I loved my ECOZY cube ice maker, so I was excited to try the nugget one when it came out! Packaging is always great. Out of the box it was an easy setup. Clear instructions and easy buttons/functions. It's compact so it doesn't take up too much counter space. Drains easily, has self cleaning mode which is awesome! It's a little louder than my cube ice maker but nothing you can't deal with when doing normal daily tasks. The storage section isn't cooled so the ice will melt if you don't take it out to use or freeze (like most ice makers). I don't run it at night for that reason so the sound doesn't bother me. The cubes aren't round like I expected. You can see in the pictures they have flat sides and are like tiny cubes. Still soft enough for crunching but hard enough that they don't melt in a drink nearly as fast as I expected. Especially if you use it with something that's already cold. I've put it in my smoothies to make them "frozen" smoothies and it crushes in the blender nicely! Now that it's been in use for a while, it does produce more quickly than the initial start up which I attached pictures of. Overall I'm really happy with it. I will say sometimes the ice stacks up in the middle and triggers the full sensor so I have to knock it down so it'll start running again. There's really no way around that and it's not an issue in my opinion. I'm not a nugget ice person myself but my daughter is and she was a fan. I was impressed with how long it stays frozen in my drinks though so it won me over. Those of you that like to crunch your nugget ice, I highly recommend it! Great value for the price point, and their customer service is wonderful. I had to contact them about something for my previous cube ice maker and they were fast to respond and very quick to ship what I needed! 5 stars from this "non nugget lover"!

The ice that it makes was wonderful. Worked great for a few weeks, maybe a month, and then started making a loud clicking noise like a gear was skipping. Ordered replacement through Amazon and now the hassle to return such a bulky item. The second one lasted maybe two weeks, and then started to make a loud screeching noise noise somebody stepped on the tail of a cat, except for they didn’t let go and it kept going until you got up and turned it off. If you forgot to turn it off before you went to bed and made this noise, you would have to get up out of bed And go turn it off because it was so loud. Now I have to return another one and Amazon simply refunded my money for the hassle.

Totally hooked nugget ice! Before buying my first nugget ice machine my girlfriend would have me driving to Sonic for a jumbo cup of chewable ice, or if she saw my location was near a Sonic i would receive a text asking to stop on my way home! This is actually my 3rd machine, I took one as a gift to my family in the Caribbean where it seems to always be a heatwave and they love it. And the machine this one replaces will be gifted to my brother. FIRST IMPRESSION: Opening the box the machine is well packaged and super easy to assemble. The included handle also makes the machine easy to move around. It’s small enough and light enough to take with you, which I have done several times when spending an afternoon visiting friends and family. Ice production is also very quick and literally will be cranking out fantastic nugget ice within 15 minutes of filling the water reservoir and powering on. The stainless steel exterior has a thin protective plastic that you must remove and I recommend for the first use that you fill the water tank and run the “Cleaning’ cycle for about 10 minutes. Just hold the ‘power button’ for a few seconds to enable the cleaning cycle. SIZE: The machine is easy portable, and has a small footprint taking up very little counter space. I definitely like that the power cord is long enough so that I can place the machine where I want, versus having a short cord dictating countertop placement. OPERATION- Could not be simpler. Just fill the reservoir with water and turn the machine on. You do need to occasionally use the included ice scoop to distribute the ice and clear any backup that could trigger the bin full sensor. We use our machine all day so this is not a problem since we are constantly scooping ice into a glass throughout the day. I found that a large measuring cup works well for filling the machine and have it marked at exactly the right level to fill my ice maker once the low water indicator light turns on. MAINTENANCE: I have not had this machine long enough to require cleaning, other than the quick ‘rinse’ I did prior to initial use. I highly recommend following the manufacturer instructions for cleaning/descaling using vinegar and water and then running the cleaning cycle for about 15 minutes. If you own an espresso machine or drip coffee machine with a water reservoir then you should already be familiar with this simple process. After cleaning, no need to tip the machine for draining. There is a rubber plug on the bottom that is conveniently positioned where you can extend the machine just slightly over the sink for easy draining. SUPPORT: I have not experienced any issues with this machine. But, with my older eCozy machine I experienced a problem that required eCozy support. I cannot say enough about how amazing the product support was! I was given some simple troubleshooting steps and responded back to let eCozy know that this didn’t resolve the problem. Without hesitation, they shipped a replacement machine and even followed up to ensure everything was working and I was satisfied. From a brand loyalty perspective, this company has totally earned my business and when asked about my machine I make it a point to recommend eCozy, a company that actually stands behind their product.

This thing is louder than my refrigerator but it makes ices. I can see where others complain about slush but it’s because the clear basket is a bad design. The ice forms into an ice water-fall and stops making more ice. The ice that’s made isn’t insulated well so it just melts and more ice is made getting stuck in the “ice fall”. Does it make ice, yes. Does melt quickly, sometimes. Is it loud, yes. Is it worth the price, absolutely.

I really do love the ice made by this ice machine. It makes ice pretty quickly, it makes my favorite kind of ice, and it works pretty well. There are some downsides which I have listed below. Pros: * The ice is great--it is great for drinks and fun to chew. * It makes a lot of ice daily. * It's somewhat portable. Cons: * It's only somewhat portable. It's heavy and the handle they give is too weak to hold it up, but it's light enough to carry without the handle. * It's LOUD. I can hear the fan running all around the house, and it's not a small house. * It needs to be babysat. The ice piles up so that you have to move it around so that more ice can be made, even though there is a lot more space for ice. (There's even a little sticker on the top that warns that you will probably have to stir once or more an hour to keep the ice flowing.)
