We already have a vacuum/mop combo robot from Tuvacs. However, we have to make sure the cables are out of the way, and the doors are secured so the robot doesn't get tangled or trapped behind doors. When I saw Eufy's new Zero-Tangling combo robot, I had to give it a try. So far, I am impressed. The E28 uses AI and machine vision to map out objects on the floor, such as cables, and navigates around them. This technology allows it to effectively avoid common household obstacles that would ensnare other robots. The suction effectively picked up everyday dirt and debris, and the mopping left the floors damp but not soaked, and they dried quickly. Unlike our older Tuvacs, it didn't leave any water on the floor as it enters and exits the docking station. I did observe one slightly annoying behavior. After it finished mapping the floor, I wasn't able to get it to enter an area it considered a no-go zone during the mapping process. An office chair was in the way during that time. After the chair was removed, I wasn't able to get the robot to go beyond the mapped area initially. It eventually remapped and cleaned the area on its own, but I wasn't able to get it to go beyond the boundary before the map was updated. Pros: * Lighting-fast mapping of the rooms. It didn't have to go deep into all corners of the floor to produce a very detailed initial map of the floor. It then refined the map as it did the actual work. * Very clean entry/exit of the docking station. * Very easy to set up. I was able to get the E28 up and running in just a few minutes. * Obstacle avoidance is great. We no longer need to baby the robot. * Uses very little water. The floor looks and feels clean, so the mopping is adequate. * The slimmer, rectangular shape allows it to go through narrower openings, compared to the larger, conventional circular shape of other robots. * The dust bag needs to be replaced periodically. Cons: * The water tank's refill hole is small, making it somewhat difficult to fill without spilling. * Can't get the robot to update its map in real time, or to temporarily override to clean a zone that's previously obstructed. Hopefully a later firmware update would make improvement in this area. I got the E28 so we can use the robot more freely and frequently without needing to do a lot of prep work. It definitely delivered on that and more!

We've tested several vacs over the years and a few vac / mop combo's and this is the best unit we've tried so far. Pros: The overall size is quite compact. The vac unit itself is small, quiet yet has powerful suction - best ever. The base unit is also compact considering that it contains a disposal bag, fresh water and discharge tanks - PLUS has a detachable hand unit for spot cleaning. Just Amazing. The mapping is incredibly accurate. The first run through it not only mapped the entire down stairs but it correctly segmented and even labeled all the rooms accurately (kitchen, bathroom, dining room...) - impressive. It also identified where all the area rugs are located. Cleaning is fantastic. This is the first vac we've had that cleans the inside corners completely. Programing is fairly straight forward and you can set different suction levels, mop options and room selections. Cons: I'll be honest, there are not any complaints at this time. The Wi-Fi set up was straight forward but took a bit longer than I would have expected. Also the software required an update right away and even though it completed, I had to restart the app to finish which was odd. Overall: This is our new standard. We have it down stairs and it keeps the entire floor super clean. We are going to retire the previous vac/mop which we've used for a few years now, probably give it to our son for his house. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Click to play video I was waiting for this vacuum to solve some issues people mentioned about the S1 pro about edge cleaning but it did not help with my scenario. As you can see in the images and video, the dual rotating brushes do a great job in the edges and corners, but only if you don't have height issues. For my kitchen i have toe kicks and due to that the entire kitchen edges are not getting cleaned. The vacuum barely fits if it goes under the toe kicks only on the sides but will not fit if you consider the center round lidar sensor. i had a dreame x50 where the lidar was supposed to go inside but still did not work in my case even if i had the "low clearance mode" activated. the saros 10r worked as i tried it after this eufy e28 for kitchen toe kicks. i wondered what is the difference between this e28 vacuum and the dreame x50 or the eufy omni s1 pro as they are much more expensive. i did not use the omni s1 pro but comparing this with dreame x50 and my observations. 1) The clean water tank is smaller compared to dreame x50, so more changes of fresh water may be required. upon using it 2 times i don't see much water depleted. may be it optimizes water better than x50 2) dreame app had more features in the app compared to eufy e28. dreame x50 shows pictures of obstacles where as this just estimates what the obstacle may be. 3) eufy e28 has 2 brushes and goes much closer to the edges and corners may be because of square design and one extending brush. it's better than other vacuums 4) navigation and room identification and mapping is similar so not a big deal 5) Sound of vacuum is lower in e28. but after vacuum is done, it has much higher disturbing noise couple of times for a brief time when sucking the dirt to the vacuum and cleaning brush 6) the mop style of e28 which is rotating roller brush is a hit and miss in my opinion even if it does not go all the way to the edges. however i am okay with other mop style of dreame x50 and lite mopping is what i need. downside is that it is more prone to getting stuck. my cloth doormat got stuck and eufy e28 dragged the doormat across the room because it got stuck in the roller and then stopped. 7) e28 had some issues with furniture legs which are on the floor. i thought it got stuck but eventually became unstuck. also another place with hula hoops and with a back where e28 got stuck and i had to manually remove it. so this is more prone to getting stuck with obstacles compared to other premium vacuums. 8) follow feature on e28 seems nice which follows you in case you need a spot cleaning somewhere. 9) the high end omni has a option of auto refill and drain kit which you can connect to water pipes and drain. but this one does not have that option at all. not sure if aftermarket parts can be made available at all due to the kind of design where the entire bin is taken out rather than taking out the bin by opening a top cover like the dreame x50 10) does not show which area was dirty etc. my 8 year roomba had this feature 11) Other premium features like go to spot via phone app, navigate and use roomba as camera+mic to talk to people, are not availabe as this is supposed to be a lower priced vacuum. also the lidar on top is also due to the lower price unlike eufy omni vacuums which are slimmer and can do better in low clearance zones. as the title says. it is great vacuum for many given the price, but not for many who need kitchen and low height spaces cleaned.

Click to play video This is an excellent robot vacuum cleaner. Now, my last experience was with a shark self-emptying vacuum cleaner a few years back, so I was never familiar with the high-end class of robot vacuums; but as a first foray into them, I was thoroughly impressed. First off is setup. It's remarkably simple to set up, put all the pieces together, scan the QR code for a link to the app (and manual), and start the app. It took about 2 minutes from scanning the QR code to having the vacuum paired to the app. From there it's simple to start the mapping process, which took an astoundingly short time; my shark took.... honestly I lost track of how long it took and the map it created was haphazard and incorrect at best. This took maybe 10 minutes and had accurately mapped the entire floor and sectioned things into rooms. Now, you can further section things yourself in the app to customize your floor map even further, and it's very easy to do. Filling the water tank is a cinch as it simply pulls off and has a small flap that opens to fill it. Next for the design. It's a lot of little things that end up making a big difference. First is the design of the water tanks. Many tank designs utilize a gasket seal in a hole on the bottom of the tank to hold water and release it into the machine. It's functional, but a break in the gasket seal, either due to wear and tear or some piece of debris will lead to a catastrophic failure and spill of water everywhere. This design prevents that entirely, by using a gasket and suction to link the water reservoir to the rest of the machine, placing the interface of gasket and reservoir above the max level of water in the reservoir. The dirty water tank operate similarly, with the pump dumping water into the top portion of the tank instead of coming through the bottom, preventing leaks that way. In addition, notification of whether the back tank is full or not is achieve with a magnetic float valve; the float itself has a magnet embeded inside of it, which will trigger another sensor in the main body of the vacuum housing. There are such magnetic switches located throughout the vacuum, from filters to floats, to ensure adequate monitoring of what pieces are and aren't there, as well as if anything is amiss or misplaced. Everything seems well thought out and designed. Functionally, it's also great. While it's vacuuming/mopping the floor it's reasoanbly quiet. It leaves a very thin film of water/cleaning solution when mopping which dries in under a minute; I included a video of it mopping to show what the floor looks like post-mop. Vacuum-wise it works well also. It's reasonably quiet during function, though it is quite loud when emptying the robot vacuum into the vacuum housing; it's a little louder than my dyson V8 on high during that brief 10 second period. To test the vacuum (in addition to its usual cleaning routines, which I am quite happy with) I scattered a line of crumbs across the hallway from one side to the other, to see if it would successfully pick up all the crumbs, even along the sides where it would have to rely on the spinning brushes to sweep them into the path of the vacuum. My Shark also had these but they ended up just flinging things everywhere, often into areas it had already cleaned, and thus wouldn't pick up as much. This one does not have that problem, and I did not find any crumbs where they were originally located, or anywhere around the area. I included a before/after picture of that as well. I've never had any pathing or stuck problems, despite the fact I have some terrain that would have caused many other robot vacuums I've had to get stuck before. Most notably my coffee table. It has arched sides that only allow entry/egress through a very small portion of the sides. Normally my other vaccums might find their way in, but would promptly get stuck 90% of the time under the coffee table. Whatever system this robot uses to navigate has meant it has never gotten stuck under there through multiple cleans, which to me is very impressive. The one thing to note about the vacuum/mop is that when finished mopping, it takes quite a while (at least 20 minutes, as I had to go before it was finished) to clean and dry the mop head before the vacuum is available to do anything else. The app will notify you of progress in the upper left corner under the robot vacuum name. In terms of placement the instructions request a rather generous clutter/furniture free zone around the base. I have not given it anywhere near the requested space just to see if it works; and it absolutely does. Tucked under a rolling table it's hidden away but still finds its home base just fine. Overall, this is the first of the really high-end robot vacuum cleaners I've ever had, and I am thoroughly impressed. Yes, it cost 3 times as much as my last foray into robot vacuums did, but honestly.... I can see why. The engineering and functionality is so far above my previous robot vacuums they aren't even in the same league. And considering plenty of people buy $800 dysons..... this suddenly doesn't feel like such a preposterous buy anymore.

Not only is this eufy E28 Omni Robot Vacuum a great vacuum with outstanding cleaning abilities, it comes with a detachable, portable deep cleaner that can be removed from the base station, allowing you to clean spills and messes on furniture, carpets, stairs and other surfaces. The vacuum has 20,000 Pa of suction power and features retractable DuoSpiral roller brushes that are designed to prevent hair entanglement and help remove dust, dirt and hair that's buried deep in your carpets. It uses a combination of LiDAR and an AI-assisted camera and can recognize and avoid obstacles and adapt its cleaning to 30 different kinds of dirt. After a cleaning session it can even perform a dirt inspection using the camera to ensure no areas were missed. There's a "CornerRover Arm" on the right side that extends to clean deep into corners and along edges so you never have any dust bunnies left over that you have to go back and vacuum up yourself. The HydroJet self-cleaning roller mop has a double scraper that can self-clean the mop roller 360 times per minute so that it's always clean and not spreading dirt across your floors. The roller mop provides 15 Newtons of downward pressure (about 3.3 pounds) that mimics hand scrubbing so your floors come out looking spotless. The roller mop will lift automatically when it encounters a carpet so you don't have to worry about it getting your carpet wet. Using the eufy Clean App you can program custom cleaning routines for specific rooms and times of day, or specify no-go zones for areas of your home that the vacuum should avoid entirely. The vacuum also features voice control and can be used with Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Siri. The 5200mAh battery can provide up to 110 minutes of cleaning time when it's used in vacuuming and mopping mode, and up to 180 minutes of cleaning time in vacuum only mode. It has a Recharge and Resume function so it will automatically resume cleaning from where it left off if it has to return to the base station to recharge while it's in the middle of a cleaning routine. The really innovative feature of this robot vac is the removable portable deep cleaner. It has a multi-function brush head attached to a 6 foot long flexible hose and a long 10 foot power cord so you can reach pretty much anyplace in your home. The brush head is not powered so it relies on manual pressure and scrubbing to remove stains. The handle has two buttons, the long button sprays clean water to help loosen a spill or stain that you can then vacuum up. The smaller round button runs a clean cycle that helps remove any dirty water from inside the hose, returning it to the wastewater collection tank. The only negative aspect that I've run into while using this robot vacuum is how loud the base station is when the vacuum is in self cleaning and emptying mode. It's much louder than running either our stick vac or central vacuum system, but it does thoroughly clean and dry the roller brush without any intervention from us and the roller brush comes out clean and dry afterwards so there are no lingering odours. If you can manage the current price point, I think this is an awesome 2-in-1 robot vacuum, so I'm giving it a highly recommended and 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I wanted to love this vacuum. It cleans corners VERY well. It doesn't eat my rugs and it is able to drop the back roller RIGHT after it leaves the rug perfectly on the floor. It drops the right amount of water and it cleans quietly. I have had no issues with the performance of the vacuum part. Two issues: There is no soap floor cleaner for this. I contacted Eufy support and they said to not use any third party cleaners as it could void the warranty. I asked what I should buy and they said only use Eufy floor cleaners. I asked for which one and they said they do not have a soap for this model yet. ok.. thanks for that.. The base station is SO loud when it empties that we cannot run this at night. I don't know if the e25 is going to have the same issue but as we work from home, our only real opportunity to use this is at night and it absolutely cannot be used at night. I think the app is well designed and i would keep this if the base station wasn't so loud and they actually released some soap for this thing, but unfortunately it has to go back.

- first initial mapping takes bit longer. After which during cleaning it's not as long. However if you had say your bedroom closed during the mapping during cleaning it may find that room if door is open which will add it to the map. Which can be great if want perhaps add to the map. Minus if you didn't want go in there or if can get stuck or something else. Which likely may find stairs if you didn't block off or add In app not go there - installing was quick and easy, downloading app and connecting to wifi without any issue. It is heavy weighing 42lb. Which may require extra help if unable to lift to get it set up. - it does detect floor and carpet mopping/ vacuuming flooring. - it vacuum pretty good picking up most fine debris and hair even. It's not perfect which will require some vacuuming like along walls or minor spots it may not picked up. It's not a 100% replacement for a vacuum however for what it does vacumn I would say does 80% of the vacuum. - moping is also not perfect and again mopping would be needing to get dirtier spots or mess. It does mop reasonable. Not a replacement for needing to mop. - I haven't tested out the deep cleaning nozzle yet as don't have anything that requires it quite yet. Will update when tested - when you first get it set up there is an offer for free floor cleaner and fabric cleaner currently waiting on it and can update when arrived and tested - it can detect lot stuff so it doesn't vacuum up. However would say still be caution with body parts or pets as may not detect right away and accidentally attack. Overall I'm quite impressed with this. Technology for vacuum/ mop robots has come far and it's does quite the job. Which can be beneficial if work away constantly or just a busy person. It's not 100% perfect however for what it does and touch up may need do after it is minor. I'm quite happy with it.

Very pleased with this Omni E28 from brand EUFY. It has already transformed my cleaning routine by bringing the "hydrojet" into the mix, which is a huge upgrade from my previous dry-only vacuum. The unit effortlessly takes care of things like dog hair, or cat puke; dry or wet, it doesn't matter. It did not take more than a day in my particular home, and I was able to test this vac unit on both of those scenarios; any variety of messes on carpeted or vinyl or wooden floors alike, particularly whenever my kids or pets are involved. For these kinds of messes, I feel confident already that this robot is going streamline and automate the process for me, making life significantly less complex; at least, for this part of it anyway. To elaborate further, the product offers a whopping 20,000 PA suction power, which is incredibly strong; literally twice the power of my previous robot vac which was already 10,000 PA. There is a new feature on this unit I did not previously have on my old one, called a detachable portable deep cleaning unit that is combined into the Omni station and allows manual pickup of deeper dirt and anything else; this is basically genius... particularly in combination with the bots own "corner-rover" arm, which allows the bot to remain seamless with harder to reach corner spaces. it is also really quite amazing just how many things on this device are not just partially, but entirely automated; the station can be set for self-refilling, self-washing, self-emptying, as well as hot air drying, automatic detergent dispensing, and wastewater collection. As a side note, there is very clear app control features for path setting and navigation tasks. Overall, it has a sleek, matte black exterior which is low profile, which tops off a list of features which make this new dry and wet vac and entirely user-friendly as a smart device aesthetic and premium cleaner, overall. I can schedule cleanings, track progress, and even control it remotely, it is easily as good or better than having my own live cleaning assistant. At least it does what it's told. I've already recommended the E28 to friends and family, and they are quite jealous that I have one. If you are thinking of getting a serious robot vacuum, I suggest there is no need to look further than this option. 5 very clean stars.
