I love being outside from spring to fall. Hanging out with friends, using the grill, playing with the dog or just quietly enjoying nature, but I don't like the heat direct sunlight brings. Unfortunately my back yard sanctuary is in full sun almost all day, making it hard to enjoy the great outdoors. Well no more. This outdoor canopy/gazebo is made of high quality steel with a synthetic, water repellent covering. After apologizing to your delivery driver for ordering something so large and heavy, make sure you have adequate space and preferably some help to assemble this covering. Just unpacking it you can tell its good quality and will be very sturdy. The fasteners are nicely arranged on a cardboard sheet so you only need to pull out the ones you need when you need them. It takes some time to assemble and given the weight and size of the subassemblies, having at least one person to help you is a very good idea. Make sure you are assembling it very close to its final location as it is tricky to move once fully assembled. After it's all put together, it looks great, very professional and much better than those collapsable shelters you may be familiar with. By the time my friends and I were done, it was late in the day, but we still had time to enjoy some "thank you" pizza and beverage. I decided I would take pictures the next day. Unfortunately the next morning I received a note from my home owners association (HOA) that they consider this a permanent structure and I had 24 hours to remove it. I of course complied, but in my frustration and haste (anger and resentment) I neglected to take any pictures. Bottom line: This is a well built structure that should be stable in most weather conditions even if you choose not to anchor it to the ground. It looks great and will compliment your back yard, deck or any outdoor space. But if you have an HOA, make sure they will allow you to keep it installed since it's not something you can easily assemble and disassemble just when you need it.

I really like how simple it was to follow the instructions and assemble the Yaheetech Gazebo kit. This is the 4th Yaheetech garden product I have assembled in the past 2 years, and as before, everything fit and easily assembled as per instructions. The kit is quite complete with a couple extra pieces of hardware included and supplied tools in case you don't have metric tools on hand. I used the supplied allen wrench and my own adjustable wrench instead of the thin supplied open end wrench. Assembly took about 1 hour with 2 people and a ladder. The legs are quite sturdy, however the top frame pieces are a little wobbly, which is to be expected for an entry level gazebo. Many of the pieces are spring button tubes that slide in another tube that speeds up assembly, but leads to that wobbly feel I mentioned. Overall, it was really easy and alot quicker to assemble than I expected, so I am happy about that. The only thing I am not super happy about is the fabric top, as I feel the material is thin and may not last more than a season. The stitching for the roof end pockets is single stitched and easy to tear, as we tore a couple of those pockets while stretching the fabric to fit in those pockets. I will have to update after I see how it survives the wind, as we are expected to see 40 MPH winds this afternoon. I placed mine over a raised planter where we will be growing herbs, in order to have both shade for the herb garden and a nice shady spot to escape the sun and enjoy the aroma of herbs. I do feel it is a good value for an entry level garden gazebo, that it can easily be relocated around you garden as desired. Update after a month, we have had a few windy spring days, and this morning I noticed the pockets are tearing out of the shade cover. A close inspection shows the pockets are not reinforced with thicker fabric, nor are they stitched with durable thread, and the stitching is breaking, allowing the post ends to punch thru. At this rate, I would only give the fabric a single season lifespan, so I am knocking my value rating down to 3 stars. It is not clear that a replacement shade cover is even available.

This thing is a beast! It’s solidly put together and the parts are well-crafted. The assembly is easiest if you’ve got a partner to help stabilize and help things move along much more quickly. So far the gazebo has held up well, even in windy conditions.

Nice heavy duty gazebo. I really appreciate the heft and strength of the steel columns and supports. This feels much stronger than my aluminum gazebo I was replacing. Assembly is somewhat easy considering it is all steel. And the fabric top seems to be quality. This should last a many years.

Full disclosure, I have unboxed the parts of my new gazebo and transferred them to my storeroom, but I haven't assembled it yet since I'm writing this review in February during an ice storm. This is what I do know. The box was so heavy I had to cut it open where the post person (had a cart and help) left it and take out the parts. The 2" poles are heavy duty, the canvas is thick and waterproof, and the instructions are great. Assembly will be a two or three person effort. One thing I really like is that the top and bottom cover is separated by a space instead of relying on touching parts opening only when the wind blows. Makes it better for smokeless barbeque. The hardware is all there and on a card so you don't have to sort through a pile of it, and there is a wrench. You will want to use your own. Look forward to putting it together in the park across from me and celebrating Earth Day which will be here before I know it.
