I bought this for my brother to read with his daughter. I flipped through it before gifting it and it made me cry. Beautiful text and illustrations. Definitely recommend for any dad with a daughter!

It brought tears to my eyes thinking of the tender relationship between a Dad and his daughter.

We have raised our g daughter since birth and my husband her step-grandfather has been her rock such a nice tribute to him she us now 17 and he is her “dad”

Excellent child’s book. The book gave me so much happy emotions. This book can be added as one of the best children’s books ever! I suggest a few pages of rewrites. The writer did such an amazing job of reminding the little girl at the end on “most” pages she’s her dad’s “my girl” or some version of (ie: precious girl, sweet girl). But a “few” pages did not end in this sentiment. I suggest to the writer, to do a re-write/update ending the pages: (1) With Deer – “But I’ll always be right here for you, my girl.” (2) With Bunnies – “Home will always be waiting for you, my girl.” (3) With Birds – “and hope life’s full of wonder for you, my girl.” (4) With Bears – “my darling, my daughter, my world, my girl.” To my future, grand-daughter, we will read this book to her and will pass it on to her daughter, and it will become a generation pass down to all daughters from one generation to the next – Thank you!

It’s very sweet and my daughter loved getting this as part of her wedding gift from the person who walked her down the aisle. I also gave her a compact ordered from Amazon that was engraved and a card that I wrote a lot of our personal history in and how proud of her I am and so forth. It’s not an expensive gift, but she loved it and thanked me for it multiple times. I think it would be a great book for any Dad of any age to share with your daughter. I wish I could have read it to her when she was growing up. Take a look at it - it’s meant to be from a loving Dad to his beloved daughter.

What a precious book! This book really tugs at your heartstrings. The whole family unexpectedly teared up the first time we read it and the illustrations are so adorable. This book will definitely be my new go to baby shower gift for parents expecting a daughter. I loved it so much that I just ordered why daughters need a mom, why sons need a dad, and why sons need a mom. I can’t wait to get them and hope they’re just as cute!
