Wonderfully written and so meaningful. If you like C. S. Lewis you’ll love this series. So much fun and adventure. Definitely some peril but met with courage. We get to see the forging of heroes and the internal struggle of our heroes as they face each challenge.

My husband, 9-year-old and I fight over these books. We race to see who can read ahead of the others. The characters have a strong family bond and are portrayed as very real the way they act and feel. The story has some evil characters and a few scenes that would be upsetting to younger, more sensitive readers and I’d recommend reading it later for maybe age 8 and under. But I am very sensitive, and if I can read and enjoy it, I think most people could. The story gets better and better, just when you think it couldn’t possibly get better. I’ve laughed out loud, I’ve cried. It’s a beautiful story of a family who sticks together no matter what happens in the evil world around them. Also there’s a lot of humor and curious characters that hold your attention in every page. Our FAVORITE books we’ve read EVER!!! Applause to Andrew Peterson!! Well done.

these books are so good! i am an adult and a christian so i was looking for more fun adventure/ fantasy books that were clean and encouraging but still good - and these have lived up! i honestly appreciate the simplicity of the writing but also just the closeness of the family and their morals - its hard to find good books with good morals nowadays so i found this series very valuable and would recommend it to anyone of any age. i also love the occasional art and bonus information in the footnotes!

I started reading these books because my friend’s 16 year old son recommended them to me. I love fantasy, but as a Christian, it can be very difficult to find fantasy books that are centered on the faith that are actually good! I wanted to something that was easy to read, was a series, had a good plot, and was written by a Christian author. I can say that The Wingfeather Saga went above and beyond all my expectations! I laughed, I cried, and I enjoyed every minute that I’ve as reading these books. I devoured them! Not only that, but the cover art of every book is STUNNING. If I wasn’t reading the books, I was starring at the covers of each one. This series is so so rich from the world building to the characters. I love the world of Aerwiar and the complexity and simplicity of the world. I love EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. I love that Janner is the most relateable character, with complex inner thoughts that frequently reflect my own in times of trial. I love Janner’s complex wrestle between his sinful nature as a human, but also the godly love and tenderness he feels towards others. I love how ALL of the male characters embody biblical masculinity. It’s so refreshing to have men like that especially in this day and age. I love how the women in the series are tender, strong, and embody what it means to be a woman. Overall, if you need a seriously amazing series to read or to read with your kids, I would 100% recommend this one! My friend’s kids and I are anxiously anticipating the animated series release on December 2nd! I would highly recommend to read this before watching the series! ❤️

I am completely astounded at how wonderful this series is. I am even more astonished that the first book was published 16 years ago. How is it that I, a fantasy lover, happened upon these books when surfing through Amazon, and had never heard of this series before? I read the reviews and recognized that it was geared toward preteen to early teen audiences. My intention was to read it to my kids. In pre-reading it, I learned how mystifyingly brilliant Andrew Petersen is. Never mind that the main characters are pre-teens, I have been completely overcome with emotion and wonder at the world and relationships these characters have endured. I was prompted to purchase it because after thousands of reviews, this set of books still averaged 5 stars. I have honestly never seen anything on Amazon garnish this much praise. If you can’t tell by my adoration in this review, I could not recommend this more highly. Do the world a favor and purchase several copies of this book-set and give them to all of your children or grandchildren.

I have yet to actually read the books, so I'll refrain from review of the story. However, I can comment on the quality of this set and WOW! Sturdy box, vibrant printing directly on the covers (no dust jackets!!) and the feel of them are just amazing. The pages are the right amount of thick and flexible, and the overall make of these books are wonderful. I was on the fence about getting a box set of a series I have yet to try, but when the Amazon Book Sale happened I knew I had to hop on it. So, even if it's not a great story (which I highly doubt) at least I still have stunning quality books to add to my shelf! Happy reading <3

We bought these after watching the Netflix series and they have not disappointed. Kept our kids well engaged in reading and they loved it. Captivating and relatable to young ones. Has a magical other worldy storyline similar to Last Airbender, Dune, Harry Potter, etc. The authors have done a good job.

Play Video If there was a 10 out of 10, my son would’ve given it 100. He loved the set so much. For reference, he is age 10. He read through them in a little over a month, I could not pull him off of the set. He has watched all of the TV shows, and he said that it was better than the TV shows. He recommends the series to all his friends. As the mother’s perspective, the books have really good storylines of the brother and sister caring for each other and encouraged decision-making. It really encouraged the reader to think about what was right, to get along with their siblings, and a distinction between right and wrong. Highly highly recommend this set for your child!

Diese Bücher sind einfach nur der Hammer!!! So spannend, so kreativ (ich liebe es, wenn man so viel Freude daran hat, mit wie viel Fantasie der Autor alles ausmalt, und auf welche Ideen er kommt - unglaublich!), tolle Geschichte mit tiefen Lebensnahen Gedanken/Lehren. P.s. das Audiobuch (bei Audible von dem Autor selbst gesprochen) ist auch unfassbar gut - sogar die verschiedenen englischen Akzente macht er nach! Wirklich toll!

I bought this to read aloud to my 10&11 yr olds. We all thoroughly enjoyed the series. The third book was our favourite. Both of my kids could have read this themselves but we like reading some books together. I avoid books that have bad attitudes, romances between kids and other modern day agendas. This book had none of that garbage. It was well written, exciting and not predictable. We fell in love with the main characters.
