I like this much better than the hammock type. My dog likes to be able to stand up when we stop. I also have one that is just for one seat rather than the whole backseat, but she jumps out of it, even though she is leashed in. This is so much better.

We travel around quite a bit, towing our camper and spending lots of time with our dogs. They’re not big dogs, and they don’t make much mess, but I’m always thinking about them and ways to make their travel time more comfortable, just as much as I think about it for my wifey and I. When I came across this anngrowy XL Dog Seat Extender, at first, I thought it’d be kind of overkill for us, but after wifey and I installed it, and saw all the features, and how it was built, and how it fits, and the overall quality, and the really nice storage bag that comes with it, we now think it’s pretty awesome. It’s pretty easy to get it all put together and installed the first time, and it’s only going to take like 3-5 minutes from now on. The main thing is shoving the structural panels into pockets that make up the floor of the whole thing, just take your time, they fit fine. I still don’t know if the big part or the smaller flap should go in first, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it really doesn’t matter, so do whatever makes sense to you. There are 3 straps included loose in the package. The two with clips on each end are to hook onto your hanger hooks over your doors to hold up the sides, so go ahead and clip those on to the clip rings on each side, then simply drape the strap through your coat hanger and adjust the length however you like. The other strap is a seatbelt hookup for your dog. I couldn’t find a hole in the material anywhere to stick one through to reach a seatbelt plug, but that’s easily fixed with a knife or scissors. I think the main reason that we like this so much is because of the considerably larger area that it creates for the dogs to get comfy in and also because It may provide a little more safety for the pups in minor incidences. There’s a lot to like here, from the durability and cleanability to the material itself, to the big, huge area that’s just for pups now. I think you’ll find reasons to like it too. Anyway, I hope this helps you in some little way, and I hope something Great happens for you today!

This is great for protecting your backseat from pet fur and it’s great for extending your backseat so your pet can comfortably fit back there. We love this for when we travel with our pets because we always pack their big ol beds for them to rest on in the backseat but because the beds were bigger than the seats, we always had to find stuff to put in the gap between the backseat and the front seat so the beds didn’t dip down. This fixes that problem so well. This one isn’t the sleekest one I’ve had but it’s nice and has protected my seat. Bonus points for it coming with a carrying base so keep it stored away neatly when not in use. This is great and easy to put in the car. Definitely happy with this.
