**UPDATE** I had a warranty claim pretty quickly. Not sure what happened, but I ended up with 1 dead camera out of 2. To my surprise, they seem to have addressed my major gripes about the S hook and the wire terminals. This looks way better (pic attached)! There is now a nylon loop to hold the camera up while you do the wiring. the wires have reusable Wago-style connectors, which ought work very nicely, especially negating the need for a screwdriver to connect wires now. Very good. ______________________________________________________________________________ Original Review: Cameras work great. Video is excellent, AI tracking is good, automations are good. I love the 3x zoom camera in addition to the wide angle. No need for a cloud subscription is a huge plus, like everyone else is saying. Overall, I'm happy, even though one of 2 has died within 2 weeks of installing it and now I have to figure out what the RMA is like. For the $, I'm glad I got these, because for even more money, 24/7 recording is a must have. I don't think there is anything on the market that has everything this has with none of the downsides until you get to $1000+ cameras. Gripes: No Matter, this is a huge deal, but I'll consider these an interim solution and one day they'll get replaced with Matter-enabled cameras when they come out. No video in Google Home. Only floodlight control. Floodlight color temp is not adjustable. I want warm white light. The color temp isn't too blue, however, so I can live with it. Does not tilt up high enough. My front yard has a very slight uphill grade. These cameras weren't designed with any up tilt. As a result, the 3x camera can't even reach the horizon. Not an issue with the wide camera. This is an an easy oversight and would have been an easy thing to avoid, just design the tilt limit to go above horizontal 10 degrees or so. My biggest issues are with installation... 2 screws that secure the camera to its base, the last thing you do for physical installation, are on the sides. Depending on what you have near the camera, it could be difficult or impossible to get at those screws. In my case it meant an angled screwdriver. It would have just been better if they put the screws in the bottom/front face instead of the sides. The big silly S-hook to hold the camera up while you make the wire connections is dumb. High-end CCTV cameras use a cable lanyard that stays on the camera and tucks away when you button up the camera. This thing has to be kept somewhere handy if you ever need to bring the camera down. The worst thing about install is the wire connector/terminal block... 1. the screws that pinch the wires are WAY TOO SMALL. I don't feel good about how secure the wires are in there with such tiny screws 2. you can't fit a normal philips screwdriver in the plastic wire terminal housing, got to find a micro screwdriver. I think the screws would fit a #1 philips bit, but it's too deep and the plastic around it is too small diameter to fit a #1. Also since they're so small, the good luck not stripping out the philips head on the screw with the undersized screwdriver you have to use. 3. once you have the wires tightened into the terminal block, you're supposed to press it into it's place in the camera base, but it's just a friction fit. You end up fighting it into place, and it pops out of place easily because the copper wires are stiff and trying to pop it out all the time. The whole wire terminal block they used is total garbage and they need to do better. This is the single worst thing about this camera... if they last more than a couple years, that is.

The eufy Security Floodlight Camera E340 is hands down one of the best additions I’ve made to my home security setup. As a loyal eufy customer, I had high expectations—and once again, eufy did not disappoint. The dual-camera system is a game-changer. The panoramic view paired with a zoom lens offers incredible coverage and detail, leaving no blind spots around my property. The 360° pan feature works flawlessly, and the image quality—both day and night—is crystal clear. The floodlights are impressively bright and activate instantly with motion detection, giving me peace of mind and better visibility. Setup was simple, and it integrated seamlessly with my existing eufy devices, which I already trust to keep my home safe. I also love that there's no monthly subscription required to access important features. Local storage and smart alerts make it easy to monitor everything without any hassle or hidden fees. eufy continues to set the bar high for smart home security, and the E340 Floodlight Camera is a shining example. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about upgrading their outdoor protection.

Updated review. I have to give credit where credit is due. After publishing the critical review (below) over random full-page, pop-up ads on the Eufy security app, Anker/ Eufy customer service contacted me. I have to admit, I didn’t think they would be able to remove the pop-up ads on their app on my iPhone and iPad pro. I thought they were going to give me some “corporate speak” BS about how they are “dedicated to customer service” blah blah blah... and then not fix the problem. Well, I was mistaken. They apparently had their engineers make a couple of tweaks to my app and presto! No more pop-up ads. So if you have issues with pop-up ads on Eufy, reach out to their customer service people and make your case. I didn’t mention… the products work well. I have a doorbell, the S380 base with a hard drive upgrade and 3 security camera/ light kits. They all perform well. Time will tell if they are durable. So Kudos Eufy. ****************** I’m about $1000 into a new Eufy security system with multiple Eufy cameras and lights around my home. Until today the system has worked well and as advertised. However, early this morning I heard a suspicious noise outside my home. When I grabbed my phone to check my security cameras, I WAS GREETED BY A FULL-PAGE, EUFY POP-UP AD which blocked my access to my security system. The ad would not click away until about 15 seconds had elapsed. This delay in allowing me to access my security system is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! Had the noise been burglars or even a home invasion robbery, (which are happening with more frequency in my area) my response time, in defending my family and my home, could have been seriously delayed. This compels me to ask… IS EUFY A SERIOUS SECURITY SYSTEM OR A CHILD’S VIDEO GAME? Eufy needs to immediately update their app to allow users (Customers) to opt out of all “pop-up” advertisements while using the app. There are already two (2) permanent software buttons on the “Home- dashboard” page of the App dedicated to up-selling the customer to purchase cloud service, security monitoring service, and/ or additional Eufy products. Ironically, one of the main selling points of the Eufy system is the option to opt-out of cloud monitoring subscription fees and store one’s data on a EUFY “Home Base” server (available at additional cost) to avoid subscription fees and potential data breaches of cloud storage. Until EUFY updates their mobile security app to allow users to opt-out of all NAG-WARE, pop-up advertising, I cannot consider EUFY a serious security platform and cannot recommend their “security camera” systems. Fix your damn app.

Works amazing. It was an easy install and the camera works great. Looking at getting the home base station for the AI face tracking feature. But maybe that'll be in the future.

The screws are small and Philips it was hard to keep the screws on the end of the screw driver. If they used Torque screws or Square screws it would have really helped. The video and lighting is fantastic could not be happier. I was quite surprised that it actually panned and followed targets….:) Thanks Eufy. I also bought the Base and installed a 1tb hard drive so no more monthly fees. It was costing me 220 $ a year in fees from their competitor and the quality was poor, they only kept the videos for 30 days. With Eufy there are no fees and I decide when to delete videos with the 1tb hard drive on the base station. I think I am good for 10 years.

This is a high quality camera and the pan function is very good. Pros: - No monthly subscription. - Can control and view remotely from the App. - Push notifications to your phone. - The A.I. can detect people, pets, and vehicles, and also pan the camera to follow them. - You can set zones to detect and zones to ignore. And you can set privacy zones to not record. - when paired with the Eufy homebase 3, 24/7 recording is supported. Cons: - The A.I. is still learning so it gets confused easily, I had to turn off push notifications because every time it snows it would constantly notify me of people being detected when it would just be snow flakes. - The detection zone doesn't work, the camera constantly detects vehicles driving by outside of the detection zones -If you set privacy zones the camera will no longer pan.

Flawless operation, with or without a home base. Hardwire this into your home and let it work its magic. Worth buying, but keep in mind, the sensor light has a hard time with people dressed in all dark clothing walking slowly. So you may miss one or two bad guys with the light itself, but the camera picks them up without issue.

No monthly fees. Good images 👍easy set up. Helpful to have an electric expert install as it is heavy.
