I absolutely love this ice maker, because it makes the perfect "slushy" type of ice. My fridge makes square cubes of ice that are big and hard to eat. This little ice maker makes pellet type of ice that is perfect for drinks and makes them into a slushy type of drink. I love to eat ice so this thing is perfect for me. Make sure you read the instructions, but you will want to make sure before using the machine that it stood upright for at least two hours. This allows the liquid for the motor to settle at the bottom of the machine where it needs to be. I did run the machine first before using any of the ice as it helps to make sure all the internal parts are clean. Once that cycled completed, I wiped everything down on the inside and filled with bottled water. The machine only took about 10 minutes, and it was producing ice. Usually, I just let the machine run until it's out of water and then bag up (included) the ice to put in my freeze to use for later. The ice maker does make some noise when running but it is not intrusive or bothersome. The machine does get warm and does need to push hot air out of the sides. So make sure you provide it with adequate air flow to not overheat the ice maker. Cleaning is a breeze, fill with some water and white vinegar and hold the start button for 15 seconds. This starts the self-cleaning cycle and will run for about 15 minutes. Once completed hold the unit over a sink and pull the rubber plug on the bottom to drain the water. I usually will wipe it down to help dry the machine and leave it sitting out and open over night to fully dry. You can also pop the lid off to clean the water channels as well. The ice maker is not light but can easily be carried around by the included handle. The machine seems to be very well built and should be pretty durable. My plan is to use this at home for drinks but also take it with us on our RV to be able to produce an abundance of ice compared to using the water trays you put in the freezer. I really wish I would have purchased one of these sooner at it really is a game changer for my drinks. I practically use this every day for iced coffee, water, or cocktails. If you like to eat ice or have slushy type drinks, you will love the ease and simplicity of this ice maker.

This is my first countertop ice maker so I'm mostly a bit amazed at how, as advertised, a small machine pumps out ice bullets without too much drama! It's great to have handfuls of ice seemingly ready all the time. But I was disappointed to see how this machine — and perhaps others like it — aren't freezers, exactly. The ice is meant to be used immediately or stored in a real freezer. It's not quite cold enough to just sit on the countertop waiting. The ice is very wet. Perfectly fine if you want some for a glass of water, but if you're storing ice in a basket or tub in your freezer, it will harden into a single frozen mass. Keep a metal spoon or ice pick handy! In terms of noise, I was actually a little shocked at how loud this one is. Louder than my full-size fridge/freezer, certainly (but not quite as loud as my washer/dryer, for what that's worth). While the sound of ice plunking into the container isn't unpleasant per se, I choose to switch this off when I sleep because of the noise coming from the other room. Most of these notes are probably common to any ice maker. If you have a large family who eats lots of ice continually, and if you sleep on another floor with better sound insulation, this will be absolutely fine.

Review Update. When I received the ice-maker and it didn't work, I spent some time trying to get it to make ice and then gave up and returned it and left a negative review. Within days - ECozy contacted me and quickly sent a replacement item free of charge. I'm happy to report that this item does indeed work and lives up to my original expectations. In the world of mass produced items, we are quite used to having the occasional failure - which is usually returned or disposed of with rarely a response from the manufacturer. ECozy is the exception to this rule. They really stand behind their product and go to extra ordinary effort to make sure their customers are happy. I've therefore revised my review to 5 Stars. Original Review >>>>>I read all the reviews and decided that this was one of the better ice makers available. It wasn't available in Canada so I purchased one on a trip to the US. I made the mistake of not testing it before I returned and discovered it was non-functioning when I arrived home. The machine would go through all of the motions, but the tubes the ice formed on never got cold. I tried contacting the vendor who was quick to respond, but they had no ideas other than leaving it running for longer periods and making sure the water was cold etc. I pushed them for some additional ideas on how to repair it, that turned into them wanting me to send them videos of the machine not working. I gave up and returned it to Amazon at significant cost and will buy another unit here from a different manufacturer.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and wasn't getting enough water in my system because I'd have to go downstairs often to get ice and water, and for someone with MS and similar diseases, I didn't go down as often as I should because of the fatigue and pain. I have this little guy up stairs and that alone raised my drinking of cold water. The ice cubes are empty on the inside of an otherwise solid piece of ice, which does make it work fast. I fill the little basket with ice cubes (takes a few cycles of making them) and use most of the ice in a 16 oz cup, and then use "cold" water from our tap (we have good water in this area), and I end up with some of the ice melting from the water while still leaving some ice, which makes the perfect glass of water, esp since I drink kind of slow but my main water cup is stainless steel and double walled so that lasts until I need more. This is an investment in my health (partially regulates blood pressure too by thinning of the blood with water, so what I paid for it, especially in this heat, was worth every penny, and it does work well

The Ecozy Portable Ice Maker is one of my favorite purchases of all time. It makes bullet shaped ice, which I wasn't sure if I'd like, but I have to say I don't notice much of a difference between bullets and cubes. I've been trying to get away from drinking soda and I don't like water unless it's ice cold, so I got this for my office. I'm almost total off from soda now and drink a lot of water instead. Setup is pretty easy, just fill it up to the max line, turn on the auto clean and it does it's thing in about a half hour. Pull the drain plug out over the sink to drain the water out, then rinse it out and put the plug back in the drain hole and it's ready to go. To use, fill it to the max line and drop the ice basket in. Turn it on and it starts pumping water into the ice making trough. Every 10-12 minutes it drops another batch of ice. The ice maker is insulated so the ice doesn't melt too fast but as it melts the water just flows into the reservoir to be made into ice again. Word of warning, if the ice basket is full of ice and you fill the reservoir to the max line, the bottom of the ice basket will be sitting in the water so the ice melts faster. When all the ice melts, it will be well above the max fill line, however it doesn't seem to effect the performance other than it will need to make ice more often to keep the basket full. The noise level is very acceptable, when it's cooling there is the sound of the fan which is less than the fans on my computer so I don't notice it. The only real noise that comes from it is when the ice drops into the basket. One thing I did not like it the plastic ice scoop. It's almost too big, I'd estimate it's a 6oz scoop and it's too long to fit in the basket. I purchased a 3oz metal scoop and a magnetic hook to put on the side of the ice maker, and it works much better.

We purchased our ice marker in September 2024 and loved it and had 0 issues. One day we woke up and the ice marker just stopped working completely. Could of been an electrical issue with our outlet? (We're not sure) No ice were being formed. We reached out to customer service through their Facebook. They gave advice on how to fix but unfortunately it still didn't work. They were lovely enough to replace a new one for us free of charge! Sent one within the week. Couldn't thank them enough for such great service. Highly recommend.

Makes the perfect sized ice cubes and the water tank capacity is large enough that I’m not needing to refill often. my only concern is if your not taking the ice it melts as there is no cooling in the front of the machine.. so the cubes just melt away and recycle. This means the machine is running all the time. Overall a great machine not too noisy and was absolutely perfect for our Christmas gathering!
