I wasn't sure what to expect since this was my first Vitamix but wow does this thing do its job perfectly. It doesn't have any preset functions but it feels bullet proof with the simple 1-10 speed settings and pulse button. I can get ice and frozen fruit blended into perfect consistency without any ice chunks in about 30 to 45 seconds depending on size of smoothie. I also like the 48 oz size container since it seems to be the right amount and creates a perfect fruit and/or veggie vortex. I was able to blend kale and spinach with green apple into a smoothie (always add water) and get consistent results like something I could order from a real smoothie shop. It cuts through the green stuff so well its almost like a juicer. If you use a strainer with the right mesh you could sift out the extra fiber to get the same result as a juicer. This blender has got me in a healthier mindset since I've been more inclined to using it for my daily nutrition. Worth every penny for me and I expect it to last 20 years with serviceable parts

The vitamix is expensive, but worth it. The first one broke within the same day because I believe I went from low to high too quick? Still unsure what occurred. Maybe just a faulty one. Regardless, i purchased another after quite some time of it sitting in my cart and trying to re-justify spending that much on a blender (adulthood and the expenses that come along with it are indeed ghetto). This one has been great and used daily! It makes being healthier easier-smoothies everyday to get my fruits in! It is easy to use, it is a durable product, it is easy to clean, and it works so well to grind frozen fruit. This and my Dyson are two of my favorite expensive adult purchases! Kudos to the team that made and marketed and put it all together because it is definitely the diamond of blenders. If you have it sitting in your cart, do not second guess any longer, get it, you need it. It even heats soups!

I purchased this Blender for 3 reasons, it came highly recommended by a respected magazine that rates products, it was Self Cleaning and it could fit under my counter. After using it a half dozen times, I will admit that is is easy to clean, and it is will blend just about any food product you can think of to a liquid consistency, BUT, when on High Level 10 (which is recommended by Vitamix for many uses), it is the loudest appliance I have of all the power tools in my house and that includes powerful electric saws and electric blowers, as well as various large powerful vacuum cleaners. The sound can be dampened a bit, by putting the Vitamix on a folded towel, instead of directly on a counter top, but the unit is still very loud at maximum output. My suggestion to anyone who uses this Vitamix on a regular and prolonged basis, because it is used in an enclosed area (the kitchen), is to use Ear Protection to avoid developing hearing problems. There are baffle containers made that will contain and reduce the sound level significantly, but they are very expensive (almost half the price of the blender) and they appear to be large and bulky units. Vitamix has got to figure out a way to quiet these blenders on high speed without the customer having to leave the room.

It's a lot of money for some basic functionality, but it works incredibly well with no fuss. As with all high-powered blenders, there's a little finesse in getting certain foods to have blade contact, but the included plunger is sufficient to get most items to the bottom. My favorite part is actually that there aren't any specific Ice, Smoothie, Soup options, it's just on and off. The pulse takes a split-second to actually start the motor, which can be slightly annoying for rapid pulsing. I've never had an issue with the size of the carafe; only once I've had to do a large pot of soup in two batches. I don't think there's anything I'll ever do that will require the maximum setting on this thing.

Due to the cost, I waited a while before eventually buyimg one of these blenders. I’m glad that I finally made the purchase. My food processor is no match when it comes to creating a smooth liquid.

I use a blender often. My not so old one died, and after seeing reviews on Cooks Illustrated, I decided to try Vitamix. I am very happy with the performance. Easy to clean and use.

We just replaced a perfectly fine cuisinart blender with the Vitamix for making breakfast or lunch smoothies. It is very powerful and not as noisy as we thought it would be . It does get noisy at the very top speed and if you have too much frozen fruit or ice in it but no worse than the cuisinart. A couple of differences though. The vitamix is a plastic mixer bowl and the blades are permanently mounted to it. The cuisinart you spin off the bottom and can easily get at the blades to clean/examine them and the mixer is glass. Both the containers can go in a dishwasher, though with the Vitamix we have just rinsed or washed using a bit of dish soap in the mixer and running at high speed for about a minute and then rinsing. But if the blades do dull you can’t just order a new set of blades, you have to order the whole container with the blades. Overall very happy but no Vitamix is cheap.

So far so good. Takes a bit of practice figuring out portion control, particially for smoothies, etc. Really like the simplicity of the E310, we considered the 750, but very happy with the decison to go with the E310. We haven't found the smaller container with the E310 to be an issue. The biggest issue for blending is having enough liquid, so it mixes well without getting bogged down. Mixes frozen fruit, vegetables and ice silky smooth and you can get that restaurant result. We bought the slate grey colour which is like the colour of that matte/glossy grey you see on some new vehicles. This replaced another well known brand blender we had, which still worked, but the Vitamix is definitely the champ.

Why would Vitamix not inform users in the instruction book that the jug doesn't lock in? I was holding it down thinking it was faulty and may fall off. Google informed me that it was normal and that holding it down could damage it. Shouldn't have to google such an important piece of info. Including it in the instruction book can save hours of unnecessary troubleshooting!

I've been using this blender almost on a daily basis since I owned it. My smoothies have never been so smooth. Even when I add chia seeds and strawberries. If you can afford to have this in your kitchen, I highly recommend it. It takes 10 minutes to gather all your ingredients and blend. Around 3-5 minutes to clean. Within 15 minutes, I have a nice, restaurant quality, smoothie. Very happy with the purchase. Soon I'll be trying to make ice cream and soups.

I’m disappointed with this blender unless you’re mixing only powder be prepared to be drinking chunks it will not blend any kind of berry it’s ok with mango and under the silicone pad at the bottom it will never dry out it’s always wet not sure if that will cause issues in the future I’ve had it for a few months I returned a ninja at half the price for this big mistake I would not purchase this model in the future
