I’m SO glad I found this instant Yerba Mate! I’ve spent so much money on Guayaki brand that is so hard to even find Unsweetened and in the glass bottles anywhere, and when you do find it, it’s cost prohibitive & bulky. I travel continually so this tea makes me so happy as it tastes good enough to replace the other. I just reuse a Guayaki glass bottle refilling with room temp water, put in 1/2 tsp (it does require a little more than directions say), shake it up & let it settle, top off the bottle with water and throw 2 of them in the ice chest. It gets me going in the AM when I’m trying to reduce coffee, or gives me an afternoon pickup without the cortisol spike. But be careful, there is plenty of caffeine and it will still spike you. But Yerba Mate is great for digestion so makes a good pickup after lunch I like the bottle for travel and the lid is very easy to get off & on. Maybe they could put a little snap top opening tho to make it even easier.

I don't like warm beverages, so I try to brew and drink things cold. I also like caffeine. So my drink reviews are based around these two axes, as well as flavor. Wisdom of the Ancients Instant Yerba Mate Tea - Brewed Cold: Brew Method (Five out of Five): I take about a half a tablespoon of the powder (that's about six servings, IE 160 some odd mgs of caffeine), drop it in a mason jar, and add water. It froths up a lot, no idea why, so waiting for that to go down before getting to fill it all the way is part of the process. If you compare this to the methods I use to coldbrew guayusa, this is absolutely nothing. Subjective Caffeine Experience (Three out of Five, if Coffee is a One): The energy I get off of this feels cleaner than coffee (IE, less of a sharp reduction in effectiveness and less suddenly tired). It definitely has that 'all my atoms are rattling' feeling you can get off of coffee, but with less of the fried brain feeling (although it still happens). There is a more noticeable comedown than with guayusa, but definitely less so than coffee. I try to sip throughout the day, but sometimes I end up with a half-jar or so by 5pm. If I drink that, I will struggle to sleep, which isn't true for guayusa. Flavor (Five out of Five): Mild, very much like green sun-tea to me, and less of that 'gasoline' smell and taste I associate with hot brewed dry leaf yerba mate. I don't add anything to this and sip it throughout the day (and as I'm writing this, even). I even like the taste more than cold-brewed yerba mate, though I couldn't tell you why. Still not as nice as some brands of guayusa. Also goes just fine in smoothies without messing up flavor to add a little morning energy. Summary - Four and a Half out of Five. I'll round up because it's still a lot better than coffee and it's lasting a long time for the price. Mild taste, not as great as some guayusa, and you have to be careful not to drink it too late, but the convenience easily makes up for this.

It's a good tasting product with good effect. That is, when taken at a dose similar to Peruvian brands, which is about 12 of the label doses! The label value of 1/4 teaspoon isn't realistic unless you want something quite watered down and far below the concentration of real yerba mate tea. From the reviews, some people do like exactly that, so fair enough. However if you want the strength of real yerba mate tea, expect to go through this by the tablespoon, not by the quarter-teaspoon (less than half a gram.) Also worth noting is that while the company writeup doesn't include a statement about caffeine, somebody posted an answer stating the caffeine content they were told by the company. I wanted to know for myself and so extracted the caffeine from 10 grams of the instant tea and weighed it. It comes to only 18.3 mg per gram, which is about 1/3 as much as in the person's reply. That gives a significant amount of caffeine if taking by the tablespoon, but hardly anything if using the recommended amount, which is less than half a gram of powder!

I log my instant mate. I gave up drinking sodas because this tea is so flavorful, it is my all time favorite drink.

I don’t go a day without drinking this. I’ve drank it for probably about 3 years now. Makes me feel great, so many health benefits. So good and smooth and makes so many servings, last me about 3 months. You can mix it in hot or cold water. It’s awesome and great for traveling too. Just can’t say enough about it.

First time trying and I wasn't sure what to expect. did 1/2 tsp to about 10oz cold water. Added a dropper of sweet leaf stevia toffee flavor and poured over ice. Taste so much like sweet tea and being from Tennessee, sweet tea is life! Now I wait to see if it messes with my tummy or if I can just drink this all day everyday, haha!

Excellent quality, been using this tea for a year now. Usually having about 3 litres of tea a day, 1 container lasts about a month. Easy to store and carry around, easy to make, tastes great. Having lived in Brazil, and tasted chimarrão and mate tea, I can tell this product is mate tea.

Great taste and easy to serve! The product itself taste great even though it's powder. I am taking it to work everyday. The flavor is fresh, and only small amount is enough for each time, so it's great value!

I like it, but let's be honest, it is more of a novelty item than a household staple. Still, I found it a worthwhile and fun experiment. Just not going to be a repeat purchase.

This tea is amazing, I love it! It makes me feel very good and alert but naturally so, unlike the jitters you get with coffee. Also very good for controlling your appetite if you are watching your weight.

Working 60hrs+ per week. Got sick of coffee/energy drinks to keep me going. You either love the taste of yerba mate or hate it. I love it!!! Just wish you could buy it in bulk. If it was £5 a jar or less, I wouldn't drink anything else!!
