I purposely waited for enough time to pass after using this product to judge it fairly. After giving it to our 11 year old border collie Bella for about 9 months, I can honestly say I’m convinced it works – at least for us! In the last year or so, Bella had developed the greenish-gray eye cloudiness often seen in older dogs. Worse, it was noticeably affecting her vision. This dog who had always been alert and keenly aware of her surroundings, was now obviously not noticing her neighborhood “friends” coming toward her on her walks. She was becoming increasingly less interested in sitting in her chair that looks out the front window because I think she just could no longer see the world going by. We pointed this out to our vet on a routine check-up and he mentioned the common eye cloudiness that older dogs get, and also the possibility of cataracts, but otherwise gave her a clean bill of health. So now the ball was in our court as to what if anything we would do about it. As a sort of “Hail Mary”, I turned to Amazon to look for any product that might offer some positive results. I settled on “Vision Bites” because of the large number of reviews, the vast majority of which were positive. But with more than a little skepticism, I ordered our first jar. After all, how much good could a dietary supplement do? As per the instructions, we started with small doses and worked our way up to one complete nugget twice a day to avoid any possible indigestion. We experienced none of that, but this dog has always had a cast iron stomach. A very few people reported that their dog wouldn’t eat them. I would encourage them to find a way disguise it in some other food to give it a chance to work. Fortunately for us, Bella never met a food she didn’t like, and she goes for these treats first on the top of her food. As previously mentioned, I had a lot of doubt about how much good could come from a dietary supplement. That is, until my wife and I recently had our routine visit with our eye doctor. She was telling us how they are seeing much fewer cases of macular degeneration than they used to. She said it is attributed to the fact that we have fresh fruits and vegetables available year round. People are eating more of them and it apparently is making a huge difference, She said anything with color has a major benefit for your vision. So in a sense, eating is seeing, and seeing is believing. So what have been the results with Bella? First of all, don’t expect any overnight miracles. I believe it was two or three weeks before I was fairly certain I could notice a slight difference. The cloudiness in her eyes was just slightly less, and she seemed to be a little more aware and confident of her surroundings, especially on our walks. This progress slowly continued to where we are today. Bella now sits in her chair again and barks or squeaks as she deems necessary, at the world going by. She gets excited when she (apparently) sees her BFF, a Golden Lab, halfway up the street. She picks up and gives the appropriate greeting to other dogs she sees on our walks from a distance of at least 500 feet. The greenish color can still be seen in her eyes in certain lighting (I think this is fairly normal for older dogs), but the cloudiness is gone. Overall, I consider this a huge improvement. I did a small internet search on these eye conditions in older dogs. There are a number of causes of the eye cloudiness; some serious, some fairly benign. I would urge everyone to check with their vet first – particularly if there was a very sudden onset of symptoms. But if the vet shrugs it off as a condition due to normal aging, I would strongly suggest that these “Vision Bites” be given a chance. I don’t know that Bella’s vision is normal, in fact I’m pretty sure it isn’t. She has for some time exhibited signs of far-sightedness (difficulty seeing things directly under her nose), but so did our last border collie. It may be peculiar to this breed, or to dogs in general. All I do know is Bella’s quality of life is better now than when we started this regimen, and I’ll take that in a heart beat every time!

Hard to tell if they are making a difference but my dog loves them and his glaucoma in his other eye hasn’t developed with these and daily medicated eye drops

My little fur baby, a Maltese, is now 14 years old. Thanks to this brand of vitamins, he still runs and plays and feels like he is 9 years old. This is really the only brand of vitamins I buy for my fur babies. My little fur baby's eyes sometimes turn a little white, but I give him this vitamin right away and they go back to their natural black color. This is the best thing I have found for my fur babies.

To start my fur baby is not overly picky. Every once in a while she will snub something especially if it is good for her like eggs or blueberries, carrots or sweet potatoes. These she loves she will site pretty and wait for her zesty paw vision bites. I haven’t seen a change but she is 9y and her eyes have not gotten worse. I also do a multivitamin in the some brand and she loves that one too!

It made my dog sick. I tried it three separate times and each time, she became very lethargic and had trouble standing up.
