We’ve purchased 5-6 nugget ice machines over the years and just assumed they all had the same design flaw where calcium build-up would cause that awful screeching sound! I even became experience tearing down our last two units and physically and chemically descaling them. First, this unit has a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) sensor, which is a brilliant idea. It immediately told us our tap AND filtered water has a very high rating. We have been buying distilled water. Second, previous brands/styles had an internal reservoir that was only accessible by disassembling the machine. That reservoir gets gross within just a few months. This unit has a reservoir that is accessible in the back and easy to clean. Spend just a bit more. You’ll love this machine!

This is the best ice maker I’ve had. It makes ice rapidly and I can turn it on through the app on my phone. The ice maker will shut off once the ice gets to a certain point. I empty mine in a ziplock bag and put it in the freezer. Ice isn’t sticky in the ice maker but one you put it in the freezer it will stick together . Just break it apart. I’m happy my purchase 😊😊

So far I really like this ice machine. I just wish it had a bigger basket to catch the ice. I had another brand of ice machine which lasted less than a year and the company replaced it only to have the replacement stop working just outside of the warranty. This machine seems to be made a lot better and the display really helps keep an eye on things.

This is a nice machine, and it makes crunchy nugget ice, but not “Sonic” ice. This is really being picky, perhaps, but if it Is important for you to get the soft chewy crunch very similar to what you get at Sonic, this machine is a little bit off the mark. The app connects easily and works well. The appearance is nice; however, whether you view the colorful control panel as a nice touch or a little too much attention grabbing may depend on your taste. I really like the TDS sensor, but the number the ice maker was displaying was considerably different than the tester I purchased to measure our tap water. I am not sure which one was off, and I have not run any kind of calibration test, but at least with this machine, you have something with which you can compare one water source to another. The unit makes nice, clear ice quickly and the ice stayed in the bin for quite a while (seems to be pretty well insulated). The bin is a little bit on the small side, but big enough to get the job done. The water reservoir is not very big, and there is no option to add additional capacity, but again, it does the job and refilling is very easy. The good part about that is that it doesn’t take up too much space on the counter top, and it fits easily under standard cabinets. One review said that this ice maker does not recycle the water from the melted ice, but it does in fact do so. The unit is reasonably quiet, but you will know that it is running when it is making ice - it is not whisper quiet, but I wouldn’t expect it to be. This machine is priced lower than some and seems to be a quality product, it just doesn’t make the type of ice I was trying to get. I returned this ice maker and bought another one made (marketed) by a very large US corporation, and it makes ‘softer’ ice, more like the “Sonic” ice I wanted.

We have been using this ice maker for a little over a month now and I’ve been very impressed with it, in fact it has been my favorite ice maker we’ve owned and this our third one. First off I have to say I REALLY like the look of this machine! It has a classier look to it than the one we previously owned and we’ve had friends comment on its look also. It has a blue light you can turn on and see how much ice is inside without having to open it, which obviously isn’t a necessity, but is a nice feature and my kids sure think it looks cool! It makes the perfect pebble soft ice if you are an ice chewer. I also like the way the ice is fully enclosed inside the machine and not just a lid over the top because I feel like it keeps the ice colder so it doesn’t melt as quickly. My favorite thing about this machine is the way the ice is dropped it doesn’t build up a wall and set off the ice full sensor when it is not, our previous two machines both did that and could be frustrating at times. Another feature that has been a nice bonus is the smart feature. I can turn it on and off from my phone or Alexa and it will notify my phone when the machine is out of water or the ice is full, it even notified me once that the TDS level was high, which I had to look up what that meant, but was great to know! I have been extremely happy with the purchase of this ice maker and recommend it to anyone looking!

I wanted to love this ice maker so much, but it falls short every time, I’ve had 2 of these ice makers now and I’ve had to return both the first machine had a issue with the self cleaning. I contacted support and they sent me a new one then the new one I got had a very loud sound issue. I contacted them again and they told me to buy a new one, and at that point, I have had enough for the price point. I should not be running into these issues so early and so frequently, but if you can get past the loud noises. and the self cleaning issues there’s actually a great product here it makes ice fast. The ice stays full and cold. It has a very nice design. I love the app control, and Alexa features it does come with a very cheaply made scooper, but other than that, I’m afraid I can’t recommend this ice machine

So far so good! Our other ice machine just died after 3 years! Machine work well and makes perfect ice! Ease of use is a no brainer too! When it kick on and is making ice and can be a bit loud but it’s temporary and not constant sound!

I got this ice maker as a fast ice option for when were hosting parties instead of having to rely on our fridge ice machine which can run out before the party is done. I appreciate that these two different ice sizes (small & large) as it can create the smaller ones in less time than the larger, which for party drinks you don't want as large of cubes to dilute your drinks. I do find that the ice machine is a little noisy on the kitchen counter if you don't have any ambient noise going on but during a party with music playing this will easily be drowned out. The ice is meant to be consumed pretty quickly as it doesn't provide any refrigeration but it is made with insulation in mind to help reduce how quickly the ice melts after it's made. Even if it does melt the water just goes back into the reservoir to be made back into ice. The one thing I have noticed though which seems to be inconsistent based on other photos is my ice maker seems to fill either too much water or the tray is a little higher and it causes all the ice pellets to freeze together with a little line across them all. When the ice tray is empty the distance for it to fall is enough to cause them to snap apart, but if the ice tray is nearly full its not enough to break them apart so you get large ice chunks. Still I think this is a great option for people who are hosting parties and want to have ice on hand for your guests. It's been something we've had compliments from our guests for just being one of those extra nice touches.

Click to play video We live in an old condo apartment with an older fridge that doesn't have an icemaker. For a while, we relied only on ice moulds which took up so much freezer space, and was hard to maintain. Both my husband and I go through a lot of ice for our drinks such as coffee and water, so you could imagine how hard it was to rely solely on ice moulds. My firstmost concern with icemakers such as this Ecozy machine, was probably the real estate. We have limited counterspace, so I was worried it would take up a lot of space. But I must have imagined it to be a lot larger, because in person it was quite a reasonable size that wasn't an eyesore on the counter. This Ecozy machine was such a gamechanger for us. it was incredibly easy to set up from the beginning, putting in water and draining is a very simple and easy process, and getting the machine to start making ice only required a simple press of a button. It was pretty fascinating to watch the ice being made from the inside of the machine. It's crazy how fast these machines make the ice. in just an hour or two, we had a full bowl of ice that we could just keep in the freezer. The only downside is that the ice does not stay frozen once they release from the rods. They will start melting if kept in the machine basket for a prolonged period of time. What the machine does is, it continues making more ice with the melted water that came from that basket. If you are expecting to have fresh and full ice cubes for your drinks, just know that a good half of them may be half melted already. The only way to prevent that is to try and put them in the freezer as soon as it releases from the rod. Even though there are some extra steps to take with the ice maker, I am still very glad to have this machine to make our life easier than what we had before. Everyone's situations may be different, but this machine allowed us to have ice at our disposal on a daily basis, and this machine does its job very well. it is a high quality product at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this ice maker!

Click to play video I don't have a fridge with an ice maker, and making ice can be a bother if I have to use trays, especially when there's no room in the freezer. I enjoy camping and traveling, I was very interested when I saw this compact and great-looking machine. I show the Ice maker in my video! At first, I wasn't sure about this machine, I assumed it might be thermoelectric technology without a compressor, but once I picked up the box and heard the compressor rattle I was excited! After opening and inspecting the unit is well-designed, compact, and looks modern. It is well made with a long heavy three-prong cord, soft feet on the bottom, and is relatively lightweight. The unit comes with an ice basket, scoop, manual, stickers, and bags for storing ice. Setting up the unit takes no effort, I wiped out the unit a few times and washed the basket as it suggests doing. After filling and plugging in, with a click of the power button the machine starts, it's very quiet only the fan can be heard which I don't mind at all. I monitored the process, at first when the water wasn't cold the first batch of ice cubes was not very thick but after the second dump of ice into the basket the cubes got much thicker. At first, the temperature of the water makes a difference, but after a few dumps, the ice comes out large every time! I noticed the machine makes a load of ice every 8 minutes, it will fill the entire basket in under an hour and turns off automatically when full. I was very impressed with its ice production exceeding my expectations, also the Ice will stay frozen for many hours in the machine. When done making Ice there is a drain plug on the bottom, pull it out over a sink and it is ready for storing. In conclusion, I love this awesome little Ice machine, it works well and doesn't take up much room on the counter. I'm impressed at how fast it can make Ice and it's very efficient only using about 1.5 Amps. I'm planning on using this ice maker a lot in the spring and summer, I think it's a great machine to take while camping or even in hotels that don't have a working ice machine, the ice can be used for drinks or kept in a bag for coolers. This Ice maker will be a game changer this summer so I'm giving the ecozy Ice Machine 5 Stars.
