I’ve been wanting to upgrade my old laptop’s wifi chip for awhile now. It’s about 8 years old and originally has wifi N but runs on Windows 10. I bought a wifi chip adapter in order to get this to work with my laptop because my laptop has the older socket design. Right off the bat my computer recognized this wifi chip, so there were no drivers to install or anything. But what bugs me is that I have noticed no difference over my old N chip. My current wifi plan is 300mbps and I know the max of N is 300mbps, but my old chip was only reaching 100mbps. And.. well, this new chip is no different. I sat down right beside the router the other day to do a speed test with this ax chip and it also only reaches 100mbps. Other computers in my house are capable of reaching the full 300mbps. I’m guessing it’s a limitation of my obsolete 8 year old chip socket and not this wifi chip, but I have no way to test that to know for sure. I’m giving this product 5 stars because I assume it’s my laptop’s limitation and not the product. To be honest, I’m a bit shocked it works with my old laptop at all.

Unit fit perfectly. Made a great, inexpensive upgrade for my laptop. I already had the driver package installed, seems the package from Intel for this chipset was the same as my older wifi card. I will say, I had those little antenna wire connections. They are so are to fight. And, that's not this card specifically, it's the industry that has set that standard.

Good product--good reception, 802.11ax, fast connection, solid drivers, etc. I used this to replace an 8260 in a Dell e7470 (circa 2016), and it should have been a drop in....but it was very difficult to get the antennas connected. I don't know if it was a Dell or Intel problem, but the 8260 seemed like a much better fit for the wires, and it took a lot of time to get them connected to the AX200 just right. I ended up mangling the connectors a bit, but I finally got them on and everything works as expected. Now that it is installed, I don't think that I will ever think about the installation again, but I sure was nervous when I couldn't get the antennas on. I installed this more to upgrade BT to 5.1 than the move to 802.11ax. My headset works much better with 5.0+, but the dongle that came with it was range limited. The AX200, utilizing the antennas built into the laptop, has much better reception. I haven't tested the new wifi protocol yet, but everything looks like it should be good to go. 802.11ac connections look fine, with no significant speed changes vs. the 8260.

My old one would not stay connected to the network. This new one works fast and never disconnects from my network. It was easy to install and I did not have to install any drivers.

It seems that most people still do not understand what purpose cards like these provide. In order to achieve WiFi 6 speeds, you need an WiFi 6 router that is rated at the speed you are trying to achieve (in this case a maximum of ~ AX3000). If you are using a non-AX router or a slower AX router, you will still get all of the advanced Wifi 6 features, but not the maximum rated speed of this card. WiFi 6 has other great advantages such as enhanced signal strength, enhanced MU-MIMO and beamforthing, and enhanced bandwidth sharing which will make a difference in your stability, coverage, and signal... as well as adding to the speed of your WiFi6 connected devices. So while this may or may not improve your wireless connectivity for your device without a WiFi 6 router (depending on the card that you are replacing), it will prepare your device for your upgrade to a WiFi 6 router at a very reasonable price. While this card is not as easy as plugging in a USB WiFi adapter, there are currently very few if any USB WiFi 6 adapters. In Windows, the Intel drivers need to be downloaded and installed before installing the card to easy setup issues... and if the installation is to complex, find your local computer expert and pay them a few bucks. My husband is very happy with his laptop WiFi upgrade, as now he basically gets his own dedicated channel on our WiFi 6 network. Since this is basically a newwe standard Intel card at a reasonable price and it does the job, I am rating it four stars. As always, you mileage may vary... though in this case, if this card fits and functions in your device, that mileage should be very similar... or your doing something wrong.

This is great. Used to get 250 mbps max for the download speed with Qualcomm card, but now I’m getting over 400mbps easily. This was a great investment.
