This Waterpik is exactly what I needed for keeping up with dental care between cleanings. It’s strong enough to really clean around gums and between teeth, but gentle enough to use daily without irritation. I especially like the different pressure settings — even the lower one feels effective without being harsh. It’s compact and easy to handle, and the cordless design is a game-changer. The water reservoir lasts just long enough for a full flossing session, and the waterproof design means I can use it in the shower without worry. It charges quickly and the travel case is a nice bonus — I’ve already brought it on one trip and it packed perfectly. If you’ve got braces, bridges, or just want a deeper clean than string floss can give, this is definitely worth it. ADA acceptance just gives me more peace of mind.

Click to play video I know that water flossers are highly recommended by dentists however my idea of one was a bulky water tank with a little hose and let’s be real if you don’t feel like flossing then having to take the big machine out won’t sound exciting either! This portable water flosser is a whole different story! It’s light and easy to use even for first timers. Depending on the pressure settings you will need to refill the water tank at least 2-4 times, but it’s so easy I don’t mind at all, much better deal for me than having a heavy device. It took me about two days to get the hang of it and personally don’t think the process of water flossing is as messy as other reviews make it seem. I do have to say that even on the lowest pressure it does a very good job and classic floss comes out 100% clean after. As somebody whose gums bleed a lot while flossing I don’t have any abnormal sensitivity or bleeding with water flossing so that’s a pro. This would have been amazing for when my wisdom teeth started growing and it was hard to reach and properly clean the area. At first I was confused about the charging process as it states you should plug it in for 8 hours before use, but my device came already charged. One of the manuals mentions 8h to charge, the other manual states 4h so they should streamline their information. As stated in the listing it only comes with charging cable (no plug included) which means you will need to find one that works with USB (I thought this was a con at first), but it actually makes it great for traveling as you’ll be able to use it anywhere in the world! Noise level is to be expected and nothing out the ordinary. 3 level settings seem to be the appropriate amount as I can’t imagine needing any more. The only thing I wish this device had is battery level and light control for charging. I’m used to my electric toothbrush showing how much battery life I have left and believe the water flosser will only notify you when battery is low. Overall this is a great product I regret not purchasing sooner.

I purchased this advanced cordless model for two reasons: 1. I didn't want a big bulky unit with tubes and wires cluttering my bathroom 2. Needed a waterpik that could be used while travelling This is a truly fantastic product which ultimately sorted out my gum disease and prevented major gum surgery. My periodontist was so amazed when I saw him and did a double take when he read in the file that I had last seen him 6 months previously! He hardly had any work to do I have been using this since the beginning of October 2017 The first time I used it, it alternated between tickling my gums and feeling like there were needles attacking my mouth! I couldn't finish my whole mouth due to this and my gums were bleeding in a few places I was unprepared for the PULSING water as I assumed it was just a steady stream of water One needs to persevere, as your mouth needs to get used to the waterpik sensations. It took about a week to get used to it and during this time my gums still bled. Over time, the bleeding got less and less and eventually stopped altogether as did my swollen gums First Impressions It was bit bulkier than it looks in the pictures I had to start on the LOW setting as the water pressure is quite strong After a month, I have moved to MEDIUM and am now on HIGH Some reviews have mentioned that they feel that the pressure is not strong enough, but it seems that the measure is compared to the plug in model which is understandably more powerful Having said that, I don't think that I personally could handle more pressure as on occasion, if one points the nozzle incorrectly on the gums, it still can feel like needles on the gums but this is very rare (The pressure of this portable model is approximately 75psi) The little flap where you fill the reservoir doesn't seem to be too tight when you first use it, but it works like a charm and water doesn't leak out The buttons are well positioned and one doesn't push them by mistake At first, it was quite difficult to do the inside of my teeth, until I realised that the nozzle swivels, which made all the difference In terms of travelling, it is supplied with a grey plastic "blocker" which is inserted in place of the nozzle. This prevents residual water from leaking out It is quite difficult to empty ALL the water out of it, so when travelling, ensure that it is put in a Ziploc bag as there will be a small amount of water that will leak out I use dental floss before using the waterpik. There is no special reason for this, other than I am used to using dental floss anyway and feel that this assists in removing plaque from the sides of the teeth The reservoir holds a fair amount of water (I suppose that there has to be a balance between size and capacity) I fill up between 3 or 4 times during a session which is very easy to do Although there are third party generic hard cases available, it would be nice if Waterpik had a custom hard case as an option which would be larger at one end and narrower at the other end so as not to cause unnecessary bulk in your suitcase. A hard case is a necessity as otherwise the buttons will be pressed and the likelihood of the unit being cracked or broken when you take it out of your suitcase is quite high PROS Portable Efficient Wireless charging (more on that below) Does a fantastic job 3 pressure levels Ergonomic fit to your hand CONS No proper hard case Unintelligent battery - big issue Unable to empty it completely so a small amount of water leaks out when travelling BIG FLAW!!!! The reason for only four stars is that the battery is very old technology in that if you charge it for more than four hours, the battery overcharges and will no longer hold a charge which renders the Waterpik useless One would expect that with the technology available today, the battery shouldn't be a problem, but it is It is mentioned in the user manual, but it is not highlighted and the consequences are not explained Waterpik really need to address this issue as it has the potential to damage their reputation It is worth paying a few dollars extra not to have this issue To charge the unit, place the magnetic charger on the body near the bottom (the charger is magnetised and will automatically attach to the correct spot) and it starts charging, BUT you have to remember to remove the charger as soon as its charged (about four hours), which is not convenient at all CONCLUSION Despite the battery/charging issue, I think that this is a fantastic product but would ONLY recommend it if you are willing to put up with and manage the charging of it It would really be nice if Waterpik would comment and clarify the issue

Excellent construction and durability. Very easy to use and doesn't take up a lot of room to clutter your bathroom storage or where ever you choose to store it. Not noisy and very comfortable to use and also maintain! Great value for the money and performance. A++ Highly recommend.

Gone are the days of dental floss, with the annoying string and having to work them through each nook and cranny in the teeth. If oral hygiene is important, this is a must have. Makes flossing a breeze. Although pretty expensive, this is a good kit. Comes with 2 different heads with storage case, a charger and the waterpik. Its has a smooth flow and is not overtly powerful - which is a good thing as too much can harm the teeth and gums. I find the reservoir size adequate, but you can always refill it easily. Changing the heads is easy too, which is good for daily use. Build quality is very good, with a rubberized grip at the neck, that makes it easy to hold. The ergonomic grip allows for the thumb to exactly hover over the power button, should a stop be required in between.
