The Whynter CUF-301SS is a fantastic upright freezer! It has a sleek stainless steel design, runs quietly, and keeps everything perfectly frozen. I’ve only had it for a few days, but I have to say I’m loving this little freezer so far. I’d been needed extra freezer space for a while, especially for the frozen dog food i have on regular delivery every few months. So I looked at a LOT of different small freezer styles (upright or chest) sizes, brands and reviews. I have pretty limited space in my kitchen for another appliance, but didn’t see the point in the truly tiny models. And the chest style would have been too large and not allowed me to store items on top. This Whynter model fit my storage needs exactly and holds even more than I anticipated. It was super easy to set up and quick to hit the freezing point, which it’s maintaining perfectly. Plus it had the best overall reviews of the many I researched when it comes to dependability. And it’s attractive for what it is — perfectly matches my existing stainless steel appliances — and I find it to be very quiet. I couldn’t be happier with it! As mentioned, I’ve only had the freezer for a few days so haven’t not yet had to go through the defrosting process. But as long as it keeps working as it currently does, I’ll continue to be satisfied. If anything changes, I’ll report back.

Perfect size if you only need a small supplemental freezer. The freezer arrived in perfect condition. No dents! Customer service was helpful and replied promptly with my question about the condenser breaker. Pros: Keeps food frozen, semi quite with a humming sound and is compact. Cons: condenser breaker turns freezer off every 9 minutes which the loud click can be annoying. The instructions state, do not place the freezer in an area that’s gets 0ver 90 degrees. (in my case, I was not able to keep in the freezer in the garage.) Haven’t had the freezer long enough to rate on longevity or manual defrosting. So far happy with my purchase.

The Whynter CUF-301SS Upright Freezer is a great little freezer. Arrived in one day in good condition. Took out of box and plugged in and works perfectly. I bake a lot during the holidays and stock up on items during the year when they’re on sale. This is a perfect size to store chocolate, nuts, and butter for baking and free up space in my refrigerator freezer for actual food. I have had it just one day but so far so good. Would recommend.

The Whynter CUF-110B is a fantastic upright freezer. It is quite spacious for its small size and runs very quiet. I utilize a precise digital thermometer inside to ensure proper temperature and it maintains the temperature exactly as advertised. It arrived in perfect condition--no bumps or dents and is very easy to set up. Highly recommend this small upright freezer without hesitation - great value!

I rarely post a review, but have come to learn that the negative ones can be the most important ones and I sure wished I'd trusted them. Nobody, including myself, complains when something is working good. But it's when a product breaks down that you find out just how good the manufacturer is. I am out of warranty, and I received the freezer as a gift for a brand new bar I had built in my home. I understand things don’t last forever, however, you would hope it would be more than a year and a half to two years. Maybe this unit should be advertised as “May work great for a long time, or may not make it much past the warranty! Buyer beware!!” Bet their sales would go way down….. So, upon contacting Whynter, they were more than polite both on the phone, as well as in their emails. After giving me a list of possible problems, I responded that none of them applied and that my freezer was cold, but not freezing. After several more emails back and forth, I truly believe they did not read them, or didn't care, as when I finally responded: "Since you: “take all feedback seriously” and “all positive and negative feedback is reviewed by Senior Management”, let them know that I agree with the other reviewers that said Whynter customer service was polite but completely useless and there are other manufacturers that truly care about their customers. " Their response was: Thank you for your reply. We apologize that the unit is not freezing and appreciate the feedback. We would be happy to begin troubleshooting with you despite the unit being out of warranty." They went on to give me some of the same instructions that I had already told them didn't work! No matter how negative my feedback was to them about my freezer quitting working after being in the exact same location and untouched, they would just reply with the same things to check that I had checked and told them two emails ago. Even after telling them: "you can close out my ticket, as I just ordered another freezer so I would have it in time for the super bowl this Sunday. I would be really upset if I waited another day or two emailing back and forth and not have a freezer for the game." They again replied thanking me and telling me to troubleshoot the same issues! I really wish I'd paid more attention to the other one and two star reviews on Amazon. I really hope I can help someone that is looking for a freezer and point them away from this terrible product. Why can't a company just say they're sorry and do the right thing?? After all, if their product is as good as they say it is, replacing a bad one such as mine should be a rare occurrence......

I get bad migraines and having to go downstairs to get an ice pack (especially in summer) was becoming difficult. This freezer is nice and compact and means that I have ice packs at the ready whenever a migraine strikes.

I live in a small place and fits perfect enough to keep it inside a cabinet. It's super cold, freezes all type of food: shrimp, fish, meat, chicken, beverages, etcetera. I would recommend it always.
