Great little grill. It took me a bit to understand that "high" is the same as start when rotating the dials to warm it up. Once I figured that out it was off to the races.

I've been a Weber charcoal kettle grill user for over 20 years, and still am. You just can't beat Weber quality and technology when grilling. I finally decided to try a propane grill after steadfastly refusing to battle the flare-ups and lack of taste that gas grills produce. As a single guy, and normally cooking for only myself, or 3 or 4 people, my 18" kettle USUALLY was all I needed. But when cooking veggies as well as the protein, the grill got small very fast and I was limited to cooking with no choices with direct or indirect heating. I was looking for options. Additionally, when cooking something that takes a long time to cook properly, like a pork loin, rack of ribs, or a whole bird, it is a pain to have to continually move things around and add more charcoal. So, propane. Webers are so expensive comparatively. But, then, cost is either just cost, or value over the years. Knowing Weber, and seeing the difference in quality of propane grills my friends own, I decided that I was going to buy a Weber, or nothing. I made a good choice. The Spirit 210 offers a 50% greater grilling surface than my kettle, so combined, I have enough cooking area for a family reunion. Another area of concern for me was putting the grill together. I had read so many reviews stating that it was not easy, or that it required 2 people, or parts were damaged, bent, not aligned properly or confusing, I was hesitant. I am 55, in decent shape, but I have shoulder problems and I was really concerned that I wouldn't be able to put the thing together. I called my 19 year old nephew to see if he could come over and help, but he was going to be back at school, but would come back the next weekend to help me. Cool, so I've got that covered. Ready to order. So when I'm at the cart page, I notice with my Prime account, the order will arrive on a day I'm out of town. I don't want this box to sit on my porch for a day and night when I'm not there. So I wait a day to order so it will arrive on a day I'm home. I placed the order, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the grill. I checked the tracking, and the darn thing is going to arrive the day earlier anyway! Normally, I wouldn't complain about something arriving earlier than it was supposed to, but I was sweating it. I tried to change the arrival date through UPS, but it was too late apparently. Anyway, when I got home, the grill was sitting on the stoop in it's huge box when I arrived. I'm not a mechanically inclined person, and I had reservations about putting the thing together with a manual with no words...pictures only. Believe me when I say the hardest part of putting the grill together was getting the sonofagun in the house. Take your time, look at the picture and it will work out fine! I didn't have to reverse any steps, and I didn't need my nephew to help me lift anything. When he got here, I cooked him an awesome pork tenderloin and we had a good visit. This is a fantastic "small" grill (360 sq inches), it get's plenty hot very fast. I love the cast iron cooking grates (they should show 2 people carrying those, not the hotbox). In fact, the food tastes so good off of this grill, I'm wondering if my beloved kettle grill is alive or a fossil.

Needed to replace a well used Weber Q220 grill and wanted something that was not huge and easy to move around our deck and covered porch. After reading top reviews on about a half dozen sites, we choose the Weber Spirit 210. This grill is right sized for 2-4 people in terms of cooking capacity, yet has a fairly small imprint, especially with the shelves folded, and can literally be moved with one finger on its castor wheels. Features I value include porcelain coated cast iron grates, fast pre-heat (10 mins to 550 degrees), temp control that's actually allows you to cook as low as 275 or as high as 600 degrees, built in propane gauge, design of the grease catching system (drip onto triangle shaped falvorizer bars, then into sloped catch basin down into disposable aluminum tray), and the door to the base cabinet which swing easily and closes with magnet catch. Least favorite feature is how the propane bottle is mounted - it works, but requires you to lift the bottle up inside a fairly tight cabinet at an awkward angle. Also, I wish Weber had incorporated a light in the handle that automatically comes on when you open the lid, like our former Q-220 had. Grilling performance with both direct and indirect heat has been top quality with very even heat control. The elephant in the room with gas grills is assembly. Yes, you can pay extra for an assembled grill at a big box store, but I've tried that in the past with very disappointing results....incorrect assembly, dangerous leaks, etc. I was prepared for a tedious project, brushing up on all my curse words and a full box of band aids in hand I dove in. The good news is that the parts are well organized. Fasteners and special small parts are packed in letter coded bags in order of assembly. The assembly instructions are mostly clear and logical. Key items like the gas line and burners are pre-assembled and tested. The bad news is that the instructions are all in pictures, no words, and in a few places it is not obvious what goes where. Complete assembly took me about 2 1/2 hours. As can be expected when shipping something this large, that weighs about 120lbs, my grill sustained some superficial damage in shipping. Two of the cabinet sides had ends that were bent, which was no problem to correct with pliers and a towel to protect the finish. The base cabinet door however was badly creased on the hinge side, enough to distort the shape and fit of the door in place. The owner's manual instructs to contact Weber.com, not the seller. I went on-line, clicked on "Parts/Support" and found an 800 number staffed 7 am to 10 pm daily. I called and and a rep actually answered after two rings. Explained my problem, and the rep responded saying no problem, I wouldn't want that either, I will have new door shipped out to you a asap. Two days later, I received the new door which took less than 5 mins to install. The replacement door even came with its own assembly instructions. That in my experience, is exceptional customer service. Yes, that has a cost, and no doubt is part of the reason you pay $400 for a mid-size grill. Overall I find the Spirit 210 to be a very good value.

Works well, good even heat, heats up quickly. I like the built in scale that the tank hangs on and shows how much gas is left. The assembly instructions are very good - many small bags of nuts, bolts and pieces but each corresponds to the steps in the instructions to it flows well. At first it looked complicated since there were about 24 steps, but Weber has just broken it down by small steps that make it easy to follow and assemble. Really like the foldable side tables as well, very convenient to not have a bbq footprint dominate a space if you need it out of the way. No problem with the size, it handles a lot of food. So far so good after a month or so, we will see after a few winters how it is holding up.

Lovely solid BBQ and I'm hoping it will give us just as many years of great grilling as our other Charcoal Weber (Performer) has - 10 years and still looking and working great. I like that the instructions were well laid out and that putting it together didn't hold any strange surprises. Also appreciate the propane tank gauge and how easy it fires up. Even at full tilt it's really quiet - nice, and it heats up very quickly. I found that it was even to maintain an even temperature across the grid and I like that the lid has enough height so that I can put a whole chicken in there. The Webers are often a bit pricier than the rest, but they're sure some of the best.

Received my new BBQ two days ago! Only took a couple of days! Put it together yesterday, took my time, and from opening the box to putting it together, then clean up took just over two hours. Used it last night! It is a well built, solid and much bigger then you think! I was a little worried about only having two burners, but there is a huge area to grill on!! I highly recommend this BBQ! I love mine!

Wonderful BBQ, I was worried it would be too small or it didn’t have enough burners. But this grill works very well even in -25*C. The size was exactly the same as my last bbq which had three burners (from bbq tech a cheap Walmart brand). I think what makes this bbq cook so well is the distance from the burners to the grilling surface. But nothing gets burnt and everything is cooked perfectly. The main reason for buying this brand (Webber) is both the reviews from people I know that personally own one and the fact that you can still buy replacement parts for bbqs that are over 15 years old... I have only used it 4 times since I purchased it but so far I can’t say enough good things about it!!!
