This little beetle more than met my expectations.( I have not used the scheduling feature.) Pros: 1. Comes with a cleaning tool, extra side brushes and an extra filter. 2.Works on my dark colored rugs. 3. Picks up lots of dirt despite random action. 4. Is able to dock despite obstacles.(see details) 5. Handles a threshold of about .75 inches, close to its limits. (Sometimes it takes more than one try, or will seem to be stuck, then clears it.) 5. Does our thick area rugs. Cons: 1. The dock station is very lightweight and is sometimes moved by the RoboVac when it tries to dock. 2. I could not see where using the Max power level on the remote improved the suction on my dirtiest area rug. However, after the 3rd running( and not using the Max feature) the area rug looked great and stays looking great. Have realistic expectations: There are things the RoboVac can’t do: 1. It won’t go under recliner sofas. 2. It won’t go behind doors, where dust bunnies hide. Solution: I use a long handled microfiber dusting tool to pull out the dust and dirt from these areas, then run the RoboVac. Tips: Be patient. It took 3 days and 4 runnings to see lots of improvement. ( but emptying the dustbin will convince you it’s doing something) Clear obstacles. We put a chair in front of our open vertical blinds and move the music stand. Preform regular maintenance and cleaning. Conclusion: I would gladly pay full price for this RoboVac. Details: I am 68 years and my husband is 74. Last fall we had a home remodeled for us and had “hardwood” floors put in throughout. The area we live in is quite rural and dusty. There is fine sand that’s tracked in no matter how entry rugs you have ( and I have quality ones everywhere). We have 2 tiny fury “non-shedding” dogs which drag in a surprising amount of dirt. I had 2 back surgeries in my 30’s and now my back doesn’t care for vacuuming. My husband helps, but quite frankly we just didn’t do it often enough. I looked into buying a RoboVac last year. I looked at the well known brand and decided that there’s no way I could afford that, and if I were to put out that kind of money I would want the reviews to be close to 90% 5 star. They’re not. So I explored other brands. Eufy ( whoever that is) came out the winner. Still, I didn’t pull the trigger. Remodeling and moving expenses were adding up and our retirement budget was stretched to the max. But, the dirt continued to accumulate in our beautiful home. I happened to be going through the flash sales at the end of October and saw this Eufy RoboVac on sale. The discount was substantial. I did not hesitate. I ordered it immediately. Due to doctors appointments and other obligations the Amazon box sat unopened for 12 days. Finally I opened it, attached a few pieces and charged it. Then I pushed auto on the remote and she started her random work. She was confined to the kitchen and living room and 1 bath area as we have a dog gate separating that area from the rest of the house. She ran for over an hour. I was pleased about the following things: 1. She easily handled our area rug and matching runner even though the design has some patches that are almost black. 2. Even more surprising was that it cleaned our “charcoal grey” entry rug by the sliding glass door. I was sure it’s sensors would avoid that! 3. My husband, who was a skeptic of the random motions, was pleased and sold on it when I showed him the dustbin after she ran. 4 She was able to dock , even though she had to go under a chair and make several corrections to make the 90 degree turn to the dock. We were unable to give her a six fit clearance as recommended, so I was very surprised. After the first running, the charcoal grey rug was not 100% clean, but now after several runnings, it looks great. This was a real eyesore in our home as this is the door we would take the dogs in and of and there was always fine sand and dry grass and this time of year dry leaves in this rug. Not anymore! Next, I carried her from the base to the master bedroom and set her to work on the other side of the dog gate consisting of the master bedroom, master bath, laundry area, a music room which connects to the living room where the dog gate is and an office room. This area was rarely vacuumed by either of us . We do have to move the old fashioned heavy duty music stand to the other side of the dog gate, otherwise she will get stuck on one leg of the stand. Again she preformed flawlessly. The first day we picked up the 2 thick bathroom rugs we use by the bed, but the second day I forgot, and she handled them great. We have 2 extra long adjustable twin beds in the bedroom which have several wires under them. My husband tied the wires up and we also put the beds up in the highest position for the legs and head. She does great with this area, too. My biggest complaint is that the base is very light weight and is easily moved by the “ beetle” when she tries to dock. We will have to come up with a remedy for that. I have not used the scheduling feature and I probably won’t. I am afraid one of two dogs would leave a surprise for her the one time I forgot to check. Running her with the remote has worked for us.

I have had this vacuum for over a year now since Nov 2018, and this has been the best purchase ever. I literally run this thing 1 time a day, and sometimes 2 times a day, everyday, for the last year! We had a long-haired cat, so there is always fur. Our house is about 3000 sq ft, spread throughout 3 levels. We have dark hardwoods throughout our main floor, with many low pile area rugs. On the same level is a bathroom with tile and rugs, and a couple of bedrooms with a medium pile carpet. The vacuum moves freely throughout that level of my home, moving between hardwood, carpet, rugs, and tile with no issue! The only thing you have to watch for is cords and shoelaces. I solved that problem by tying some of my cords in a way where they don’t drag on the ground, or I use the boundary strips under some furniture pieces where I tuck the cords behind the strips. And don’t forget to pick up your shoes. But if it ever does get caught on a cord, cellphone charger, or shoelace, it has not damaged it; it simply causes the vacuum to get stuck and caught. I have found it easy to pull the item from the vacuum to “unwind” it. I empty the canister in between each “run”, although I have found that you can get away with 2 runs before you must empty, but it’s pretty full. It’s simple to empty, you dump it in the trash and use the provided brush tool to brush out the dust. My mom saw me doing it and thought what’s the point of having a robo vac if you have to do that, but I told her the 30 seconds it takes each day to empty the canister, is worth my time of not having to vacuum and sweet my 1000 square foot of floors on my first floor of my house. We also have another 1000 sq ft finished basement that we rarely use, but I carry it down there occasionally and let it run down there too. That floor is vinyl with area rugs, and again no issues, or moves between hard floor and low pile rug just fine. The only thing is bc the docking station is upstairs, I just have to go down and retrieve the vacuum after a few hours to bring it up to the charger docking station, but it’s not a big deal to me...still I love this thing so much, that I plan to get a second one to keep on that level of my house since my basement is a big room. Our third level is more bedrooms and bathrooms, which is again carpet and tile, these bathrooms have high pile rugs. It does sometimes have trouble going over the high pile rugs in the bathroom, but not where it has gotten stuck, it just usually bunches up the rug and pushes it to the side. So often I just pick up the rugs and set on the toliet so it can move around and vacuum in the bathroom better. On the carpets it always seems to collect more dirt and hair, probably bc my cat likes to lay there, so I typically only run it one time on the carpet and then need to empty the filter and remove any hair tangle from the vacuum brush. Also, I take apart the filter and clean it with mild soap and water once a quarter. So not every month as they suggest, but every few months. This seems to be find. I have replaced the filter a few times and bought a 12 pack of replacement filters and brushes for like $12 on Amazon. Have only had to use a few so far! Also since I use this every day, I don’t find that I have to regularly vacuum my area rugs or my hardwoods. It is just my husband and I, so many days we never even walk through out living or dining room, and the eufy is enough keep it maintained until it is time to mop. I do additionally still sweep in my kitchen with a broom as needed bc that is a high traffic area and there is food that can drop. Also the bedrooms that are carpet and also a high traffic area, I do still vacuum with my upright, but I found that having this Eufy supplementing my upright vac is a great help with all the pet hair! The noise level is not bad. It obviously had to make noise, but it is significantly quieter than my upright when you run it on the standard level, which I typically do. The max suction level is louder, but I usually only use that in our master bedroom if I want a deeper level clean on our carpet. Also sometimes it goes over larger things (such as a plastic ice crystal that fell off a Christmas garland or the shell of a cat nail) and does not pick them up (it sort of shoots them out behind it), but it’s not a big deal to me, bc I gets all the pet fur, human hair, dust, and dirt, which are the main things I want it to get. The rare things it can’t pick up, I can get myself. Bottom line is anyone who has pets, and a lot of open square footage, should get this! A couple hundred bucks for something that you will use every day is so so so worth it! I have never wrote a review this long, but that is how much I love and recommend this vacuum. I have lots to say about it bc I use it so much. I really do plan to eventually get a second one for another level in my home. Also I think this would make a great gift for someone who is “techy” and just enjoyed gadgets, or it would make a great gift from adult children to their mother, as this would save her a lot of time.

This is a must have for people with pets - even if you have an army of maids and servants in an indian home. Your cleaning maid can just now pick up the amount of dust, pet hair, dirt and all kinds of other rubbish - specially under the beds, sofas and other furniture. I have tried the Deebot 500. In short, it was pathetic compared to this. The deebot made a lot of whining/grinding noise while moving, the app kept loosing connection to the bot and was an absolutely pathetic experience overall. This eufy doesn't have an app and cannot be controlled by alexa/google home. But dont be disappointed by that. What it has is even better - it has an old school physical remote. Now that remote does not allow you to set multiple cleaning schedules like deebot's app BUT it allows something even more convenient and nifty - it allows you to MANUALLY control the robot (full directional motion, including reverse and including forward acceleration!). This is an absolutely brilliant feature which nobody talks about and even their product marketing does not mention. This allows me to easily spot clean a carpet or other dirty surface manually for a minute and then send the robot back home! Let's talk about return to home function for a bit - this robot's return to home is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Deebot. I was shocked to find how easily and smartly it detects the charger/base station. It's algorithms are simply far superior to Deebot. It will first follow the walls from room to room till it reaches about 10 feet from the charger, and then it simply starts moving straight to the charger. We even have some furniture between the robot and charger's line of sight - it simply moves AROUND them when it is within 10 feet. It seems to be using some form of laser based radar to detect the charger. Pretty neat for this price point! This robot is the first of many robot vacuums in my 2400 square feet house that has a success rate of 95% of cleaning on schedule and then returning to its base station everyday! And that is the one thing that matters MOST in a robot vacuum The 2 strips that they included for free are also a unique feature - i've installed them in the balcony doors and the entrance door and it never crosses them. They've even included a spare HEPA filter! All in all a very good package for the price!

Great buy. It does its job well, going around our busy apartment floor (we have 2 children, so toys are everywhere) and collection all the dust. Although it does it in a rather random fashion. Some minor issues with docking, at times it will go back and forth at the dock or simply freeze few inches back. Also, it bumps into anything that’s black.

I purchased this Eufy about 5 months ago. It has exceeded all my expectations. It is my 1st RoboVac, so I have nothing to compare to, but given that I am absolutely impressed with this unit, I am glad I did not spend more on some of the higher end RoboVacs because this one seems very good to me. I live in a 1-bedroom apt with a dining room (hardwood and tile floors) and this vac has just enough battery power to vacuum the entire place in one shot. I am stunned every time I use it at how much dirt it finds every time, even when the hardwood looks clean. It has improved air quality in my home. I have an area rug in the dining room and in the past 5 months, the Eufy only got stuck on the carpet edge 3 times. It will not handle fringes - like any power vac. My bed-skirts are 1.25 inches above the floor and the Eufy slips under them and cleans under the beds and couches! Extremely easy to empty and very easy to clean the filters. After 5 months of weekly use, my brushes are still in perfect shape and my bet is I get at least a year out of the brushes. I have a cat and my Eufy finds large amounts of cat hair. Having the Eufy go under the beds and couches, etc is such a major improvement over a canister or push vac I still smile every time I use it. I have used my other vacs only once in the past five months to pick up a major rice crispie spill. Otherwise the Eufy has handled all my vacuuming needs. It works fine in auto-mode but requires human action to switch from area cleaning to edge cleaning. Both are needed to get a room spotless clean, so though it handles timed programming to clean while you are gone, I think it really works best if someone is there to supervise. But it is independent enough to allow me to do other things while it vacuums. And that can even be watching TV because the sound level on the Eufy is much quieter than I expected. I find this to be a fantastic product in every respect so far. No more sweeping either! My floors and air are cleaner than ever and I am using only a fraction of the time I used to spend to get these better results. Woohoo!

Click to play video I have the best vacuum cleaner and had a decent domestic help but none of them kept me satisfied as this robovac! My house floors are always clean despite my pets (cat) sheds a lot of hair. Eufy gave me a reality check as it picked up so much dirt and hair that was Invisible on the clean floor. I turn it on for close to an hour and it does a great job without any supervision. This is quiet and has great suction power . Even managed to swallow all my hair ties that were lost /found under the couch. For under 15k This is the best one can get I suppose. One observation/advice if you have a playful cat - I have to use the max mode when my cat is around because he tries to attack /pull those bristles when in normal mode . This makes little more sound so that cat leaves it alone.
