I'm a newcomer to the Ys series, but liked the look of this one, so went out on a limb and bought it. HUGE WIN... this game is incredibly fun and the soundtrack is amazing. Then there's the value-added package. This isn't a collector's edition or anything... this is the baseline packaging. The included trinkets are cool, but the big win is the CD soundtrack it comes with. Hooked on Ys now, looking forward to more!!

If you want to play Oath in Felghana on your switch, this is it. I loved Oath in Felghana, and Ys Origins (also available for Switch! Cheap digitally, not too bad physically while supplies are still out there too), and my favorite Ys game ever is Ark of Napishtem which was on the same engine. I hope Napishtem comes to Switch soon too. Movement and combat in Oath of Felghana are constant and fluid. Magic is a fast-recovering resource that you're encouraged to use freely once you obtain it. Boss fights are challenging and always involved finding the patterns - the thinking in them reminds me of Mega Man boss fights as the series progressed in some ways, always some unique element to the fight to learn. Gameplay is mostly hack-and-slash between bosses, but the pace is very quick. You don't have to grind excessively, but you can choose to grind and there are convenient areas near healing save point statues seemingly made for it, a nod to the difficulty perhaps as minor improvements to stats can bring very large payoff in terms of reducing enemy and boss damage coming in and increasing your damage going out. The overall package was really cool here, too, with a gameplay manual that reminded me of the good old days before those mostly went away, and a nice soundtrack too, and some other goodies. Neat!

This is without a doubt, one of the finest box sets I've ever purchased. From the miniature set you can put together (I left mine in the plastic sleeve) to the great music cd. Or the set of 4 hand drawn postcards, it's just amazing. It's was meticulously put together, and everything was kept safe by the way the box set itself was designed. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the Y's series, or even if you aren't. As a long time gamer, and collector. I'm happy to say the least

New to the series but I really enjoyed this game. Its a brisk 15 hours and fun throughout. There are a few difficulty spikes but nothing a bit of grinding cant fix. The sound track is great and includes the original PC 88 and X68000 OST. Graphically its pretty dated but it ran smoothly throughout the game. The action is non stop and a lot of fun. Recommended.

Very enjoyable RPG. This collectors edition has a lot of options in game, and the additions are a nice bonus.

Ys Memoire: Oath of Felghana is a trip down memory lane of old school JRPGs. For all those who don't know what Ys (ease) is, you play as a Adventurer named Adol who every game finds himself in a new setting, saving the day. Imagine Legend of Zelda but much faster pace. You fly through environments with your quick feet, fast slashing, and loads of monsters and boss fights. The Game is pretty difficult at first, but you'll learn the boss patterns, and you'll grow to love the challenge this game specifically gives. The game does also support post game content like boss rush for example, where you exclusively play only the boss fights. The music is top notch. Leaving you to humming along the games soundtrack as you play, or better yet, listening to it outside of the game through streaming services.
