If you have a Sharp brand TV this remote will serve its purpose just fine. After putting in batteries, I was able to turn the TV on without issue. I did notice delayed or no response occasionally after hitting the menu button and trying to change some of the TV settings. I was able to change what I needed to, but had had position the remote just right and push in the buttons hard in order to get it to respond. Overall, it is still much better and more convenient than the alternative when losing a remote and using the buttons on the TV that I am glad that I purchased.

I bought and out of the box Samsung display tv from BB. Came without a remote. Found this on amazon. Works great right out of the box. No issues. Controls all aspects of tv so far.

Remote is not an original Samsung part. It does work sporadically, despite having paired with the TV as directed. I didn’t realize I was buying a knock off device, but it makes sense since price is significantly lower than an original Samsung Remote. Buyer be wary that functionality may be mediocre.
