything either. In the end, this is less of a pain in my old $30 blender -- a lot less stirring, and pouring is much easier. When I poured from the Vitamix, there was a lot at the bottom that didn't want to come out and it's a lot more difficult to spoon out because the Vitamix is square. What really got me though is my old blender is glass, but this is just plastic. The only real benefit between these two blenders is that you can adjust the power a bit better. This would be nice for maybe $50, but I don't understand why it costs so much when it's no better than a $30 GLASS blender.

I was a bit let down for the price I paid. I thought it would be better, but it works.
