So worth the money! I had previously purchased a similar dual cleaning robot from another brand (same price point) and I was extremely disappointed. I thought, maybe I just had too high of expectations for a robot vacuum in the $400 price range. I decided to return the previous vac and give this one a Hail Mary last chance. I’ve had it for a week and could not be happier. -The AI in this compact robot vacuum is wonderful, it senses every obstacle (small, large, dog bowl, cords etc). Hardly bumps into anything! It mapped out my home in about 15 minutes and was highly accurate. -quiet for a vac -can choose the vac suction level and amount of water flow for mopping or you can do automatic to adjust to the level of soiling/floor type -app is great and very user friendly. I like that it shows me the exact path of where the vac went. I also like that I can pick which room/rooms I want cleaned at a certain time instead of having to select the whole house every time. -does a great job at vacuuming. I enjoy coming home and seeing the perfectly straight “lines” in the carpet -my only complaint is that the dust bin isn’t bagless. This is a super minor inconvenience.

UPDATED: Since submitting this review, Roborock has gone up above and beyond. I completely stand corrected on their customer service and will remain brand loyal. They replaced my unit, provided a $50 credit for any inconvenience, and tracked the shipment of my new unit until it was delivered to my home. Also, the whole Q8 system is working perfectly now, including the self-emptying feature. It’s a must-have for households with animals. The set up is quick and easy and the vacuum performs incredibly. Amazing suction… my house feels so much cleaner with my Q8. Thank you so much, Roborock! Original Review: I bought this Roborock in November 2024. The self-emptying feature has worked a total of three times. I followed all the instructions Roborock sent to remediate however, the issue still persists. Roborock wants me to mail the unit back for repair, which could take roughly a week for repair alone. Super inconvenient considering the size of house, the amount of people and dogs that live in it, and that I use this machine multiple times a day. I asked for an exchange, and they weren’t open to that idea. My suggestion would be to buy a less expensive Roborock without the self-emptying feature. Other than this key issue, the vacuum itself works quite well. I scored a 3-star for two reasons: 1. Customer service response didn’t meet my expectations or solve the problem (yet) without serious inconvenience. 2. The major reason I bought this vacuum was because I have a large house with dogs. Self-emptying was a big feature I needed. Well, this unit does not actually self-empty as advertised. I’ll add, this is my third Roborock. Because of my recommendation, my mom and sister also own a Roborock. I’m a huge stickler for customer experience. If you’re building a good product, it’s not that often that customer service is needed. That said, I expected more from Roborock with a unit this new (just exchange it, refurb the other, and resell it). I’m brand loyal, but this experience will make me look at other robot vacuum brands the next time I’m in the market for one. For now, I’m going to use this one as-is without the self-emptying feature I paid a premium for.

If you're on the fence about buying this vacuum, just buy it. It's worth it. My wife and I already had another brand of robot vacuum, albeit one of their lower-end models and weren't thrilled about it. It binked around each room cleaning the best it could and more often than not got hung up or trapped so,ew here and we'd have to go around the house trying to find it. It was nice when it worked as intended, and that wasn’t very often. We decided it wasn’t even worth the hassle and decided to shelve it, and were debating whether to get another robot vacuum or just give up on the idea entirely. Then we happen to see a YouTube review of this particular vacuum. It got a glowing review, and had few, if any, drawbacks. We were skeptical, but decided we would just send the vacuum back if it didn’t live up to our expectations and maybe revisit the idea of a robot vacuum somewhere down the line. So we ordered this one and gave it a try. Man, am I glad that we did. The stuff that we heard about this vacuum isn’t just hype. This vacuum is the real deal. It does everything we need it to do and we rarely have to mess with anything having to do with it other than emptying out its container every day or two. The only thing that would make this vacuum perfect is if it emptied itself, other than that, it does it all. It has a lidar (laser) scanner that it uses for room mapping and navigating. it’s a game changer. You can use your digital assistant or the app to tell it to clean a specific room of the house or even a specific location in between rooms. You can set a schedule so that it can vacuum rooms or areas in a specific sequence, and on certain days if you like. There’s a lot of flexibility. Once it has a map of the house it doesn’t just bink around trying to find it’s way. If it’s going to a room, it just goes there. And it cleans in a really efficient z-pattern once it is there, which saves time and battery life. When it’s going back to the dock, it probably finds it’s way back 99.99% of the time. When it has a low battery, it will remember where it was, go recharge, and then resume cleaning. It’s a smart little guy. We have dogs and cats, and therefore a lot of pet hair. Our other robot vacuum’s rollers would constantly get hair tangles in it that we would have to get out, and it sucked to do. Super tedious. Whatever roller technology this vacuum uses doesn’t have this issues, and we’ve only had to clean the roller a few times and it was rarely due to pet hair. It also has an air filter that’s washable! This is an awesome, awesome vacuum, and my wife and I have never once regretted buying it. For our use case, It’s fantastic in every way.

I was looking for a robot that can really vacuum and mop well, and thought that is not possible. I had a Neato XV Signature Pro that vacuums well, and thought that could not be surpassed. I was wrong. Roborock S5 Max could do either or both vacuuming and mopping very well. The other features that one can use from the App is wonderful too. Bought a unit for my parents and might buy one for my in-laws. "The Rock" is now our BFF!

Me llego el mismo dia que se coloco, la verdad cada vez que la uso siempre pienso que no hay polvo y saca polvo hasta de donde no hay. Totalmente recomendado, el mapeo y sus configuraciones son de muy alta calidad
