Smells like cinnamon but sweet at the same time. I imagine this candle would be great for winter time and Christmas. I make sure to have this candle lit long enough so the whole top gets melted. If you don’t allow the whole top layer to melt, then YOU will create tunneling in the candle unless the wick itself is off center and that is caused by the manufacturer. One of our trilogy tall candles has a wick that is slightly off center, the candle that starts with apple basket. Such a shame that one has tunneling. I bought 4 others of that same one and those are perfectly centered. I’ve bought numerous wood wick candles and none have been damaged however less than a handful of them had smudges on the inside. One of the ellipse candles, the harvest trilogy one arrived smudged on inside and the whole wax was loose inside. It also must have la des upside down during shipping because the long wick looked bent. It was still usable. I got lucky with that as that is the worst that’s happened all my candles have arrived in great condition. None broken. This ellipse candle has been lit about 7 different times, each for about 2 hours. So far it has about a 1/2 left. The flame going down that long wick looks very pretty but it does cause the candle to be consumed faster than the other large tall candles of wood wick that are single wick. Makes sense as there is more heat put out on these. That is the downside(regardless it is lasting a good while)but the good side is the loud firey crackling sounds it makes and the beautiful look to it. Gives a great glow. I ordered about 10 ellipse candles and 1 time amazon sent me some other candle. A yankee candle 😤 I know WW is made from yankee but I’m saying I received one of the actual yankee ones with those bulky glass tops. The candle looked so old and dusty as well. Where the heck are they keeping these candles in the Amazon warehouse ? A lot of my WW ellipse candles had dusty wooden tops too. Fireside medium size- this lasted about 3 days being on almost all day. I maybe had it on for all of daylight on the three days. So it lasted long. The smell was mild but good. It wasn’t overwhelming. Perfect. If the smell was stronger it gives the impression that it may give me a headache. It’s just me I can’t tolerate fire Smokey smells that strong. This candle is great. The crackling sound was not as loud as the ellipse shaped ones. Those are way louder and I like them. That doesn’t annoy me. The ones from the medium and large candles are less lesssssss loud but still loud enough. The trilogy candle with apple basket at the top. That top layer smells identical to fresh crisp apples. Makes my mouth water. Love that smell and I wish wood wick would have an apple basket candle. I cannot describe the other two scents as I haven’t burned through to those yet. The apple basket part is lasting long now that I think about it. It’s been lit for maybe 2-3 hours for about 4 days now. These last longer than the ellipse candles because this puts out less heat therefore consuming less wax per hour. I double checked the candle and actually it has reached the spiced blackberry second level scent. It smells so yummy. Smells very nice, like a mulberry sort of smell and perhaps I’m just not very familiar of many different berry scents. Many smell similar to me and in candles they all great. Now I will look to see if wood wick has a spiced blackberry candle. It smells so good 😊 White Tea and Jasmine large candles I ordered this one thinking I’d love it because I love a scent bath and body works has I think is called White Tea and Sage. If you like that smell then you’ll sure love this white tea and Jasmine candle. 🕯️ it smells beautiful. Floraly and fresh. I like it for a nice cool spring day or for the bathroom for spa moments. It’s truly a great clean smell. Pumpkin praline large candle I’m surprised to say it smells just average nothing special about the scent. Smells like you think a pumpkin candle would smell. There are no sweet or spicy cinnamon notes to it which I think I prefer in pumpkin candles. This is plain average pumpkin scent like some of the ones bed bath and bodywork’s has. BBW has many different pumpkin scents and I wish wood wick would also have more of a variety. It’s bland. Nothing else I can say about this one. Sand and Driftwood I don’t really like the smell. Reminds me slightly of cologne but I can’t pinpoint it. It’s strong as heck because of the wide wick, which normally I don’t mind but in a candle I don’t care for of the scent, it’s not that good. I can’t describe the scent more than that. It’s a masculine smell for sure. Maybe cologne was the wrong descriptor as I was meaning to say masculine. Vanilla Bean, caramel and biscotti medium and large candle the vanilla bean smells sweet and like bakery kind of candles. I liked it so much that I ordered a few vanilla bean candles and as well as the vanilla with sea salt. I’ve always been a fan of vanilla. This vanilla sure is mixed with bakery sweet smells. I don’t really prefer bakery candles but this one is pleasant enough that it passes for me. I like it. I haven’t reached the second and third candle scent. Not yet. If I remember to update this when I do reach those I’ll try. Fireside trilogy black and gray candle medium, haven’t reached the other scents. The top scent smells like the other fireside candle I had. Smells great and not too strong. It’s a nice background smell that’s there. Strong enough to notice but not too noticeable. I have another ellipse candle and that smells so great. It’s my favorite but the smell can be overwhelming when it gets to the 2nd or 3rd hour of being lit. It’s because the ellipse shaped candles are too much for the master bedroom here. It smells so strong in that room, down the hallway, into the closest bathroom and part of the second living room. Very lightly in the second living room but many may like a candle that strong. The ellipse candles are better suited for big areas. I saw a review of a woman saying the candle has no smell. She has a large candle lit in a bit room and the candle is on tile floor right next to the corner of a chimney. That candle is not ideal for that giant space at all. No no no. She would need the ellipse or two large candles. That’s something I’ve experimented with and some areas need two or an ellipse. Smaller rooms need the medium candle or the things that melt on a warmer. However I’m not discounting that maybe her candle was defective as her review implies no scent came out of that candle. I’m assuming she brought the candle up to her nose to test if any scent is released. RENU COLLECTION Incense and Myrrh is a great candle but one I cannot describe the scent too. Kind of an herb smell but not too noticeable like herbs or seasoning. Unlike the horrible tomato basil candle of the ReNu collection. I hate that one and makes my stomach turn over. Lavender and Cypress smells like a men’s deodorant, one that reminds me of my father. I can’t remember the deodorant but it was one of those teal/clear gel deodorants. I thought I would not like the smell because I don’t want a candle that smells like his old deodorant but after it being lit and burning it turned out to be a nice smell. It was okay. Cherry blossom and vanilla smells so good. Another scent I can’t describe but smells very sweet. I have no clue how cherry blossoms smell. Yes I do pick up a floral smell but nothing like the white tea and jasmine candle. That one is way better than the cherry blossom vanilla but cherry blossom and vanilla is still a fabulous candle and am a fan of it. The currant rose candle smells unique. Quite unique. I don’t hate it. I like it a bit. Never smelled anything like it before. I do notice the rose smell in there but the other scent is more overpowering. Not saying it’s bad but just to describe which scent is stronger. I’d buy it again. It’s nice but weird. Now I did see the image of a reviewer saying she has no time to babysit the candle and her daughter had the same problems with the candle. Who babysits a candle? Next time don’t buy a big ellipse candle then. That’s with any candle that you’re supposed to let the whole top layer melt. Not everyone knows this. It’s ok to admit you were the problem. I’m not being snarky but being realistic. The only times the candle is the problem, wood wick in particular, is when the wick is off center. Then you have to babysit it if you want to care for it. I care about the $ I spend on these so I wait for a lot of melting if wick is crooked. I’ll use a tool meant to scrape the wax and let it pool with the rest and it gets fixed until the off center wick makes the problem happen again. You are supposed to let the whole layer melt. If you don’t have the time to do that with an ellipse candle then maybe don’t get one like that next time. The medium and large candles don’t need to burn for a whole hour to have the top layer melt. I’ve burned through 4 ellipse candles and they do not take an hour or more to fully melt top layer. That wick is long and puts out a lot of fire and hear. That picture the reviewer put looks like she lit that candle multiple times for 20 minutes then put it out. 30 min. Put it out. 10 min. Put it out. Back to back. Back to back. You can see so many tunneling rings around it. Poor candle it wasn’t its fault.

Woodwick candles give off a delight full crackle. This is one of the better candles of this type I have used.

I have been buying this candle for awhile now. Love this brand and this particular scent!! Highly recommend!! Each candle lasts awhile and sounds like a crackling fire as it burns. Relaxing candle scent and color! Recommend this!! I will continue to buy this.

Smells great but was unable to burn it. The wax must have been warm during shipment and had melted to one side of the jar making it so the candle couldn’t be lit. Otherwise- these candles are phenomenal!

I’ve gone through several of these now. They smell wonderful (very autumnal) and I love the way the woodwick crackles.

My wife's favorite candles are wood-wick candles. She also gets them for her grandkids at Christmas because they love the sound they make, and these smell so good!

I bought 2 of these for my living room, they have a beautiful aroma and they look good on my coffee table, can only light them 1 at a time because the aroma coming off them is sufficient for my living room, I did try lighting the 2 of them but found it a little over powering, it looks like they are going to last longer than I expected them too, I have already burned them both for at least 20 hours each and it doesn't look like they've been used that much. They make a lovely crackling sound when their lit just like an open fire makes.

... the flame is super restless even with zero draft in the room and it gives off so much smoke. Was this candle experimental - did the makers Wood Wick not try it out before selling it??? 2 stars Additional note - has been burning now for a couple of hours and it smells so good. If only the flame wasn't so restless. The crackling is very soothing in the background. I will try having the wick much smaller to mitigate the smoke out.. Really want to love this, but will see and update my review after second burn. 3 stars. Third update - The first and only burn went through a lot of the wax so its not the most economical; so this candle is for those who don't mind a restless flame and being smoked out, the trade off is the crackling sound and amazing scent. There was a funny lingering smell after extinguishing the flame. Will report back after second burn.
