[Update] After posting the following comment, I heard back from the vendor regarding the ill-behaving panels. Eventhough I had not requested a return, they sent me a new set which work great. I really appreciate the diligence they showed in the is matter. Many vendors would just ignore the reviews and move on. So THANK YOU. I have purchase many many sets of these charger. They are great while they work, but at some point they stop working, normally within 6-8 months. I treat them as consumables. But the last two sets I have purchased have stopped working within a few weeks, the last one lasting just two weeks. My cameras have not changes, and I have moved them around from camera to camera to make sure it is not the camera. No good. I can't return this item because one works, and it was part of a set, but definitely will think twice before ordering a replacement.

I was unsure of whether to buy these solar panels or the Arlo ones. I decided to try these first because you get two solar panels for 30-40% less than the cost of one Arlo solar panel. Here are my thoughts and experiences so far after 2+ months. 1. Not enough power to allow for continuous recording. I knew this ahead of time so I’m not deducting any stars in this review. 2. Obviously the charge amount depends on weather and time of year (how long the sun is out). So far from March to May, I can get up to 30% battery charge if there’s minimal activity being recorded. When my kids are playing in the backyard all day and the camera is constantly recording and uploading video, I can get about 10% battery charge. 3. Installation is super easy, and this saves me from having to bring out the ladder to exchange batteries. The initial Arlo battery out of the box is roughly 50-60%, and by the end of day 2 the battery was at 100%. Overall, I highly recommend this product. There’s adequate charge that saves you from the inconvenience of having to change the batteries. It’s easy to install and is still working well after 2+ months.

I installed these two panels next to two separate cameras in entirely different areas around the house. One of them gets a lot of great south/southeast sunshine. The camera status indicates that the battery is charging almost all the time and even with events throughout the day/night (triggered mostly by the dog) the camera manages to get back to a full charge each day and easily last through less-than-sunny days. Previously, this camera would barely last a week and even died within 48 hrs once before the panel. The second camera is on the other side of the house, is north facing, and in a shaded areas that really never gets direct sunlight. The camera's status never indicates charging but I have seen in increase in how long the camera battery lasts. I do want to reconnect the panel as it originally indicates some sort of power fault but in the meantime, while it doesn't appear to be charging, the battery has very slowly been draining losing only about a percent a day. A wonderful improvement for both cameras and I am satisfied! I was originally skeptical of the panels being able to increase the time between replacing the batteries much less keeping them fully charged. That said, I have been pleasantly surprised, even with the north facing camera (which made just need to be reset). Definitely worth the investment especially if the expected battery life of 1-3 months turned out to be more like a week or less in reality. I was also skeptical of the quality - IMO the Arlo panel looks cleaner in the pictures and of a higher quality - but I am also very pleased. These panels look and feel great and well built. After much delay and research I can definitely say that getting two of these panels seems to be the way to go. Edit: 3/24/2022 - Just over 2 years Shortly after writing my original review, I ended up never needing to change the batteries. My back-up batteries sit on the charger where they have for quite some time. I may have changed them once or twice due to periods of elongated lack of sunshine. Only thing stopping now is laziness. Structurally - I had the southeast side one come down today. We had high winds but if I'm being honest, it was probably broken by some contractors who had recently done work; I seem to recall last I repositioned it, one size of the mount was broken. The other one has lost it's nut and gets a limp from time to time. All in all, should be fixable and even if the other one broke due to wear, not bad for two years of central Texas weather! Hoping to be able to locate a way to replace just the mount without needing to get another set. But definitely considering just getting new set. Still a 5 star product!

The mount is plastic and flimsy so it can break if you over-tighten the screw. I bought one for an Arlo essential camera and that was made of metal, this one is plastic. it works and charges but if it is a high traffic area like at least one trigger every hour for a few minutes then this will not get your battery to 100% but that can also be good as slow charging is better than fast as the latter can shorten battery life. Once you lock the panel into place it will be hard to remove but you can still flip it so you can move to a different location. Overall it is still a good buy as it is cheaper than the Arlo one.

I ordered this panel to support an Arlo Pro 3 camera. The camera was located in a place where every 3 or 4 weeks, I would have to get the ladder out, climb up there and take it down to recharge it. This can sometimes be daunting and dangerous. I loved this panel when I got it. It was super easy to install and relieved me of climbing a ladder. One day I got an alert on my camera system, that my battery was low on one of my cameras. Well! It happened to be the one with solar panel connected to it. It was down to 23%! I climbed up the ladder, inspected it and "reinstalled" it. 4 days later, it was 54%. I had used this panel for less than 2 months. (By the way, it was summer and sunny everyday). I decided to return it. The company is VERY Hard to contact and get a refund. It was however refunded. Do not recommend.

Simple to install and charges my Arlo camera well. Very concerned about strength of the mount in windy environments though. Will see once we get storms. Can't raise the star value until wind tested

Works exactly as described to keep the batteries charged at 100%. Much better idea than getting magnetic charging cables where you'd have to drill a hole into the house and thread the line inside. Excellent value compared to the Arlo brand name solar panels. We're in the middle of Ontario winter where temperatures have been about -5C on average. No issues with charging. We do get enough sunny days.

I bought two of these in December 2020 and by the end of April one had already stopped charging one of my Arlo Ultra cameras. I wonder how long will the second one last...

Love the fact that I don't need to unmount the cameras or to climb up a ladder to charge the batteries.

Solar panels for Arlo Pro 3 cameras. After first day charge increased from 39% to 76% on a sunny November day. Very simple to install and connect.
